Which was the bigger surprise: Dodgers sweeping Cardinals or Angels sweeping Red Sox?

I eee total of the voting is close, but as everybody points out, the Angels HAD trouble with the Red Sox. Now our team faces the Yankees with NY having home field advantage. So far that isn't a problem for the Angels. I hope to see the FREE WAY SERIES. It keeps getting close, neither team has made it that far in a few years. Both teams, Dodgers and Angels have great managers. Good luck to both!

I get tired of the east coast sports shows not giving the west coat teams any surport. And it's all about the east coast look at the dodgers and angels record it's not a surprise.I'm not surprise at the results.

How unlikely this is, that there is no suspense. Speaks well of their records over the long haul. What has surprised me in the series (all), is the frequency of inaccurate umpire calls on balls and strikes, in particular. With the electronic monitoring of the strike zone, are umpires really necessary? Why hasn't this been a subject for the media?

Two wonderful surprises. But the nod clearly goes to the Angels because of (1) their recent dismal history against Boston in the playoffs and (2) the game 3 comeback. And, in retrospect, (3) the surprise of the Dodger win was largely created by the media's sportswriters, most of whom predicted a St. Louis victory apparently without looking closely at how the Cardinals had achieved their 91 wins.

Here's to every true-blue-and-or-red southern Cal baseball fan's 48-year-old dream: the Freeway World Series!
