What's up here. It is 8:00 Thursday October 9th. The results of the debate that was supposed to be at 9:00 Thursday are already posted. I just heard about this yesterday. There is nothing on the schedule about the debate and there is nothing being broadcast at the moment. Is this some kind of joke.

How Can There Be Results Before Debate Even Starts ???

I want to see to it that one "third party" gets enough votes to tip over the corrupt (and dangerous) two party system. I saw early on that Chuck Baldwin and the Constitution Party had the greatest opportunity to do just that. Ron Paul has endorsed Dr. Chuck Baldwin and that is enough for me!

2008-10-09 20:30:32 ET

I just found the message regarding this broadcast. It really made me feel good seeing the wide spectrum of Third Party and Independent candidates that were invited to participate.

Unfortunately, I found the message at 6:20 PM Pacific Standard Time. By the time I got into this site everything seemed to be over and the results had already been posted.

Now I am sorry that some of the presidential candidates didn't make it to this debate.

How long did this program air?

Maybe I will do better at getting here on time the next time...if there is a next time.

Anyway, I am glad to see alternative media growing. Maybe some day We can even build an alternative economy and moral society.

Respectfully, DAN 1

Just so you know, it is now 9:50pm eastern time and I am listening to the debate between all of them right now. The voting is going on as they debate.
http://revolutionbroadcasting.com/ is where it is on. On the website baldwin08.com if you go to the news/media link and click on Constitution Party Radio you will be able to hear it.

I voted Chuck Baldwin because of the single answer that he is totally against the NAU and the loss of America.

This has been great so far (still listening). So sad Bob Barr isn't participating since I am a Libertarian. So - Chuck Baldwin, since a Ron Paul supporter, gets my vote. Some of the other guys seemed to skirt around the issue of the "failed" drug war. Yes, if someone commits a crime, like drinking and driving (or drugs and driving) they should be prosecuted -- but not for the "use" of. It was the last gentleman, I think the Socialist person, that was indicating responsibility, but didn't understand the difference.

Voting my conscience, Ron can't win it but Chuck dam sure can!

2008-10-09 21:17:53 ET

Although I was tempted, I waited till the end of the first hour, when Chuck had to leave. I would to see the other independent candidates get behind Chuck, and lets go for it in the next few weeks. I believe we CAN win.

2008-10-09 21:26:10 ET

I doubt we have any chance of winning this thing unless at least two of the "third party" candidates appear on some major news station, namely CNN. I know that would definitely get the word out about the Freedom Movement.

2008-10-09 21:39:36 ET

Thanks RTR and the Presidential candidates for this !!! :D
The major news media can not be trusted :(

It seems that the majority still follow like sheep. The reason for this debate is to understand the perspectives of the different candidates and their positions on particular issues. Although, I believe people haven't been listening at all, and simply vote for a popular name. Wake up, think for yourselves!

2008-10-09 21:48:59 ET

A vote for either RINO or DINO is a truly wasted vote.

Also....The Wall Street Bailout is unconstitutional.

VOTE THIRD PARTY AND BE PART OF THE NEW REVOLUTION!

2008-10-09 21:51:07 ET

It's been a long time since I have felt anything good about politics.... but this debate is one of those times. I found that Chuck Baldwin lines up more with the principles and doctrines this Country was founded on... and if I felt that my vote was actually going to count for anything... i would cast it for Chuck.

I want to thank ALL of the candidates for participating and Everyone who was responsible for putting this debate together and making it happen.

I believe the proposed moratorium on building prisons should not be put in place until one more prison is built. That Prison would hold for life sentences without parole every treasonous politician and globalist banker and corrupt judge that sold America out. Or hang them until dead. Many traitors have been tried and convicted and executed for less than what these criminals have done.

2008-10-09 21:55:32 ET

I waited until after the first hour to cast my vote as well, and I thought that Chuck Baldwin held up best of all comers, so he got my vote. I sincerely hope that there are enough people in the USA who actually know the man exists...the biggest problem is that the mainstream media isn't concerned with ISSUES, but SOUND BITES. Sound bites are NOT going to fix the economy or save people's lives...and until people understand this, or are capable of thinking for themselves as a general rule, this world's gonna be n for a whole lot of trouble before anything gets better!

Polls mean very little since the Baldwin crowd obviously knew way ahead of time this debate would be on. Jonathan Allen is right ... only a true change of HEART will sway the majority of America to chnage its votes to a TRUE leader. Most people are just too duped into thinking that only the status quo parties have an air of legitimacy ... they are controlled by FEAR ... they stick with the DEVIL they know whilst this DEVIL just abuses their Constitutiuon and even their own party platforms !! I suggest going to http://www.heartquake08.com
and BELIEVE in a HEARTQUAKE and vote with your HEART !

Chuck Baldwin was the best candidate while he stayed, but I really liked Charles Jay and Johnathon Allen, too, and I voted for Jay since I got to hear more from him.

Charles Jay was the man. It's annoying that Baldwin had won the debate before it was even over and even moreso that he left the debate halfway through.

Now all Charles needs is a better web site :)

2008-10-09 22:33:07 ET

I was impressed with both Dr. Baldwin and Mr Jay overall. I am voting for Dr. Baldwin but I sure enjoyed learning about Charles Jay and the Boston Tea Party. Excellent!

This has to be without a doubt the best presidential debate I've ever heard. I love the format; the questions; the overall attitudes, cooperation, and camaraderie; the information, etc.

It's very unfortunate the major presidential candidates don't get asked many of these same questions.

As far as the question concerning the what they tell those who feel they're just "throwing their vote away" when voting a 3rd party candidate, I'd like to chime in by saying that:

1.) I remind those people that the Republican Party used to be a "3rd party" when the major parties used to be Democratic and the Whig Parties.

2.) I tell people that they're used to voting for either dirt or mud to eat for the next four years while there is always the option of prime rib on the table. And even when people are made aware that they could have steak if the majority of them voted for it, they feel that they're brethren won't vote that way and if they "throw away" their vote for steak, then they can't vote for the lesser of two evils concerning the dirt or mud. (all depending on which they ate for the last four years.) The take home point I try to convey to them is that no matter if they vote dirt or mud, that they're voting for the SAME thing they've had all their lives (as well as their parents and grandparents lives!).

Just as is in general voting Democrat or Republican is voting the SAME thing we've always had. The SAME general politics with the SAME problems / failures, and the SAME missed opportunities for our government to get back on the right track. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome from the previous one. Voting for either of the major parties fits into the category of insanity. No matter how you slice it, you're voting for the same system you've always known which isn't change at all. If you want change, if you're tired of eating dirt and mud while knowing you have the power to have volumes better, you must vote for a different party's presidential candidate. If you don't, you're just a part of the problem and you have no right to complain about our current situation.

That is some of what I tell those people that feel they're "throwing their vote away when voting for a 3rd party", and when presented in that way has helped bring into perspective the value of their vote.

And thanks for having this for all of us!

I think all candidates did very well. To me picking a winner for the debate only means im picking the person that I think most closely has my views. As for choosing a winner based on anything else, I vote a tie, because I believe all candidates articulately laid out their points and then talked about their underlying reasons for their positions.

I enjoyed the debate and I too am disappointed that McCain and Obama didn't show up to talk to the other candidates. I was really interested in how they would respond when there are real people, not just mass media talking heads or career politicians in the discussion. I'd like to hear what these two candidates would respond to actual questions from actual people, not just the leading questions of mass media moderators. Thanks to those candidates who did turn up to discuss what really matters to the people, and thanks to Revolution radio for hosting. Everyone who listened tonight spread the word to everyone who wants real change that there are more choices than the mass media presents. Power to the people!

I wish Chuck Baldwin could have stayed for the whole thing, but it's clear to me he is the most informed about what is really going on in our country, and unafraid to tackle the most important issues. My vote definitely goes to him. I feel he won the debate by a landslide.

2008-10-11 12:15:42 ET

This poll was opened before the debate even started. So it is bunk. Charles Jay won this debate. Chuck proved to be weak on Gay marriage, The war on drugs, and personal liberties. If you live in a state where you can vote for Charles Jay, check him out. He is the real alternative for Libertarians and Ron Paul supporters. Before you go voting for Chuck check out this report I wrote on his positions and the Constitution Party's platform. http://databird.com/political/vtv-constitutionparty.html
