Which statement best represents your views on Republican vice president candidate Sarah Palin?

I like her, and I am more likely to vote for McCain because of her

I like McCain, but she’s damaging his chances of winning

A good choice and a breakthrough for women

She’s joke, and doesn’t belong anywhere near the White House

Not sure about Palin, but Tina Fey is fantastic

To Whom it May Concern (but obviously not) The very fact that Americans are giving and showing support to McCain & Palin is proof positive that this country is moving in the wrong direction. For the last eight years there have been blunders and monumental mistakes made that have cost thousands of lives here at home and abroad. But, this administration has not been held accountable nor have they even apologized for the damage they have done. The economy is in a nose dive that $700 billion dollars could not buy its way out of. Millions are homeless and without medical insurance, and yet McCain & Pailn have the audacity to tell me and the rest of America, 'the fundamentals of the American economy are strong'. Yes, the American worker will work and work hard, but if they are injured on the job or get sick, chances are they will not have sufficient medical coverage, or any at all due to the staggering high cost of coverage. That should be unacceptable in the wealthiest and seemingly most progressive country in the world. Sarah Palin wants you to believe that she has the experience necessary to become Vice President or even President. That is the absolutely insane! I do not care about her religous beliefs, she is entitled to them. I do not care about her stance on Global Warming and the environment, the world is going to either decide to make the changes they need to, or it will be the demise of us all. What I do care about is the fact that Sarah Palin has fooled a lot of people into believing that she is qualified. Just because I have been to England does not make me qualified to be an Ambassodor to that country for the United States. The fact that I have watched, played and coached baseball my entire life does not qualify me to be the head coach or general manager of a prefossional baseball team. Maybe the Royals? The fact of the matter is by associating yourself with greatness does not make you great. John McCain is terrifying and he will definately continue the policies of the George W. Bush admininstration. True, the United States can not turn the other cheek or a blind eye to the evident threat that is posed by extermist, however we can not give the power and not question it. It is our constitutional right and responsibility to question that power. Authority in the form of government should be respected, but we as Americans should not be in awe of it. John McCain & Sarah Palin want you to believe that you are in danger and that you should only be concerned of your safety. Well that approach works very well in North Korea. They are very safe from 'outsiders', but they are dying of hunger while those in power feast on greed. I do not know if Barrack Obama is the right answer, but he certainly seems to have a plan to shift directions for this country. It is time to consider all of the alternatives rather than the hard line approach. I do not hear any change when I hear McCain or Palin speak, only lies and propoganda. The American people deserve better than that. Rather than spending a trillion dollars bailing out bad business practices conducted by those on Wall Street and in the corporate boardroom, invest that money into American infrastructure that is in dire straits; healthcare, education, maybe levies that actually hold back water. I am not a politician, but if more of them thought of their community, the country they live in and the people they were elected to serve rather than themselves, we may actually make progress. Geniune concern for the welfare, rights and liberties of all Americans and those that dream of becoming an American should be top priority in Washington D.C.. Virtue should be preferred over gold.
