Yay a new poll. I would love to see a variety show. Mariah is hilarious and can sing so the combo would be great. I hope she has a Cannon baby too. That would be too cool. I might check out Tennesse. When will she have time for a christmas movie? But I will watch it. The tour is last for me and only if she really feels it and is ready vocally to commit to that. 1. Baby if that is what they want, 2. Variety show 3. acting.

Oh NO!! It's Nick who's directing ISIL video. Remember what happened to Bye Bye videom(which Nick directed)? The song's message was wasted and flopped due to the irrelevant video. Bye Bye was not that bad of a video. It was number one on Yahoo for weeks and over 20million hits on You Tube. Many people love it. Illegal downloads are the problem for most stars declining sales this year. Besides Nick directed the Love Story Video which we have not been able to see. Portions of that footage were used in Bye Bye, according to MC to lighten the mood of the video. I got it and enjoyed it. Besides someone else is listed as the director of the BB video. NEWay, they must have paid lots to have Chris Applebaum direct IBLULT and that video was hideous! (refund please) Lamds should stop trying to hate on this woman's husband cause it's 4 Real, 4 Real and she plans on loving him long time. Be positive folks.

What i'm trying to say is that after the video "Touch my Body"; all her videos were not that good in my opinion. And it really affected her chart performance. ISIL is such a beautiful song( even better than WBT IMAO); it always gives me goosebumps everytime i hear it and makes me cry too. IT needs a good and meaningful video for people to greatly appreciate this masterpiece. I wish that NICK will come out with a good video.

What would you think in the video for ISIL was a WBT part two. The story line could be something like a love triangle with Mariah breaking up with the guy from Prison Break (who did her wrong) and maybe moving on with a black guy who could stand for Nick.
Anyway, I think the song will do very well regardless of the video because the song itself is just too beautiful. I rememder the first time I saw the video for WBT I didn't think it was great but we all know what happened with it has gone down in history books. On the contrary, the first time I watched the video for It's Like That I was literally blown away.

Ok, I'm not sure if I'm loving those photos from the video shoot.
The car is hot, and so is Mariah... but I'm just hoping that critics wont' pounce on her because of her wardrobe.
I was hoping that this would be a classy video.
One where she could work on her dramatic skills--specially towards the end of the song.

Hey guys, what is happening? It's so easy to contribute to make I Stay In Love (ISIL) in Mariah's 19th #1.
Mariah needs to have at least 20 #1's before december next year in order to get Billboard's Artist of the Decade Award.
ISIL is our last change to get a number one during this year, but our support is the only thing we can provide at this moment. We should be united as fans.
Let pick a week during november in order to download the song and put it in the top 10. What about from Nov 25th to Dec 2nd? I think it's enought time to increase air play and give her some time for promotion, then BOMB! a new #1.

Ok...i think i know why the song is not been downloading from many people... In the UK the song downloads were low, but after the performance of the song it debuted on the itunes top 100 at #99 and now it's #64... So the song must be promoted in the US to get enough downloads

Rolling Stone is like the 'Star Magazine' of music magazines. They aren't reliable at all. Heck they were the only ones to give Emancipation of Mimi like a 2.5 rating when it came out. They're unreliable and very biased and I wouldn't be caught dead with a magazine like that. I have noticed that Mariah has been very unemotional when she sings live and when she is being interviewed. No expression besides a wide smile here and there. That can really take a toll one how people view her. She comes of as very disinterested with everything. And her videos lately seem like she strains to make facial expressions. Very bland performance and feeling being shown. Compare the videos for We Belong Together to I Stay in Love and you'll see how much expression she's lost in her performance. She used to be larger than life when she was interviewed. Don't know what thats all about. I don't know why Mariah doesn't promote her songs anymore. I mean I understand Nick is a part of her life now and she can enjoy her life but to just give up and half-ass this record is confusing. Is it the label ? Is it Mariah? Is it Nick? Yes, unfortunately it seems like I Stay In Love isn't taking off.
But I don't think it's the fault of the lambs for being "lazy."
First off, it's not our jobs to support someone's career. Yes, we all love Mariah, and I owe a lot to her music. It has healed me in numerous ways... but that doesn't mean that it's my job to make a single number one. I've done what I could, I bought the album, and I request the song here, and there.
If a single "flops," it shouldn't be blamed on the fans. Bottom line is that Mariah needs a new marketing team. It's also time that she truly works on her image. It's been 7 years since Glitter, and people are STILL making fun of that. Mariah needs to understand, that there are a lot of people out there who envy her, and the moment she does one little thing that's off, people will jump on that, and make a big deal out of it. It sucks, but that's how it is. The main thing that keeps non-fans making fun of her, is her wardrobe. Mariah is very talented, but people aren't taking her serious, when she wears some of those outfits. She really has to work on her image, otherwise she won't be taken seriously.

Going back to the singles becoming a hit... Well, a hit, is a hit. It definitely helps if you promote it, but the bottom line is that a great song will take off on it's own. I mean look at Rihanna, not that she compares at all to MC, but let's talk about "Umbrella." That song took off in a heartbeat. Now did Rihanna have a bunch of "lambs" requesting songs, and all that... NO! The song was promoted well, and the song was DIFFERENT, so it peaked people's interest.
Actually, that's the reason why Touch My Body did well. Good promotion, and it was something new. If she wants the ISIL to do well, then she needs to promote the living butterfly out of that song. That's her job, there's only so much we can do.

HollywoodLeo, I completely agree with you. Its not up to us Lambs to completely carry a single to number one. The vast majority of America has to be feeling the song too. Oh and about that whole letting us choose the single this site dropped the ball by keeping shitty choices for singles from an old voting poll. They assumed that since voters wanted one of those songs to be the third single that we would be happy with one of them as the fourth. The problem is that after the disaster of the second and third single none of the choices were actually right to put out and we should have had a choice to choose from the entire album to select something with a different appeal and a different vibe to counteract the bleakness. Right to dream actually has a better chance at making it since its different. I didn't vote for ISIL its a less effective version of WBT. But don't don't even get me started on the lack of promotion on the last three songs. Marketing people! They have degrees for that! I don't think Island Def Jam understands the importance of this concept. Oh wait they do... only if its Rihanna. Oh and where are the remixes at? The REAL 'new vocals' remixes. Not the 'fan generated' remix or the 'lets throw the hottest rapper in the middle of the song' remix. And it IS Mariah's job as an artist to promote her material and it IS Mariah's label's job to set this up. We'll see if this month late promotion can salvage this single. I'll help as much as I can here and there till next week but only because her music got me through some tough times and for me her talent makes up for all the bad choices.

You people need to chill, and stop calling E=MC2 a flop. Yes, it definitely hasn't sold as much as we would've liked... but it has broken many records for Mariah.
First off, this album had the biggest opening in Mariah's career. None of her previous albums had sold that much in it's first week. This album contains the song which beat Elvis' record. Now she is the solo artist with the most number one hits, and who has been at number the longest on the charts.
So good things came out of this album. It's unfortunate that the last three singles haven't done well, and yes, ISIL has actually done the poorest.
This goes to show that music is changing fast, and Mariah needs to keep up. If Rihanna has the most number one hits of this decade--then there has definitely been a change in music. Mariah's next CD needs to be ultra hot, with a whole new style. She needs to have club banging songs, and she also needs to bring back those power ballads that only Mariah can do. She needs to take risks. She did with this album, there's a lot of songs that are not the usual Mariah... but the singles were the usual... I think the biggest mistake was Bye Bye. It brought down the momentum the album had gained through TMB. TMB was a fun mellow song, and Bye Bye was too depressing. The should've released Migrate, or Side Effects. People would've been shocked by the "new" Mariah, and they would've kept buying the album. Anyhow, what's done is done. From the looks of it, she IS pregnant. So we might not get a new album for a while.

#2 Biggest flop: E=MC2

It's difficult to think of an album that flopped harder in 2008 than Carey's E=MC2, which, given the fact that it's currently the sixth-best-selling album of the year, is saying something about just how impossibly high the expectations were. The long-in-the-works follow-up to her career-reviving The Emancipation of Mimi, it debuted at #1 and has sold nearly 1.2 million copies to date. But the fact remains that no one seems particularly excited about it — especially not Carey, who promoted it with a ho-hum interview on "Oprah" and a downright bizarre video for the first single "Touch My Body," which featured "30 Rock" actor Jack McBrayer wailing on a fake guitar, wearing a Viking helmet and parading around with a unicorn. As a follow-up, she married actor Nick Cannon and basically disappeared from public life. Neither of the three subsequent singles from the album did much of anything, and to date, E=MC2 has sold less than one-fifth of what Emancipation did. Oh, and her big year was topped off with the announcement that her much-discussed film "Tennessee" will not open in December but rather, in February. Always a good sign.

Its official. I will no longer support ISIL. I'm tired of the safe singles that make the album look like Emancipation regurgitation. If Mariah wants to grow balls and tell her label that she wants to take a risk and put out a single that will actually be played on radio then i can support her. I feel like either she or the label just got bored releasing this whole album. There were some very awesome hits on the album. Migrate, 4Real 4Real, OOC, For the Record, Thanx 4 Nothing, and Side Effects. All of which I heard before the album was released that they would be instant singles. Maybe Mariah has reached her musical peak? Maybe she doesn't have any more dreams and aspirations since meeting Nick? All I know is No one knew how to properly promote this album which is sad because I'm pretty sure a person as big as Mariah Carey can afford people who know what they are doing. And don't complain to me about my beliefs. I can be disappointed if I feel I have reason to feel that way. RIP the musical genius and supreme talent that was Mariah Carey. Quoting another great voice "I will always love you."

Give up and retire? No, she released one of her best albums she's ever made, "The Emancipation of Mimi." Never underestimate Mariah's resiliance and power to bounce back. Yea Mariah is still the greatest artist IMHO she made several mistakes that disappointed me during the run of this album but she is still a success. She'll bounce back out of this. I'll always have faith in her. I really hope that the next single is fun and different and perfect for what people crave these days. PS 'Right to Dream' is an awesome hit worth helping out as well. I don't see ISIL gaining public airplay but I'll support it like a faithful Lamb that I am :D I'm very glad to see Mariah finally happy in love and I hope that it can reflect well on her success.

I mean her album didn't get promoted properly and it didn't reach the true potential that only Mariah could achieve but she's set herself more and more this year into the record books, into film and into a lot of great causes. I am very pleased that Mariah performed a christmas song "Baby please come home", finally a live performance of that song. I do hope she can perform the other tracks in the same capacity. I think of her album as being the best Christmas album to date, but I think it needs more tracks and more ballads. I would vote more for the Chritsmas HBO as opposed to others. I like the others, but Christmas is the best in my opinion.

I do wish Carey the greatest success, I just wished Billboard would allow her Christmas songs to debut again. I know that " All i want for Christmas is You" would have gone to number one, had they revised again, because year after year it tops the hot Digital Tracks especially during this time.

Anyways, I think Mariah should release more Christmas songs that we can relate to. I think there's more in her when it comes to writing and singing Christmas songs. We need knew Christmas songs but also with a kind of classic sound!

Well if they were expecting big ratings on Grammy night they can count me out the only reason i ever watch awards shows is to to see Mariah. I won't watch the grammy's next year! In the case of Mimi, it could be a punishment for appearing on the American Music Awards last month, and accepting awards from them. There has long been an unwritten rule that if an artist did anything with the AMAs, owned by Dick Clark Productions and considered a minor rival, the Grammys wouldn't allow you on their show.
