Like many government programs, this was well-intended, but not well thought out. It is another example of government throwing money at a problem to present the appearance something is being done, rather than providing real leadership and solutions. As current economic conditions prove, it did nothing to stop the free-fall of the stock market or, more importantly, to bolster consumer and investor confidence.

The government and we taxpayers had no choice but to implement the bailout. But we should take the necessary to insure two things, that this money is recovered with a profit, not just the government saying hat the economy was kickstarted; and two, that controls are put in place with criminal penalties, forfeiture of salaries and bonuses of executives and penalties and forefiture of corporate profits. We can't let greedy business people wreak havic on not only our domestic economy, but the world economy as well.

We have before us, here in the United States, a possible change that will alter America as never seen before. The change from a basic democratic society to a socialist state. Barack Hussein Obama represents an extremely dangerous form of change. I honestly believe that if a majority of his supporters were to research his background they would change their minds very quickly.

Who ever thought for a minute that a Senator never mind a candidate for president would have subversive associates. Obama's ties to Rev. Wright who, as he has stated, is his mentor and preaches the words "God Damn America" shouldn't this be enough to see where his alligence stands. Obama's ties to Louis Farakhan who is a radical Muslim should awaken America to the ever present danger of Muslim hatred for The American way of life. Further his ties to a domestic terrorist should open everyones eyes to what we can look forward to.

The bailout will be the least of Americas concerns if this dangerous man is elected. We might not have liked a republican or democrat in the past but they still had America in their hearts. To ever allow this individual to become Commander in Chief of This Great Nation is and will be an American Tragedy, a wound that could be fatal to the corner stone of our democracy.

Why aren't there any statesmen(women) in this country? All we get are the junk running this country. In Minnesota we have Coleman and Franken. Coleman has some experience but haven't seen him working for Minnesota, and Franken, who hasnt even lived in the state for 36 years and hasnt done a thing towards Minnesota life or any type of community service of any kind. Guess the old saying goes "If the wise fail to rule they will be ruled by the unwise." Go Barkley

Why hasn't the CEO's of the failing Corp. and Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac being charged with misappropriation of funds, and a host of other charges. If middle America committed such crimes we would never see the light of day again. It seems as if our elected officials are more afraid of the ceos than they are angry voters, the people they were elcted to serve. I suggest we vote all imcumbents out. Start with a whole new Congress, new Senators, New Reps. Let's have a clean slate.

"We the People" own this nation. We are behaving as cowards. Should we sit back and do nothing, or are you ready to fight and protect our nation. Our vote is the most powerful weapon we have. Every encumbant regardless of party affiliation has got to go. The corruption in our government is so bad we must do this until our representatives in congress and the senate get the message. "We the People" are upset and will no longer tolerate our reprentatives to tip toe through to tulips and continue to pretend they have our interest at heart.

Government caused the problem, by thinking that everyone should own a home
