How do you feel about hunting and killing Alaskan moose?

You should have shown the pictures of the animals that starve to death where hunting is not allowed (national parks). Your right to be vegetarian, mine to enjoy healthier meat.

Given a better choice of wording, I would have selected neither "aweful," nor "great," but I have no objection to hunting meat. Hunting game is a much better way to get meat than from the supermarket, where most of it comes via animals raised in ways that make death the most humane thing that ever happened to them. Hunted animals had lives, and we are omnivores.

I respect a vegetarian or vegan choice, and I do not believe in hunting/fishing for pure sport (and then not using the animal for food), but unless we are willing to give up modern medicine as well as meat, leather, and pets (who are so domesticated at this point, they would not survive without us), we are still living at the expense of the lives of other creatures.

For the record, I am no Palin fan and do not plan to vote Repulbican.

I hate to tell the Anti-Hunters that humans have been hunter/gathers since the beginning of time! (God intended it that way) Hunting is part of the natural order of things, as part of nature's evolution things live and others kill to survive. Humans are no different than a bear, lion or tiger " We kill an animal and we eat it to live "
I am a hunter and proud to say so!!! You freaking tree huggers out there can't see the forest thru the trees! It is when humans’ start messing around with the natural order of things is when humans screw it up!!!
Hunting needs to be regulated like anything else, if not humans will upset the balance of nature only because as an "animal" humans have been the most successful in nature. Humans have over populated the earth and Mother Nature cannot sustain our numbers with out our intervention. IE…. “MANAGEMENT of our natural resources”
But to stop all hunting would in fact upset the balance of nature no different than if we allowed any species to go extinct! Extinction of any species upsets the natural order in any given eco system.
One of our responsibilities is to manage our selves and not to allow natures balance to become unbalanced. Thus allowing an animal to starve to death or die a long painful death due to sickness because of the over population of a given area to support their numbers. Hunting is one tool in the drawer to manage populations of wild game, and for some of us it a natural way of putting food on our families table.
I for one am tired of you Anti Hunting, Tree Hugging SOB’s telling me how to raise my family and live my life!!! I don’t tell you how to raise your family and live your life!!! If you do not want to go out and hunt for some of your food or you want to worship a head of lettuce, it makes no damn difference to me, because I just don’t care what the heck you do!
Just give me the same respect that I give to you and let me be me and do what I think is right for my family. Responsible Hunting is the way I was raised and the way I am raising my children. If you have a different choise for you an yours that is fine by me, But don't inpose your life on mine.

Totally agree with you guys, hunting is a personal choice. Its also a great way to see the outdoors and get excerisize. Eat all veggies if you want, but I'll take wild game meat, thank you.
