I was out in Calif. for a couple of weeks recently visiting my mom. She didn't have cable TV. The airports were showing CNN and the hotel was showing CNN. I didn't hear one good word about a Republican for those two weeks. I felt like I had been brainwashed by the time I came home and finally got to see FOX again. Most of us do not have the inside information about the statements that both Gov. Palin and Sen. Biden quoted. We do not have time to research their statements and we surely can not trust most of the media to give us the truth. Why cain't they give specifics? I have not heard any real platform from either presidental candidate, just a bunch of general statements. I did watch the video of Sen. Obama saying, "air-raiding villages & killing civilians".
It is sad that those leaving positve comments about Gov. Palin's performance may actually believe them. She was clearly prepped and did not answer the questions. You all need to re-watch the debate but this time pay careful attention to her non answers and lack of knowledge. Any of you would have been able to give that performance. The media has nothing to do with her NOT KNOWING general answers or being able to articulate a sentence or to just "simply" make sense. Her being appointed by McCain says a lot about his decision making. None of you want to admit it and neither does he but should have taken his decision a little more seriously. Re the liberally biased press - disgusting at first blush but nauseating when looked at square-on. What disturbs me most about this is that I have not been able to 'get my arms around' the WHY? Why this leftist, socialist tilt? Why such an obvious bias towards a direction so heavily grounded in senses of entitlement, so 'anti' towards our time honored sense of personal responsibility, freedom coming for hard ethical and economic choices to be made, and consequences to be borne? How did we get to this point, and just as importantly, how do we get away from it? I feel that if we do not, we will eventually go down in history as just another experiment in supposed self governance which ultimately failed.

I haven't watched MSM since I discovered Fox. In the Charlie Gibson interview, he looked down his nose at her, no facial expression at all. The same could be said of the close-ups of Katie Couric when she was interviewing Gov. Palin. The MSM is so deep in the Democratic Party's pocket, in their fawning over Sen. Obama, that it is sickening. They have thrown journalistic ethics out the window. This is evident in their lack of presenting the truth, like when Sen. Obama or Sen. Biden is caught in a lie, AND, there have plenty of them. There has been no outrage of Sen. Obama's connection with ACORN, which is under investigation in several states. You know a person by the people they associate with, over a long period of time, like Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, and Tony Rezko for starters. If you hang around with a pack of dogs, sooner or later you're gonna get fleas! Thirty years ago, we would not have seen the unbiased reporting that we've seen running so rampant over the past 20 years. I cannot remember a time when the media took such a one-sided position during Presidential elections. The Republican candidates are getting hammered every time they are interviewed, with the exception of only one FOX network. Charlie Gibson and Katie were so rude to Palin that I think viewers should boycott their shows (oh wait, no one watches CBS already). Sarah is one tough gal, and I hope for all our sakes that the Republican ticket pulls it off on election day.

Palin will be bringing in fresh new and exiting ideas into this new administration. Everyone knows we need to cut spending, but no one wants to be the one to do it because they (Obama group) can't stand up to the special-interest groups. Government gets bigger, but the leadership isn't there. The leaders of the country (Senate and House) are really the ultimate followers. They check the polls on a daily basis, then make dicisions based on what they think will increase their (Obama campaign) popularity, rathen than on what is needed and what is right. We can't cut welfare because that will make it look like we don't care about the poor. We can cut Social Sec. because that will mek it look lie we don't care about the elderly. We can't cut funding to any of the states cause that may cost us key votes in those parts of the country. But we can't increase taxes because every politician who runs for office, promise to not raise taxes. So what do we do? Who knows? no one wants to step up and show leadership except the McCain campaign. Anyone who would run on a platform of just doing the right thing (McCain campaign) would not have a chance because most of the people don't value doing the right thing. In large part, self-interest drives the economic and political reals, as it did in the old day, so there are few great leaders, just gutless bureaucrats.

It is SAD that journalists, etc. have stooped so low as to violate one of the most important freedoms we have under the Constitution that allows them to hold the jobs they do, our Freedom of Speech. No one seems to have realized how essential it is for us to judge, if we must judge at all, Palin on a level different from that of Biden. Considering her refreshing lack of experience, she was fabulous last evening. Biden has been speaking before the nation for decades and is completely polished and rehearsed in regard to what textbook answers he must provide. Palin, on the contrary, offers a very real, very heartfelt opinion that more solidly guarantees honesty and sincerity. Biden did an outstanding job last night because he has been very well rehearsed; rehearsed to say what Obama's advisers believe his possible future constituents want to hear, shying away from the concept of ethics more and more as November 4 draws near. Americans, for the most part, have been spell-bound by Obama and Biden's pleasing-to-the-ears, yet empty promises; ignorance is not bliss. The American people should embrace Sara Palin for the same reason that she is being criticized by the media; she encompasses everything opposite of Washington.
Sarah is cute, she's smart, she's a great multi-tasker, her husband is a looker, she has a beautiful family, she's accomplished and a patriot...and the Democrats are mad that McCain beat them to the punch in choosing a woman for the role of VP. If not for fox the people would know nothing about rev. wright, Ayers, Rezko, acorn, etc. Cnn spent more time talking about Palins pregnant daughter than they did on all of obama's shady dealings. Totally unacceptable. For those of you boycotting the liberal media, i'd encourage you to carry that boycot up to the next election in 4 years. That's the only way they'll really get the message. How can people question her qualications for Vice President when you have a Presidential Canditate with much less experience. If the media is honest and tells viewers the TRUTH, the WHOLE TRUTH, and NOTHING BUT the TRUTH, about all canditates, both V.P. and President, this country will make the right choice come election time.
The Governor was outstanding. She showed their critiques, she know her stuff. Biden even play a real trick when he mentioned his wife tragic death and he was left with the kids to take care of them. It seems he wanted more attention, since he was horrible with all the lies he said during the debate. I could not stand the smirk on his face. He acted like he was real superior , but the only thing he did was make a fool of himself. He was directing all the answer to the moderator, not to the audience. Palin was always talking to the people and letting them know that she care for them and that she will really change Washington attitude if they are elected, same way she change her State for the people. I think the media are correct in pressing her for her knowledge. I had to answer all those questions concerning Judicial rulings, Gov't branches and powers, political doctrines, etc. in order to receive my BA in International Relations. To argue that a possible VP shouldn't have to answer correctly any of these questions is to hold her to a lower standard than a 23 year old college grad.

I even seen today where she is being criticized by Obama's website for attending a $1,000.00 a plate fundraiser and encouraged their readers to protest in the streets, when Mr. Biden came to my hometown Louisville, KY where the majority of the population is middle class the two major companies here are GE and FORD at least for now and held a fundraiser at The brand new Marriot Hotel, where they charged $28,500.00 per couple to have dinner and get a photo with Mr. Biden. IF he is so working class joe, middle man how does he expect those very people to come and hear his speech and message when they would have to pay almost a years salary to do so. Is that what they call being a hypocrite? And for those who think Ms. Palin cannot string two sentences together, how do you think she did last night?
This bias is so obvious. They dig and repeat anything on Palin but neglect Obama and his past. They need to be more thorough on everyone equally.
Most of the media hosts and or commentators do seem very snobbish or condescending toward Gov. Palin. However, FOX news hosts seem to act more favorable toward her. But then I often noticed the hosts ask the same questions to whomever they interview about Gov. Palin as if they are looking for a negative reply from someone. And that is exactly what they are trying to do in a low profile way. I've noticed that even Greta has done that as if she is not satisfied with ALL the positive responses that she has already heard. Absolutely! It's more than being snobbish. It's downright disgusting and rude to treat her the way that they are. Elite media groups have tried again and again to make her out to be a brainless idiot, or better yet, a token candidate. It's ridiculous! She is down-to-earth, as real a person as you can get. This is why she is having such an impact with Americans. None of the BS that you get with career politicians. Just plain straight talk. FINALLY, a real candidate that truly understands real people with real problems and has the REAL SOLUTIONS.
