My full time job is as a service manager for a multi line dealership. Ive been racing quads for about 9 years now. We are starting to see the bike guys switch back to 2 strokes to save money on rebuilds. I thought this has been real interesting. As many of you know they were about done. Our ATV racers aren't practicing anymore and just saving the bikes for races. To rebuild these 450s is big bucks so a cheap way to go may be a clean 250r. You can get them all day long for cheap. A fresh rebuild is $500. Ive seen 450s after a broken rod or bent valve and the motor will grenade, some rebuild have been over $4000 :( . outside of that car pool like crazy!!!
