Chone will be missed by fans for his like-ability and his energy/effort on the field, but the Angels and Mgr. Soscia will have little or no problem replacing his talent and contribution as the Major League is filled with similarly talented individuals. The real loss is an attachment (sentimentality) applied by baseball fans to individuals representing the team they follow and root for. Best of luck to Chone (except when facing the Angels) and enjoy Seattle, brother...like the OC, it's a great place to live!

Never, never, never does a team get hurt losing a light hitting (although for a good average) guy like Chone. Much like his buddy Juan, they are fairly easy to replace with the same quality (not how easily the Dodgers got Hudson who is essentially the same kind of player. I look for them to plug the hole with soemone who will hit with more power but won't be the sparkplug Chone is.
That's what we said about Troy Galus.
