This poll is obviously being proxy vote spammed. Several of the "See this poll in action" urls have been proxy sites. Furthermore, PopGist has gotten almost 500 votes in 3 hours and it had barely any votes for the last 4 days.
Kallout is a nice non-intrusive application. If you rely heavily on search it will help you save time.
There is NO WAY POPGIST is getting real votes. They've figured out someway through a script to rig this contest. 500 votes in 3 hours is crazy. I've checked out the technologies and made my vote honestly and encouraged my friends to check out the technology and vote appropriately. If you award POPGIST the winner, I'll never vote on this system again - because what is the point when it can be rigged.
Nonsense accusation. When you visit PopGist (http://www.popgist.com/), you can see we put Yahoo Boss Mashable Challenge logo on our site in every page and encourage users to vote. Considering the traffic PopGist has, this is reasonable percentage of our users to vote. We encourage every site to do this, this helps Mashable, Yahoo Boss and your own site.
PopGist is NOT getting real votes. I developed a hack and it is possible to proxy spam vote a PollDaddy poll. When I was checking a list of about 1,000 proxy IPs about 75% of the IPs had already voted. It's obvious this poll is fraudulent. But Mashable isn't doing anything about it.
For me, the Kallout is very good. I do not know the PopGist and will not be because the majority is chosen as the best. A thousand apologies for my bad English.
I am using kallout extensively since a month and I am very comfortable with its search quality.
What's all the fuss? Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this squabble about votes for a $2000 prize?
oops......wrong link above...! if you're all fussing over $2000, I'm gonna say there's a bunch of whiney babies out there. But, I haven't really figured this thing so just let me know. Yell at me if you want. I'm a big girl. I can take it.....or agree and vote for Kim!
Whatever, everyone does what they can to win these polls. It's good press. Lee, the CEO of KallOut, has been reaching out to all his social media contacts (including me) and asking them to promote KallOut. Everyone's guilty.
I think Kallout is really cool. Lee has been reaching out to his network to tryout Kallout and vote, which is very fair because we vote only because we think Kallout is cool. In face we all have the choice of checking out all the apps listed here even inspite of how we landed in this poll page. I am sure polldaddy will weed out any automated voting (rigging) if it exists.
I am also voting for Kallout, love it and hope to see it added on facebood always.
