I wish the poll had the option of 'no, he wouldn't make a good governor.' I don't think he should run whether or not he has a chance of winning...that would be the last reason someone should decide to run or not. The first question should be 'Would I do a good job?'

Right now Los Angeles needs Mayor Villaraigosa's leadership to guide us through very troubled times. He is a young man and building up Los Angeles will position him for a really powerful run in the future. Jerry Brown is clearly the front runner with statewide support, it would be a mistake for Antonio to go back on his promise to Los Angeles only to lose to Brown. It is, of course, very tempting for Antonio, but I hope he stays focused on his job.

if all villaraigosa is concerned about is a) himself b) latinos and c) labor he just shrank the state down to the size of east l.a. !
