I saw the debate, and I was a bit worried about Palin going against a heavily seasoned debator in Biden. And I was amazingly surprised that Palin did so well!
I think Biden was getting a little frustrated at points in there, and Palin was really holding her own and came out with some comedic jabs that made me laugh. Palin won this tough debate.
I quit watching baseball and football to catch the debate. Palin was on, Biden looked mean at times with the fake smile, fake laugh, and she clearly got under his skin. No doubt, Palin rocked the house.
I am Joe, and I am going to say "It is so"... Sarah won the debate last night and has given McCain another chance to SPEAK UP!! John McCain has been afforded so many opportunities to make his views and winning issues clear... but never takes them! I can actually say seriously that Palin is a 100% better communicator than all the other participants. She does not come off as arrogant and elitist as Obama does, She does not come off as a piece of dead wood as McCain does.... I actually think that it should have been a Romney/Palin ticket... I said yesterday that Palin NEEDS to improve... I am wrong, It is McCain that needs to improve.
Gov Palin won hands down. If McCain doesn't get elected, guess who will be the
Republican representative in 2012!!!!!!
You have to kidding!!! Palin was nothing more then a comic last night, are you serious about having this women run our country. She is clueless on the real issues!! A joke, that's what i saw last night.
It was refreshing to view both candidates unfiltered. What a different view than the pundits present. The sound bite method of creating truth troubles me. I am often curious who gets to be interview to present polls that often do not correctly reflect how I am viewing issues?
While clear I am careful to seek truth before I finalize my own paradigms, I fear that too many are distracted and do not want to work at finding content that might differ from what they see in the news.
I made a statement before the debate last night. Gov. Palin was going to surprise a lot of people. She did that and more last night. I am confident now that she is in fact qualified and ready to be advanced to this most important position in our elected government.
while is may be considered by some that the vice-president debate does not matter..it does to me.
Governor Palin was unbelievable. With the moderator controversy and the campaign so close, Palin handled the pressure with ease. She is excellent when she is speaking directly to the public. She was great delineating McCain’s positions. Biden looked a bit stiff and monotone, but held his own. Sarah Palin a clear winner hands down.
Sarah Palin showed us last night that she is "America". She is not your Washington Insider. She put things in "real" speak. Sure she had her talking points, because she is still a politician. Right now the only thing John McCain has going for him IS SARAH PALIN.
Joe Biden had his moments too, but the night was Sarah's.
Get serious Palin is a joke! I could not tell if I was watching SLN or a serious debate. Wake up she is a hillbilly Al Sharpton.
Palin work hard by the lake this week. She was not impressed. I would have like to see her answer her questions instead of challenging biden on his. who picks and choice which question to answer. biden spoke to me and inforced is position of progress and change. Biden was declared the winner hands down.
1. Biden said .. "NO MORE coal plants! HELL NO" were the exact words he used. He said it
and then he said he didnt. HE LIED
2 Obama Said he would meet with Terrorist and or Rogue nations Leaders without
Precondition.. Biden said he never said that.. Biden Lied.
3. Biden lied when he said that McCain supports a 4 billion dollar tax cut for Oil companies.
Fact; McCain supports Tax cuts for all Corporations but has never singled out a single indrustry
..
4. Biden said he didnt vote for the War in Iraq….it was a vote for the WAR.. nothing else..
Biden Lied..
5. Biden and Obama Both Voted to Increase the Taxes on tax payers making 42,000 dollars..
Both Voted to raise Taxes.. Biden Lied when he said they did not!
BIDEN LIED and caught with proof and fact!
~Palin was the clear victor in this debate! Go McCain~Palin! and God Bless America!
bet SNL will do their Palin skit around Biden crying
Palin's answer were totally from a script she memorized. If the question was not on her script, she changed the question. She should probably learn the name of the General in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Biden was knowledgeable, truthful, cited examples, much better performance.
However, Palin gave it all she has, which is pretty obvious, not much.
Hi, Guys I feel the the debate was a draw. But would give Palin an edge for being in touch with main stream america. Biden sounded just like he said a POLITICIAN. The general populace is sick and tired of politicians so what wrong with someone who connects with us.
Governor Palin was truly believable - she is a breath of fresh air - Judge you are so wrong, she is not shallow. I'm amazed at the disrespect in the media for our leaders - you included!
I think Palin has what Reagan had - Strong personal values and an ability to communicate and connect well with middle America. As long as she's surrounded by intelligent advisors (who can know ALL the ins and outs of running the US these days?) she'll be fine.
And was it just me? Or did Biden look like the Emperor from Star Wars? All he needed was a hooded cloak.
Judge what you believe is lack of knowledge, is what us folks in the midwest is just honest talk. We understand that fancy words that the Washington insiders use is BS. You are showing your lack of understanding of how to contect to use tax payers. You are right on bail out. But very wrong.
I felt that this debate has pushed me toward McCain/Palin not just because of Palin winning the debate because well if we have been watching the race closely we knew all of these topics and the answers already. We have a feel for where the two parties are going to take this Country. It was for me what Biden himself told us. He said that Obama wanted him in the position as if you will his right hand man. He wants Biden by his side in every situation that comes up. And he wants Biden to give him the answers. Now some will say no he wants him to discuss these issues that might come up but my feel for this race now is that Obama is not confident enough to be president. He needs to rely on Bidens experience more than his own. Obama is not ready in my mind to be president. And I did see him with my own eyes say he would meet with the evil leaders of this world and just sit down with them and that made me really think twice about him. And also I've learned he has been allowing his people to bus or taxi some of these poor people pulling them out of soup kitchens and danggleing a climps of goodwill in taking them anywhere they want to go after they vote for Obama of course. That is taking advantage of the poor people. I mean after they drop them off to their destination then what. Do they really care where they are off to? I don't think so. And are they explained to Obama's plan the full plan not just what these people will understand. They need help not to be taken advantage of. I mean before this election did any of Obama's people visit these places like soup kitchens and sit down and talk and spend time with these people? Well maybe Mccain's did not either but they did not go out when it would help them and only when it would help them. They will help these people when they are elected for sure. But I have my doubts about Obama on that one. so that swayed me toward MCcain and Palin also. And I'm glad she was upfront and honest about her only being around in this areana for 5 weeks. She is fun, she is strong, she lifts peoples spirits and she is not all doom and gloom she will tell you what is wrong and she will tell you that it can change to good. All I've heard from the other side is things like there is still hope. Well that's nice but hope don't make it happen action makes it happen. People have been hoping for way to long without seeing any good come from it. And I believe in my heart and mind that Mccain/Palin ticket is the one to see a good change come to all Americans where ever they may be weather it is in some soup kitchen, the ghetto, or where the stars live in hollywood. This country will see a great change for the good of mankind and we will see that Americans can be nice and kind and tolerant to each other once again.
Kathy
P.S. and as you might see I am not a great speller so I hope the media don't pick this apart like they do every little itty bitty thing that's not a liberal view. My veiw is my own and it is one of my freedoms so screw you media. It's time for some real truth to come back to journalism. I for one wont buy nor read for free any of your so called journalism because it is not all the facts. It's chosen words. It's mostly cherry picked phrases twisted into what you so called elite journalist call fact. I'd rather read the funnies because these days they make more sense then the columes written. So lets get it together folks in the media and put down the impliments of distruction and stop the witch hunt and start to write some valid journalism. Get back to basics and try, just try to be fair and maybe you will see America come together again.
Palin showed the country what she knows just like she should. She answered the questions "Just like she wants to answer them". Joe Biden was speaking just like a politican lying about the truth and trying to make the lie the truth. All I have to say is use the freedom of information act, look at the senate records look at the house records.
Palin won the debate. The debated showed that Palin is change and Biden is the same old politician that has handicaped our country and put us in the position our country is in today. We need change and Biden showed that neither he nor Obama with their policies will be change that will move our country forward.
What a breath of fresh air. Sarah Palin is a real person who knows how to communicate with middle-class America. You can see she has a heart for this great country and I have no doubt she would be a great asset in Washington!
I only hope we get the chance to see her in action as VP.
Biden has a lot of knowlege but he is part of the problem in Washington and showed that with his lies during the debate. He need some new and Palin gives us that. Also she won the debate by an easy margin.
Palin gives me hope for the government. She appeals to the average person, she honestly cares about the well-being of our nations people and she is not sitting there and repeating things like a parrot like Obama and Biden are. People are picking on Palin because they are scared of her. McCain made a great decision when picking Palin and the democrats are picking at petty little things because they really can't find anything wrong with her. While listening to Fox News Radio, I heard one many say that watching Palin during the debate was "like watching a beauty queen on stage." What's wrong with a beauty queen? Was that suppose to be an insult? Beauty queens are just as capable of being a Vice President as some old stuffy guy, so I don't see how what she looks like is relevant. McCain and Palin are awesome and I cannot wait for them to take their rightful place in the White House! VOTE McCain/Palin 2008!!
I'm offended at those that intimate that Governor Palin is only an inch deep/can't understand or articulate the issues because she's part of mainstream America. The American people, as a whole, are an intelligent bunch! I'm tired of the politically elite determining my future. I WANT someone that has walked my walk in Washington to bring MY concerns to the forefront. Sarah Palin is exactly what I've been looking for in a leader and I will forever thank John McCain for bringing her to the forefront of American politics!
As for not acting "presidential"? I think all those with that accusation should look back in history at some of our most influential and successful Presidents - many of whom has not fit that modern definition of "presidential." Examples? Teddy Roosevelt and Harry Truman. Both were considered "every man" and did quite well running our government.
Biden has a lot of knowlege but he is part of the problem in Washington and showed that with his lies during the debate. He need some new and Palin gives us that. Also she won the debate by an easy margin.
Biden hit his marks and demonstrated that he understands the issues facing the USA and the World. And he demonstrated that he is qualified to be VP and a National Leader.
Whereas, Palin did better than expected. She did demonstrate that she is a quick study for learning talking points. And she demonstrated that she does not understand the major issues facing the USA and the World. She is no National Leader.
Palin rocked!! She shocked us all! I believe that we will ALL blown away if she becomes the next VP. GO MCAIN-PALIN!!!!
There were no expectations of Palin except she wouldn't show up drooling, she just needed to complete a coherent sentence. Who among us didn't think she was reciting elements of foreign policy talking points she'd be spoon fed. I wish Sen. Biden would have broken the debate format and asked her if she's finished her recital performance. She also had the only gaffe of the evening completing two sentences to finally say, yes she agreed with Biden on something. She is NOT ready!
Anyone expecting Sarah Palin to have more knowledge than Joe Biden is being unrealistic. He is a career senator, having been in politics since she was in the 2nd grade. The fact that she could hold her own against his vast experience shows she has what it takes. I don't want a career politician. It is the reason we are in the mess we find ourselves in now. She has proven she can reform looking at her record in Alaska. She has more of a track record than the top of the Obama/Biden ticket. She showed she can hang with the big boys and really came across as someone who will fight for average Americans. I was very proud of her performance. She and McCain have my vote.
Palin was so rehearsed. She kept switching the topic. She tried to use a condescending tone of voice to talk get under Biden's skin. Gov. Palin ONLY knew the material she practiced. It was more like, "Alex Trebek, what is the surge?"
I am very disappointed that many just don't see through this. People should identify with the leaders, of course. However, does not seem knowledgeable or prepared to lead the NATION.
I would be scared to live in a world where Gov. Palin was president--we might as have four more years of George Bush is seemed just as ignorant.
Governor PALIN definitely represents the true heartbeat of working class America. We're tired of people who have been under the dome so long that they have grown out of touch with how people really feel about issues.
I thought Palin was more genuine. Biden threw out too many numbers. I hate that during a debate. No one knows if that info is legit or not. Many people take that info and run with it without ever knowing if it is accurate or not. After the debate one commentator stated Biden was wrong 11 times with the facts he threw out.
I don't want to be dazzled by someone, I just want the truth and to know that my best interests are being considered in their platform. McCain convinces me that he will do what it takes to get changes through the system and Obama seems more like a slick willie, telling people what they want to hear and then after elected will be business as usual.
Defense, immigration, wall street criminals and CEO's being paid millions while it all crumbles down around the average american citizen. The consequesnces are not severe enough for the actions of these people.
To me Sarah Palin won because she connected with the average American such as myself. I thought Joe Biden was very knowledgable, and when he spoke of the fear of losing a child it was very moving, but that was the only connection I felt with him. With Sarah, it was like I was listening to a sister or friend speak. She has only been doing this for five weeks, so she won't have the breadth of knowledge that Biden has, but she is no dim bulb. She was real, and that is what I love about her!!!
I was concerned with the moderator but I believe she did her job. Joe Biden appeared to have had the upper hand because he could spew out facts. Well say it isn't so Joe Your facts were incorrect. Joe was mad and Sarah got under his skin. Joe time after time had heavy sighs and appeared angry. I was very impressed with Sarah
I agree. I don't understand how people can conclude that Palin was anything but a joke last night. ANYBODY, could go into a debate and recite memorized talking points....I don't see why this isn't more obvious to people. I'm exhausted at Politicians who don't answer questions, who feed me 'Rah Rah' bunk about how we 'need to get out of debt', 'gain energy independence', etc without actually providing ideas for doing so. It's the 'Can't we all just get along' strategy borrowed from Rodney King. She really doesn't know anything....how can that not disturb you?
I think Sarah Palin was the obvious winner of this debate. She may have left some words out here or there because she was in a hurry to get her message out in the time provided, but Biden seems to make up so called facts that are untrue. If Biden would not have made up untrue statements like "John McCain voted the same way" her points would have really made more of an impact. Biden's strategy seems to be say anything to win and worrie about it later.
WOW! She talks like the "average Joe". We are so, so tired of the Washington politics. She can change things. Washington can be forced to change!! She and McCain are the only hope of making Washington insiders/politician work for the money we pay them. Biden & Obama are too entrenched in the "old way".
Sarah made Jumpin' Joe SixPack blow it again. She won the contest, hands down.
Sen. Biden claims to be brighter than most; in fact, his uncanny ability to make idiotic gaffes virtually every time he appears in public, suggests otherwise. I mean, a 32-year veteran of the Senate, not knowing that the executive branch is covered in Article TWO of the US Constitution, not Article I? Come on, Judge; if Palin had made that gaffe, you'd declare the race over, and banish Sarah back to Wasilla!
Even more telling was the fact that Joe didn't even know the constitutional authority of the office he's running for! READ Article II, for God's sake; the VP presides over the US Senate AT ALL TIMES, not just to cast tie-breaker votes, as Joe argued so vehemently.
He was flustered, angry, and obviously confused. John McCain is a centrist wimp, but he picked a phenomenal conservative running mate. She's pulled his chestnuts out of the fire...again.
Sara Palin is a woman of moral virtue, charm, dignity, class, intellegence, and perseverence. This is why a radical street criminal like Barack Obama and the democrats hate her. She stands for life, they stand for mudering the unborn and every sick, degenerate, perverted, disgusting thing man can devise. Lying, and deceiving, are all part of their reprobate hearts and minds. Just imagine the thought of the Rev Al Sharpton, Jeremiah Wright, Jessie Jackson, Louis Farrakan, Maxinne Waters all the rest of the radical left wing trash sitting in the Oval office. Whatever furniture and historic artifacts the Clintons didn't steal, this bunch will. We are in a lot of trouble if this guy gets elected!
I LISTENED TO THE DEBATE ON SIRIUS..I THOUGHT BIDEN WON THE THE DEBATE BUT HE TRIED TO ANSWER THE QUESTIONS POSED... WHEN PALIN DIDN'T KNOW SOMETHING SHE ALWAYS WENT BACK TO A TOPIC SHE KNEW(ENERGY). I WAS SO TRIED HEARING ABOUT ENERGY. I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR WHAT EACH PARTY WILL DO FOR ME...IT SOUND LIKE JOHN MCCAIN DOES NOT HAVE A PLAN FOR THE MIDDLE OR LOWER CLASS..
I decided to watch the debate open minded and dismiss all the flack and bashing the candidates have received over the past few days. We've all known Joe Biden from his 35 years in public service but Palin, being the newcomer and "protected" from the media for the most part, was under the microscope. To me she presented herself as being knowledgable and very well spoken. She tripped up a couple of times but I was pleasantly surprised by her direct and candid approach. She represents a fresh outlook that is much needed in our stagnant political arena.
Biden missed yet another opportunity to answer the question asked of Obama at the last debate about what he will cut out of his spending plans to meet the current financial crisis. Biden did the same as Obama and listed everything they CANNOT cut. How do they expect to fund all of these projects?
Palin brought it home again that McCain and she will slash big government spending. She also clearly explained McCain's Healthcare tax credit and plan to help Americans afford their own Medical Insurance, and to be able to shop for the best prices. I STILL have yet to hear what Obama's plan is, except that it will be government run!
Biden is wrong that this financial debacle with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac is the fault of the Bush administration and the Republicans. It is the Dems that started this push in the 90's and the lobbyists and special interests pushed the banks to give these loans to people who could not afford them. AND, the Dems have received the most $$$ from those same lobbyists for their efforts -with Obama receiving the second highest amount!
I like Biden, and ftr, I am from Delaware. We are proud of his accomplishments for our State, and incredibly proud of the fact that he truly is a genuine, good man, and has very strong family values. He has our country's best interests at heart, BUT, I don't agree with his and Obama's position on what will help make this country strong and respected once again.
McCain - Palin!
Palin exploded expectations and seemed to really hold the reins of the entire debate, not allowing neither Biden nor the moderator to shake her. She missed the opportunity to skin Biden like a moose when he brought up the credit crisis being caused by Bush and the Republicans, but otherwise she was both reputable and refreshing at the same time.
Admittedly, she doesn't look like a slickly polished politician, but what Washington doesn't get is the average voter is not only tired of that double-talking suit, but also very resentful of that image considering the current state of our country and the events of the last two weeks.
Her realism and ability to fire bullseye shots over the bow at Biden are winners. She just needs to fire more and bigger shots and McCain has got to do the same.
My vote is: Who Cares? they are both stuffed shirts...VOTE THIRD PARTY
We found our "Ronald Reagan"!
Sarah Palin did a terrific job. She cleaned house. I really don't care, Judge, how you feel about her but she can do a "heck" of a lot better job then Biden by far. He could not even get out the word charateristic. He could not even talk to "me" he talked to the moderator mostly. Yes we are at war. We should be. We need to get rid of the evil. Plain and simple. Like it or not. She can do the job. If Obama gets in then we all might as well get ready for the end.
Everyone seems to question Sarah Palin's experience to be vice-president but the way I see it is that if you add all the "experience" presently in the House and Senate you would have over 400 years of political experience collectively and look at the mess we are in now? So, you tell me, just how important "experience" really is in this election? Joe Biden and Barrak Obama, and even John McCain represent everything that is "wrong" about Washington politics. They have over fifty years of experience between them and I doubt any of them will do anything to significantly change the way politics operate in Washington.
Say what you want about Sarah Palin, she represents the ideals expressed by every "average" American. She has a proven record of attacking the status-quo and shaking up the "good ole boy" politics that existed in Alaska and is deeply entrenched in Washington. Her most important asset is her ability to connect to and motivate average Americans to get involved in the political system. She demonstrates strong character which has been proven over and over again to be THE most important quality of a leader as demonstrated by the current crises in the American economy which is the result of the lack of character in Congress and the business world. There is an old saying, "knowledge without wisdom is dangerous". Sarah can surround herself, as does every politician with an army of knowledgeable advisers ( it has been reported that Obama has over 300) but the question is does she have the character and wisdom to make the right decision once presented with the knowledgeable information.
America has a choice in November. Do you really want change in Washington? After two years in control of both houses of Congress the Democrats have a lower approval rating than President Bush which is at a historical low himself.
Obama, Biden, and even McCain represent everything that the average American hates about politics and Sarah represents everything that Washington really needs. She has demonstrated great courage, more than most men I know and the real question is does America have the same courage?
ARE YOU KIDDING!!! "Palin exploded expectations and seemed to really hold the reins of the entire debate" if she did that for you guy's then your expectations are extremly LOW!!
Joe won on the points by maybe 55/45. But ,more importantly, Sarah won the hearts of the listeners. That ,not answers, will translate into votes in November. She also showed that she can learn at warp speed , is poised and after 4 years as Veep , she will be well qualified to be called"Madam President" in 2012.
She was great and I agree with others Biden came across as angry and just spewing facts. She was real and that is what people can relate to. I have to admit the one thing that bugs me and makes me scream at the television is when Biden & O'Bama keep blaming the Republicans for the financial crisis. The fact is the Democrats have their fingers all over this mess. For some reason Senator McCain has not made a strong enough case that he tried to bring greater over site to Fannie Mae/Mac and even wrote a letter predicting the disaster we are currently in. There is tape of Barney Frank and other democrats claiming there is nothing wrong with Fannie Mae/Mac back in 2004 in fact, they responded by saying in that meeting that this warning was nothing more than an "Attemted Lynching" of Franklin Raines who raped Faannie Mac/Mae. Are you kidding me? So when O'Bama & Biden make these outrages claims and take no responsibility for their participation in forcing Fannie Mae/Mac to make these bad loans I just wish Senator McCain and Gove Palin made a stronger case & informed the Amercian people of the truth. Only people who visit websites like Utube actually see this stuff.
Wow, how refreshing it is to see a non Washington politician. Look at what happened the past two weeks. Our congress is so divided that it is no wonder why America is in the situation it is in. Look at the Democrats who degrade our president every chance they get, and then they overwhelming in haste want to spend tax payers money to the tune of 700 billion when they didn't even know if the 3 page bill would work. I think after hearing what you guys just said about Bob Gates, that Obama wants to keep him on. Isn't that following the Bush Administration? Something else I heard in the debate last night. The old saying of a glass half empty or a glass half full, I think Joe Biden brought that up. I think Congress as a whole is the glass half empty along with Biden, who by the way has been in Congress longer than McCain. All Americans need to stand up like we did this week and become the glass that is half full.
Biden is arrogant. That arrogance is what got us where we are today! Sarah Palin is real and humble! Mukwonago Wisconsin (small town America) loves her!!!
She won the debate, I am glad American now knows she is not a blubbering idiot. She is an average Jane who may not know a lot, but she has a heart of gold. Thats what we need right now.
Face it guys Judge is right she aint really so smart. She did not answer questions she just did a stump speech.
As a small business owner I can't take much more on my back. How about Congress/the Senate/ and all government employees adhear to the same rules as the general polulation. Why do they say the Social Security System is good for us, but they don't want to participate in it. Government - BAIL YOURSELF OUT - GET OFF MY BACK.
Palin did AWESOME last night! She is NOT a typical politician and THANK GOD. She is so refreshing and really down to earth. McCain needs to get passionate in his next debate and quit being so polite!
WHO CARES! Both parties suck this year!! Why discuss Tax increase / decrease. Tax me the exact same as last year or the year before. Either way take every persons tax contribution and make it work better. Make the government work efficiently. Stop saying what the other party has done in the past. Tell us specifically how you will do things in the future. If you don't live up to it in the next four years you are gone! Let's stop letting these House Reps and Senators stay in DC for 20 years. They need a TERM!! Also, don't let these homeowners who bought what they could not afford off the hook! Specially these individuals that have multi houses for investment properties. They made a gamble and it didn't work.
I am supporting McCain / Palin, but Biden clearly won. Better prepared and a step ahead on counter points over and over. I happen to think Biden was lying through his teeth, but the ony way to win a debate with a liar is to paint him as such and she didn't do that very well.
While both candidates dodged certain questions to reinforce related issues, Senator Biden was much more direct and accurate in his responses. I take issue with stances on both tickets, but Joe Biden stood firm with facts and non-aggressive jabs. Governor Palin stuck some points in her own right, but her concentration on the "mama's home cookin" style of speech made my stomach turn. Her sweetness does not mask her ignorance and I am not impressed.
Sarah came across as a regular person and Joe came across as a USED CAR SALESMAN....! I'm at a total loss as to why McCain is not fighting back these claims of fault for this financial crisis. Where's the FIRE AND MAVERICK !
I loved Palin!! She's real and I can relate to her. I love the fact that she doesn't have the "Washington" terminology. I want someone in the White House that will go into a room of stuffing old men and start asking things like "Why are we spending money on wooden arrows?” I want a new fresh face that isn't polluted with the OLD ways. I think she did a fantastic job and she's put McCane back on top.
I was somewhat worried about Sarah Palin going up against Joe Biden given his extensive Senatorial experience, but she calmed those fears within the first few minutes. I think that she did a great job in the debate and has proven herself to the American people. But, more importantly, I didn't hear any of the Washington "doublespeak" from her that is so common from every politician these days. Joe Biden offered quite a bit of that language. I was also surprised to hear that Barack Obama has been involved in SO many policy initiatives and every important debate in the Senate since his first day on the job. Funny that none of these accomplishments were never mentioned prior to his nomination and that no evidence exists to substantiate all these claims of greatness. On a posistive note, Sarah Palin won this debate and I wish there were more VP debates so I could watch her do it again.
Judge, your elitist bias has been showing. You need to leave your silver tower and get to know the rest of America. We don't bite (too hard at least). Biden showed the ability to mangle the facts. Palin won domestically, Biden on foreign affairs. Overall, the night went to Palin. Your criticism of her folksy message instead of an Ivy League manor of speaking, constantly demeaning her reminds me of why Congress has such a low approval rating. Maybe we need to ban all graduates of Ivy League colleges from public office. We may not have the "book learning" that you value so greatly, but the common sense factor of our congress would improve greatly and maybe we wouldn't get in such messes again. Stop be elitist, Judge.
Sarah Palin won the debate, but it was close. After the debate I was switching to different stations. I was listening to Chris Matthews opine that Palin obviously received the questions prior to the debate and that her answers were carefully rehearsed. I have also read several comments in this thread that suggest the same. Amazing how if someone doesn't meet negative expectations the only answer can be that they cheated. Come on, admit it - Joe Biden is professional politician who should have been able to beat Sarah Palin easily but couldn't. "Drill, baby, drill"
Biden won this debate hands down...Yes, HANDS DOWN... Maybe if Gov. Palin would answer some of the questions directly without going back to her rehearsed coached script. The country wants to know exactly where she stands on issues other than her ALASKAN environmental strides... Yes environment is a good cause but there is much more a Vice President and potential President needs to focus on and answer questions about, none which she answered… (well coached) She states she speaking directly to the American people, and the American people is asking “Gov. Palin where do you stand on issues other that environment and Alaskan oil drilling” Give us more if you have it...
Social conservatives are not making clear decisions, Sara is scary! After Couric and last night Ron Paul gets the fiscal conservative vote, time to rebuild our Party. Last time we caved in you elected George W Bush.
Watch out libs... I'm converting 80+ year old Catholics to switch from their lifelong Dem party to McCain/Palin. I'm doing God's work one vote at a time! Yep I said GOD!!
Given the expectations of liberals and the fears of conservatives one would have to say Governor Palin won the debate. Joe Biden did what was expected. Sarah did not meet expectations. She exceeded them by such a margin that she is still the topic du jour.
Palin held her own. The fact that she went up against a seasoned senator and held her own is something to be said for. Everyone talks about Washington being broken and all the politicians Rep. and Dem. mostly talk like elitist. Palin is the first and only politician that I have heard in a long tome that is like the rest of us folk. Now that would be real change !!! As far a her not having enough experience only a govenor. Hello.... look at the last few presidents. Regan, Carter, Clinton... best I recall they were all only just govenors. Palin is a refreshing change in politics. She is the real change. If if the liberal drive by media were not so biased, they would see that she represents real change. After all isn't that what everybody wants. CHANGE!!!!!!!
I am astounded at the extreme differences between the polls from CNN and Fox News. I wonder about the authenticity of each networks polling base now.
I watched the debate and thought Biden won by a thin margin. I thought Sarah Palin did extremely well, but she was obviously not as polished as Biden. Unfortunately Biden's polish comes from his 35 years of service in Washington, something that puts Palin at a considerable disadvantage. I thought he gave a little more substance in his answers than Palin. Biden would go back and reiterate the points he tried to make; I think this played well in today's "age of relative truth" where something (no matter what the facts actually are) is repeated until it becomes true in everyone's mind.
Even though Palin did very well for someone with her short time in politics, Biden, I felt, had the upper hand in pushing his points across and making the audience believe him. I did like Palin's fresh point of view from not being an insider and I think we need a lot more of that in Washington. Even though Biden won in my mind I saw it as a success for the McCain campaign because she was able to hold her ground and not let Biden get away with some untruths. Let's see what McCain does to capitalize on that success and what Obama does to marginalize it.
MICHAEL D.
The reason the expectations were so low is because the mainstream media is still miffed about being left out of the McCain Veep decision. As a result, they made it their mission in life to edit this woman's every interview until they got clips that read exactly the way they wanted them to read.
Unfortunately for them, all they did with their focus on her tongue tripping is set up Superbowl-style promotion for the "Thursday night Sarah Show" bringing prime-time viewership to her likeable, down to earth style. If only NBC could do so well by their regular programming, GE might not be going down the tubes so rapidly.
BY THE WAY, MICHAEL....SPELLCHECK WOULD SERVE YOU WELL!
I say scrap Obama and McCain and say Sarah Palin for President!!! I would have to say she has more experience in her 1.5 years as governor than all 3 of those senators put together. There is a reason there has only been 2 senators elected to president in the history of our country. And the reason is they are all talk and no action. If Obama, Biden, or McCain wanted to do something to improve our country they are in the exact position to do so and none of these guys have "done" anything except talk about how good they are. Sarah Palin has done things and has accomplished real things not just debated about them.
SARAH PALIN '08
Wayne H - "I thought he gave a little more substance in his answers "
But many, many of his answers contained flat-out WRONG "facts"
It seems like America has descended to the point that any idiot could be President or VP. We need some intellect in the White House, McCain should have chosen Romney. Palin is not smart enough to give us the level of judgment needed from a back up and someone heartbeat way from the big chair. Ron Paul for me!
i've said it beforei get tired of obama and biden keep shoving down our throats the past 8 yrs. we have lived it and do not need to be reminded of it. they just can't think of the future. history teaches us lessons to be learned but we can't live in the past what about nov. 5th or jan 21st . i love this idea of energy which mcain and palin need to emphasize, we need oil "now" then work on alternitive energies which will take the time to do it right. but it's pretty funny that how many years have gone by for the talk of energy changes and nothing is done
We need leadership not cuteness and spunk. There is a vacuum here and John/Sara and Barry/Joe are not right for this occasion. We need Romney back.
Both parties need to show me more. Ultimately, it will be McCain and Obama that decide this election.
Bring back Romney.
mike you are right on. my argument is were is the power within our government. the president is a token of this country. the absolute power comes from congress. we all know what goes on there. it's sad though to think the corruption and greed and "what are you going to do for me" attitude has been around from the birth of our government so it easy to see why it is there. i know this is pesitmistic view but reallity is what it is.
Biden is a dumb ass wind bag. Someone in the obama campaingn should put a gag on that clown. Shawn in an earlier post here says "Govenor Sarah Palin is a joke and a hillbilly", he is so wrong on so many different levels, but what can you expect from a guy that frames his political impressions from a snl skit. Shawn you're an idiot!!
palin is very knowledgeable about so many things. why do so many think she just "memorized" things. Give a person credit for having some knowledge! she beat Biden because he kied at least 10 times in spouting his "knowledge".
Biden is a dumb ass wind bag. Someone in the obama campaingn should put a gag on that clown. Palin all the way! We've had elite politicians/lawyers shoved down our throats for years - it just keeps getting worse. Who better than one of us to help sort through the mess and clean house (and senate). She's a female version of Ronald Reagan.
I love McCain and would not want to see anything happen to him, but if it did I would have complete confindence in Palin to run the entire United States as well as she did Alaska. Anna
I cannot see past the obvious “slick politician” factor in the Obama-Biden ticket. Joe Biden has the feel of an old school swindler. Complete with slick backed hair and crooked smile. A Politicial who is “kissing babies and at the same time stealing their lolly-pops”. Trust is what is missing from the Democratic ticket
Let's give credit where credit's due. That's to say, if Sarah Palin were a Democrat and Joseph Biden were a Republican, there would have been singing in the streets. Had the debaters been from opposite political parties there would be cheering Nation-wide about how an upstart mother and go-getter stood her ground in a National debate against an old, white, male, career politician.
Not only did Biden appear to be the typically stoic and somber, politician but, he kept talking about Obama as if he (Obama) had been part of Washington's policy makers for decades. Biden implied, more than a dozen times, that Obama has been in the center of each brainstorming session of every major issue. When everyone knows Obama has been on the campaign trail for over 18 months.
Pundits were expecting the worse for Palin. They were pretty much saying that it would be a miracle for Palin to come out of this debate with her head attached. Sarah Palin not only walked out of the debate with her dignity intact, but I think it was Joseph Biden who may have been a few inches shorter as he walked off stage.
Kudos to Sarah Palin for standing her ground and beating the odds. She may not have won the debate hands down but, she beat the point spread by a mile.
I 100% agree with those who are honest in saying that Biden won the debate, which is expected of him because of his history. 35 yrs in the senate, a strong personality, I would have expected nothing less. However, I believe the ultimate goal for these candidates in a debate is to swing votes their way and that's what Palin has accomplished. By Wed, there will be a definite shift in the polls over to McCain. There was a politician and there was a person on those pulpits and people will go with change, change that the Obama camp has been preaching about, in which people will finally realize that the Obama change is not the change they want. They are going to go with the change from the 'outsider' whom Americans can identify with and not the typical politician(s) that have run this country into the ground. I am not for McCain/Palin, but am against Obama/Biden.
We really dont have a choice here, Barry is too inexperienced and McCain will have our children fighting war on so many fronts in this world. I am scared. The scared voted goes for Obama, I dont like socialists but I am not thrilled with the Dick Cheney/McCain bunch lying to us to go into another war.
Mark: His pointing out McCain and Obama's records were mostly wrong in fact, but the answers for his campaign's plans for America contained a little more substance than Palin's, whether or not his facts were right or wrong. I was hoping to see more fact finding from the pundits last night and this morning as I am sure we would see many factual misrepresentations from Biden and maybe a few by Palin. So I agree with you that his answers contained fiction, but to the average viewer who doesn't know that and would take Biden at his word, he seemed a little more substantive. That was just an observation based on feeling from a neutral perspective. I'm certain if you pursued who was more factually accurate that Palin would have the upper hand by a long shot. Unfortunately I haven't seen much of that in my limited viewing of the news today. Last night it was almost completely absent and it seemed everyone was talking more about presentation than substance.
We should have nominated Romney, with the this financial debacle. We don't need these guys going in not understanding the problem and just being held hostage by Wall Street and their money grubbing scare tactics.
GO SARAH GO!!! "WE, THE PEOPLE" ARE WITH YOU!!! We are going to "STAND UP" and fight for this country with you!
Palin won hands down. The main stream media is reporting how Biden won on points and Palin won the hearts and minds cause she is just so down home. I think that is just a load. It is simply a way for them to under report her success.
So let me get this straight, Biden gets up and lies for 90 mins and wins on points. Please. Read the record. He was wrong in at least 10 instances that I counted my self. I don't know about you but I call those lies.
I know who sees this as a Palin win.
Simple-minded people that can be brain-washed very easily.
You know, the kool-aid drinkers, the Jim Jones crowd.
Palin was spoon-fed every talking point.
When she did not have a good answer, she always went back to energy.
That is why she was an air-head in her interviews.
That is why Daddy McCain had to sit in and protect her in her 2nd interview with Katy Cuoric.
This Nation is in the WORST SITUATION in my life-time, I am 70 years old.
Bush's Inept Policies with NO Regulations and Corporate Greed caused all of this Country's mess, both at Home and Abroad.
I am a Conservative and I will never, ever vote for a Republican again.
Why, here is the list: In Crisis Order.
1. The Iraq Crisis.
2. The Afghan Crisis.
3. The Real Estate Crisis.
4. The off-shore Job-loss Crisis.
5. The Credibility Crisis.
6. The Health Care Crisis.
7. The present Job-loss Crisis.
8. The on-going Financing of Terrorism by American Companies in Iran Crisis, which McCain and all Republicans Voted NO to stop in
Senate Amendment S.1351 on 7-26-05. They condone the KILLING of our Soldiers by Iran just for the BUSINESS BUCK.
Sen. Obama and all Democrats VOTED YES. So WHO CARES MORE ABOUT OUR TROOPS?
9. The Financial Crisis.
10. And now, our Budget Crisis.
ALL OF THIS IN JUST 8 YEARS, AND WHEN WILL EACH ONE OF THESE EVER END?
These are 10 Crises that I can think of, please add to the list if I left any out.
Bush's Administration and his INEPT DECISIONS make President Carter look like a STAR.
Can't you people think for yourselves?
You guys want to follow the crowd and jump over a cliff? Be my guest.
I research, analyze and think before I Vote.
Thank you.
Angel, now an Independent.
Angel you are right lets not make the Christian Conservatives fool us this time around, we need a real fiscal conservative in the White House in four years time, some one who will balance the budget and help chip away at that ten trillion dollar deficit. Ron Paul 2008' Romney 2012'
I am sick and tired of the Obamabots and the McCain/Palin trolls, lets talk straight and stop this adoration of Palin cause she said something cute she is running for VP not best reciter at the state fair. Obama is inexperienced, McCain scares me cause he has a temper and 894 out 899 in class makes him a dunce. We need real change. Romney 2012
In response to John K, I agree with you totally. First of all, I'm not from US and I can still understand facts and lies. Every tme when Biden said John McCain was dead wrong on those issues, I kept saying that's not true (I've been following the election just as other responsible Americans do. Who won the debate is not important eventhough the Obama Campaign really needs that. To rescue the nation and reform the country are the chief priorities. Even O'Reiley rated her for winning the debate. One thing I like to point out for Obama/Biden regarading the dirty coal policy -Biden last night said that they strongly are against the coal industry and would rather let the other countries to do it and buy energy from them (people who don't like America). It rasied me eyebrow -how stupid as to let the other countries to do dirty coal mining industries, getting energy from them afterwards, and thinking that the pollution would not affect us. This is a nationwide problem and is an important issue of Global Warming is all about. This is totally unresponsible to the whole nation and the world if they send money to other countries encouraging them to do more coal mining when they need more money by all means. Having said that, American is more advanced and scientific, John McCain proposed clean coal technology and safe oil drilling. That's what Palin talked about ways to avoid Global Warming last night. If I'm in America, I would surely vote for McCain/Palin.
If a high jumper takes off then the bar is raised he will never make the jump. That is exactly what is happening to Gov. Sarah Palin !!! So in most of the news media she will never be or do good enough. If experience is the bar she has more than Mr.Obama who wants to be our President. !!!!
HOW COME ONLY THE FIX NEWS I MEAN FOX NEWS NETWORK HAD PALIN WINNING WHEN ALL THE OTHER NETWORKS AND HUNDREDS OF PAPERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY HAD BIDEN WINNING EASY.
MSNBC is liberal and Fox News is conservative Ken, its all about spin. That's why CNN used independents to rate the debate, Biden won hands down. Fox News like my neighbors love our female Forrest Gump, "stupid is as stupid sir".
Palin is clueless on real world issues. For her to keep referencing to Alaska was really sad. She tried too hard to focus in on 'Soccer and hockey moms" Her smirk was a sign that she was cocky and clueless.
I would move out of this country if she were to ever have to step up and become president.
As for this poll. As suspected, most of you are happy with the state of this screwed up counrty and with McCain and Palin it would only get worse.
IMO
Lets face it Sara aint the best apple that fell from the tree, but what matters is she is a Christian mom that looks like us.
Pastors are right lets vote for a Christian, for all the charges against George Bush he has been putting in the Supreme Justices to repeal Roe v Wade, Sara will help to do that. Many may be jobless when its all over but we will get a God fearing woman at the helm.
And Beth Ann, Bush is a Christian Dad that looks like us too. Looks can kill, literally!
Carl you are a liberal, stop and look we need a Christian at the helm. Palin looks like the people at my church, I would trust them any day over BHO.
Usama bin laden
Obama biden
Go Palin! Clear clear talk, talks to the average citizen, not above, a delightful clear thinking professional. I agree with an earlier comment -- surround yourself with the experts, listen to their advice, and make decision. She's smart enough to listen, learn, and decide. Let's do it, America! Send new thoughts new ideas to America - Let's grow, Let's go!
Palin spoke plain and clear to us, Biden looked like a polished politician. I think she will do well as she can communicate to us that something is wrong and stuff. She also will have the experts around her. I so wish the ticket was flipped.
Ok people, I am an Independent.. And I have been watching this whole campaign very closely.. As such, I have been looking into the backround of all 4 Candidates... First off, I have heard from the Obama Campaign that, "It's time for a change, No more politics as usual." Yet the more I look at this ticket, the more I see the Same Old Politics on a Daily Basis.. Now we see a 44 year old Woman, being given a great honor, and all I see is the same people who talk about wanting change, clinging to the same old politics as usual...
Joe Biden has realistically never had a private sector job, and Barack Obama has never done the job he has been elected for, unless he was elected to run for office continually... When asked before this whole process started if he would seek the Nomination, he said, he didn't want to become president until he had a few more years under his belt, but that lasted as long as it took for the Democratic Leadership to tap him and tell him to get out there and run.... Also I heard a speech that he gave after the vote on this Monstrosity of a bill now almost a Law, of which he is now taking credit for, his quote being, "This is not the end, it is only the beggining, I don't know what you all think, but frankly, that scares the hell out of me, to hear the man that is running for President to say that this bailout is only the beggining ???? Wow how much worse could it get...
Now onto Sarah Palin, I know she doesn't have all the politician speak down, but frankly I am sick and tired of the same old same old, I am happy to see someone that can speak to me in plain language, and not use all the same old political rhetoric...
Last point, I am going to vote out, any of my representatives in Congress that vote for this Massive S**T sandwich that we are being forced to swallow, and I find it very curious, that the Democratic Leadership, which has constantly bashed President Bush, and his administration, have almost whole-heartedly embraced this BAD bill, that was proposed by that same Administration, without so much as TRYING to find out if there might not be a beter solution, without us having to pony up again......
OBAMA/BIDEN have PEAKED TOO EARLY...LOOK AT THE POLL'S BUSH/KERRY, from 2004, almost the same, KERRY WAS UP 6-8 POINTS THEN...HE LOST...BARACK WILL AND MUST LOOSE! Vote McAIN/PALIN for real change!! BYE BYE OBAMA BABY!!
Larry your post does not meet the 100% truth test Kerry and Bush were tied 47-47 a piece on the 4th October, 2004. See link below. The same pols has Obama up 9 points

Ignorance is bliss. Keep voting for the same people who have screwed you over for the past 8 years...LMFAO
Palin won hands down!! BUT I am soooo tired of all the LIES. I can hardly tell the truth any more, or is there any out there. I was so happy last night when Palin called Bidden on him saying "NO COAL" in the rope line. I saw that and he was saying "no coal". I honestly think Palin is the only one that you can trust at this point. It really scared me this morning when I heard small children singing the "oboma song". What is this world coming to. One more thing I really do believe Palin when she said Washington, and congress needs to be cleaned up!!!!! you go girl!!!
Let's be honest Sarah Palin did better than expected but she wasn't great! She still doesn't seem ready to be vice president.
I don't think McCain was thinking about the American people when he picked Palin. There are a lot more qualified Republicans!!!
It is interesting that the post-debate polls put out by most other networks, MSNBC, ABC, CNN, etc., are the opposite of the Fox poll. Most news sources are announcing those polls, but not the Fox polls which favor Palin. What is even more infuriating though is that some Fox commentators are also citing these other polls instead of their own network's poll!
On last comment, you will note that Biden said during the debate in reference to his many years of experience in the Senate, "I'm not going to change!" How revealing that the campaign that espouses the moto, "Change you can believe in," would have this guy as their VP.
I can’t believe so many people are saying Sarah Palin speaks to the American people and that she is a breath of fresh air!!! She is a step above an IDIOT! What was McCain thinking??? Was she winking last night or was something in her eye? I am so embarrassed to be a Republican right now!!!
if i , as a black person, start saying a bunch of slang in a VP debate, I would be looked at as uneducated and unprofessional, not like someone that relates to the everyday person. Why does she get away with it ?
If you are content to elect a career politician Joe "foot in my mouth" Biden, and a Harvard trained lawyer, dirty Chicago politician who has never accomplished anything, then you deserve what we get.
If you can sell yourself on "change" from someone with no track record of ever doing anything that was not related to trying to get himself elected, from the church he chose to a long list of "present" votes in the Senate so he was never commited to anything that might harm his candidacy.
IT IS JUST STUPID! There is no free ride in life, and an Obama presidency weakens us economically and militarily in a time when we cannot afford either.
I read comments about 'slang' and things like that and I wonder what people are really hearing. When Senator Biden made his 'gaffs' in the past I thought they were humerous but I don't make much of them. Same goes for the 'slang'. The most telling point of the debate was when both were asked how they would serve their respective presidental mates. Governer Palin gave the distinct impression she would follow McCains lead, disagree if needed, but follow his lead and do what is needed. Senator Biden basically stated he would be meeting often with Senator Obama and providing advise and guidance. Normally I would not make anything of that except that Senator Biden in the primary did say that Senator Obama was not qualified enough to be president and it's not an on the job training situation. Generally speaking in any organization the person above you should be looked up to for various reasons and experience is one of them. Here I feel is where Senator Biden gave away that Senator Obama does not have the experience that is needed. It almost sounded like a 'Biden presidentcy', at least in the beginning. Yes Governor Palin needs experience also but at least from the start Senator McCain will not be looking to Mrs. Palin for serious guidance. It will be the other way around which is what you would expect. When you work for a company you look to the person to report to for advice and the like. When it goes the other way consistantly everyone knows what is said around the 'water cooler' (so I won't repeat those here) about this supervisor or whatever his/her position. So if I was Senator Biden I'd be pretty happy and bolstering Senator Obama now knowing how much power I could have at my disposal. This is not to say that Senator Bidens intentions are not honorable; I think they are. But to turn Senator Obama into 'presidential material' since he was nominated for the VP position is suspect.
Did we watch the same debate? Palin mostly avoided any detailed answers on issues (GI: How would MacCain differ on Bush on Israel/Palestinian problem? Palin: Well, we shouldn't look back to the past! We are all for change.") Her reply, coached and pretty empty, show basically how little she thinks about a variety of issues. The lack of curiosity, the lack of 'thinking of possible alternatives," of thinking through complex issues, is her style. How then can this rather simple and complacent woman (not unintelligent or inarticulate or unlikable though) offer a new vision? She doesn't. She lives and dies through cutsy, almost cliched, folk images of America and the family, half real, half rhetorical. And yet, Foxies seem to eat that stuff up. (Yes, the left has its own silly myths, just as pointless and intellectually limiting as Fox.)
Something else that is interesting: the polls after the debate almost universally showed the inclination towards Biden. Yet here, on Fox, the exact opposite happened, almost to an absurd degree(8-1 for Palin!)? How more in the tank can a network be without getting direct pay and assignments from the Rep. pols. Most of all, shouldn't that make you feel out of step and raise doubts about the 'no spin' ranters who endlessly remind you that they are "speaking the truth," Isn't it instead a a fairly narrow and peculiar focus on politics and the world that they (Gibson, Hannity, etc) ram down your passive ears on a daily basis.
LAST NIGHT WE SAW A WOMAN WITH A STRONG CHARACTER, GOOD JUDGMENT, A SHARP INTELLECT AND AN ABILITY TO RELATE TO THE PUBLIC. SHE MAY NOT BE AS POLISHED AS I'D LIKE, BUT IT'S THE QUALITY OF THOUGHT THAT COUNTS. GOD FORDID THAT ANYTHING WOULD HAPPEN TO A WONDERFUL MAN LIKE MCCAIN, BUT LET'S FACE IT THERE ARE ADVISORS TO THE PRESIDENT AND SHOULD SHE SUDDENLY BE IN THE PRESIDENTIAL ROLE HER COMMON SENSE WITH GOOD ADVISORS BEHIND HER WOULD ASSURE A GOOD LEADER.
A SUGGESTION TO SARAH, ADD THE ENDINGS TO YOUR WORDS AND STOP SAYING "YOU BET CHA".
Sarah Palin spoke more "truth" in 90 minutes than we have heard from the Dems in the last 90 months (7.5 years).
I only wish she and John McCain would go on the "offensive". I am sick and tired of McCain trying to reach across the aisle.
As we all know, the Best Defense is a good Offense!
When are the Congressional Hearings going to start for the Freddie Mac / Fannie Mae debacle and throw Dodd, Frank, etal in jail like the CEO's of Enron.
NOTE TO JUDEX
NOT ALL WHO ARE FOR PALIN ARE "FOXIES" SHAME ON YOU FOR STEREOTYPING EVERYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH YOU. THE FORMAT OF THE DEBATE HARDLY LENDS ITSELF TO "IN DEPTH" DISSERTATIONS ON HISTORY, COMPARISONS OF CANDIDATES, FOREIGN AFFAIRS ETC. ETC. IF YOU WANT MORE INTELLECTUAL CONVERSATIONS FROM THE CANDIDATES SUPPORT CHANGING THE FORMAT OF THE DEBATES
Just for the record this poster is a 'pedestrian'. It seems that whoever is in office runs me down. Being 'independant' do me any good either so I made my own designation. I'm not in the tank for either party or news service. I bounce around listening to as many views as I can. The bottom line for any of us is 'Will there really be change?' and if not what are we going to do about it? If the place is not cleaned out and things done diffenrtly with us, the little guy' being the main focus then in reality nothing will change. And backing any party with any serious determination makes one look foolish. I've been made a fool so often by goverment that now 'I'll believe it when I see it and feel it!'. So as far as who I think won the debate is the channel with the most viewership.
Patricia: LAST NIGHT WE SAW A WOMAN WITH A STRONG CHARACTER, GOOD JUDGMENT, A SHARP INTELLECT AND
We saw??? Who is we? The already convinced? I didn't see a woman like that. I saw a woman who speaks like a zombie with a lovely smile and a repressed erotic come-on, who doesn't know banal her talking points because she thinks "adorable fluff" is the same as a thoughtful answer. Pathetic.
Strong character? Don't get me started (dysfunctional family, tendancy to exaggerate, loony religiosity and an utter lack of curiousity about the world---
She's a wind-up ostrich. )
WELL SAID JUDEX!
Patricia, we are talking, responding, debating here. Should I simply bow my head and let you and YOUR CAPITAL LETTERs go unanswered. I am glad to read and listen to you, but I also want to give my two bits. My point, by the way, was about the difference in voting between foxies and the general public. For good or bad, doesn't that seem a bit remarkable to you?
1. I would like a different debate but even so, there were lots of intelligent points made but not often Palin. Glad you agree.
2.Yes, I am stereotyping right a la fox and the left too. But I realize there are some interesting people on Fox (James Pinkerton, Byron York) but it is so one sided, so dominated by certain easily upset and repetitive yellers, that it is hard not to stereotype.
3. Again, why capitalize all of your words? It has the effect of screaming down the opposition.(would you like to scream at me?)
4. I think Foxies is a cute word!
Thanks, MB.
Keep up the good fight and have a good day.
Sounds like JUDEX enjoyed looking at Mrs. Palin and has mixed feelings about that....:D A 'repressed erotic come-on'? Did you want to in fact 'come-on' but your a democrat? Maybe if she was a democrat that would never leave your lips! I'm concerned with what they say, not how they look or how I THINK THEY WANT TO LOOK. Like I said, as a 'pedestrian' I'm looking in all directions, not democrat or republican or liberatarian or a librarian. Politics can be very entertaining and your comment is definately compelling....:)
Palin did an excellent job at what she had to do last night but I'm marking my calendar for this day, October 3rd, 2008 as the day we blatently got sold out by our Representatives in Washington, D.C. I think it will go down in history to be known as
F*&% You Friday! Black arm bands would be appropriate to wear for the death of the free market system. Wish McCain had had the "fortitude" to vote against it. He lost respect from me and I've been a very loyal Republican since I worked for Barry Goldwater who would turn over in his grave if he saw what they did today.
With Palin only having five weeks under her belt, she outshined them all. You go girl! People who are critizing Palin are jelous and need to learn some patience. There is a learning curve for us all.
If you read the bible you will know that if Obama is elected we will be heading towards the end of the USA. Obama is scary and his wife is even more scary. They are white folk haters!
K Bright makes an interesting observation. A parallel is the gasoline industry. The price per barrel has gone down significantly but the price at the pump has not followed. It's down some but not in accordance with the cost of oil per barrell. But you can't find the person, people, organization, market forces, etc., that dictate the pump price? The rats are numerous and cover for themselves superbly. The same goes for the house and senate. The American people have not given them such a low rating for nothing. The specific individuals, companies, organizations, etc., should be made first to account for themselves and right the wrong. But no one will come forward and or will admit wrong doing. They cover real well for themselves, republican or democrat. 'It's not their fault even though in some cases they recieved tremendous amounts of money from the Freddie Macs and the like.' Some for political reasons yet. They sure set the example for the rest of the country don't they. So the little guy has to come to the rescue again even though they voted for the big guys to represent them and protect them.
Really folks, they should not be called a 'party'. The only ones in the 'party' are the ones we elect. We should be redefined as belonging to the democratic or republican 'sucker society'. If true 'change' really happens I'll eat my words!!!!!
They should carry out these debates under oath and press charges on falsifying information :) Biden would be in deep trouble...he effectively blended in 10 to 12 false statements that most Americans would just believe as factual coming from this great Sen.! Gov. Palin clearly is in touch with mainstream America and I'm excited to "turn her loose" on the establishment.
Sara is so smart President Obama should give her a job in the Secretary of Energy.
From this aspect I agree with the good doctor. At the very least her 'political speak' is not the usual and she sounds more like the average 'joe'. Most political people make you feel like they are talking down to you to so like the 3 Stooges would say 'even you can understand it'. Then run you in verbal circles. Maybe the way she addresses us really will mark a change. I hope so........
Again, I cannot see past the obvious “slick politician” factor in the Obama-Biden ticket. Joe Biden has the feel of an old school swindler. Complete with slick backed hair and crooked smile. A Politicial who is “kissing babies and at the same time stealing their lolly-pops”. A Harvard lawyer with no practical experience, and an old man who has been stealing from us for years.
Trust is what is missing from the Democratic ticket.
Was it only me or did Senator Biden sound like a socialist (Communist)? More spending for health care, education, new energy, more regulation --What happened to leaving the government out of business. Gov. Palin had it right--Give the American's and small business back our own money and let us decide how to spend it. No wonder businesses leave the U.S.-They can't afford to do business here because it is their patriotic duty to pay taxes. It was the socialist views of the Clinton administration that brought us Fanny & Freddie-they thought it was the "right" of every American to own a house whether they could afford it or not. Obama was a lawyer for Acorn-he represented individuals indited for voter fraud. I wonder how many dead people in Chicago will be voting for Obama/Biden. Gov. Palin seems like the only person around who knows the meaning of cutting spending. Lowering taxes on business actually increases government revenue and creates more jobs. Stop expecting hand outs from the government. We must be responsible for our own actions and assume risk-Not expect the government to provide everything for us.
I think Sarah Palin spoke and responded with honesty and integrity. Joe Biden seems to hold on to the idea that " I know you think you understood what I said but what you failed to realize is that what I said is not what I meant".
I thought Governor Palin was outstanding and really connected with voters. Watching biden was freaking me out becuae he has so much botox in his forehead and around his mouth that his upper lip and eybrows don't move. It's a little freaky.
Well first for the people that think Joe Biden is with us middle class I hate to prove you wrong. Calls were made to the Home Depots this morning just to see if the Senator who stated he is always at the home depot talking with his friends "I understand the middle class" making us think he is one of us was a lie. It is recorded by a radio station that talked to several employess at all the home depots in wilmington where he stated he hangs out and he gets it. Bam all was a lie for the tv viewers (FACT) he wanted to have everyone think he was as down home as Sarah Palin . Reminded of Obama having a bracelet on just like John McCain did. Gosh they are not one of us . WE don't have millions in the bank and can pay off the media. The only thing I say is Barry Soetoro your father Barack would be disappointed in you for lies you know good and well you are from Indonesia and you can never get away from the Islam faith. Nondenic to you (Arabic) you know the meaning!
I can't believe BHO just keeps climbing in the polls he is averaging 6 points above JSM, life is unfair.
I believe that Sarah will one day be the President, which would be great. If Obamessiah wins this round he will most certainly not be elected again after 1 term.
McCain should not be a coward he should continue to campaign in Michigan. John you a making me cry.
I heard that polls have said Biden won. What were they watching? I want to see her debate Barry!
I live in Delaware, and we are familiar with Joe's act. A working class Scranton background maybe, but he lives about 4 miles from me in a $5 million+ estate!
May God bless Sarah and her family. Her sacrifice of privacy proves that she is a true patriot. Thank you, John.
The problem with this country is it is obsessed with intellect and smarts. My kids are voting Obama after I worked hard and sent them to college. My big city daughter called Governor Palin an imbecile, these kids don't understand that even though Sara is not very bright she has a heart of gold.
Pray for Palin and McCain and this country! If Obama gets it, this country will suffer.
The problem is the fancy people is the suburbs are for Obama as their jobs are at risk and McCain really does not understand the economy. But as for us in the backwoods we need Sara to feel good about ourselves again.
I kept a scorecard to find the true winner of the Veep Debates 'n without a doubt, Sarah Palin won. Here is how I determined that conclusion:
1. On points scored (objective delivery of candidate's message) > Palin 18 - Biden 10;
2. On delivery of zingers that connected to viewers > Palin 5 - Biden 2;
3. On audience amusement (laughter) > Biden 1 - Palin 1 (a draw);
4. On effectiveness (offering something new) > Palin 2 - Biden 0;
5. On knowledge of material (subjectivity) > Biden 11 - Palin (the novice) 3;
6. On wrong and/or misleading facts > Biden 13 - Palin 4;
7. On mannerisms and gestures toward opponent (condenscending finger pointing in a kind of dictatorial way, irritating facial smirky grins, hateful stares) > Biden 7 - Palin 0;
8. On Moderator providing leading questions that played favorably to a candidate > Biden 8 - Palin 0;
9. On Moderator providing leading questions that played negatively toward a candidate > Palin 6 - Biden 1;
10. On exceeded expectations going into debate as the underdog (Palin) > Yes;
11. On exceeded expectations going into debate as the topdog (Biden) > No;
12. On closing the deal with voters > Palin {Yes} - Biden {Not Quite}.
Throughout the debate, Senator Joe Biden never once spoke to Governor Sarah Palin. All his answers and rebuttals were aimed at Ifill as if to suggest that Governor Sarah wasn't important. How much more condenscending can that be, when added to his finger pointing gestures that seemed to suggest he was the only one on the stage that mattered.
In retrospect, Sarah Palin always spoke directly to Joe Biden, except when her message was to the American voters. Governor Sarah never ignored Senator Joe's presence on the stage, and it was apparent she had the sense to know the debate was with Biden, not Ifill.
Sarah Palin was able to make the connection with me that she is more than capable of being the Veep. Joe Biden never did show he was anything more than Obama's attack dog!
I'm glad you aren't my teacher! Some "unbiased' scorecard! Who attacked more, Biden or Palin. My scorecard shows that she was aggressive(good or bad), more of an attack ..um, poodle. And she often, unlike Biden, didn't answer the question but often turned the discussion to something more general and vague, something that she was tutored to say. I guess her brain doesn't work very flexibly. (You want a VP with the mental rigidity of corpse?) Finally, why do we assume that she 'speaks with integrity" with a voice 'from the real America." Alaska takes in more from the Federal gov. in earmark money (per person) than any other state; it has half the population of that 'exotic' state, Hawaii and the demographics are not so typical either. Recommended: http://www.slate.com/id/2201548/ Read and week at this Republican tomfoolery.
Palin won the debate, sh has spunk. But she didnt answer any questions it was a stump speech. After watching the debate I am now more assured she is not an idiot.
Not an idiot, but...... Hummm... programmable robot?: " .... When she couldn't answer a question, she went back to her talking points and repeated the same lines over and over like a malfunctioning robot. Her small town girl witticisms aside, I heard nothing from her to reassure me that she has one iota of the emotional intelligence needed to be vice president (and possibly president) or the necessary intellectual heft.' Vebrun
Judex give her a chance, us conservatives don't ask our leaders to be elitist intellectuals. All they have to understand is small government, lowering taxes, be against abortion and support strong national defense. I think no matter how dumb you think she is, she can understand these principles and make a good Vice President.
This was a political moment to be remembered. Palin is the new Regan and will lead an era in conservatism.
Well, George, maybe conservatives should ask their leaders to be, if not elite, at least curious and flexible and able to look at all aspects of a problem. Don't you have a good example of that in Geo Bush, a guy who may have had good intentions and 'basic conservative principles' but lacked the skill to deal with complex issues. In the end, his lack of 'intellectualism' became practical: From an incompetently run post-invasion Iraq to a blinkered economic policy. Basic principles don't cut it anymore. I want thoughtful, pragmatic people, not conservative sound bites. You should too. (That is why Romney would have been, in the end, a better choice, either as Pres or vp nominee.)
No doubt Romney would be better than these two candidates but he just was not palatable to the Christian Conservatives because of his stance on abortion. I hate to say these Christian Conservatives kinda hijack us Wall Street types but we have to keep out the tax and spend liberals. A rock and a hard place.
Good point, George, but it still was a mistake not to pick Romney, so this time I am choosing the hard place: Obama. Despite some of his policies, his style and attitude (calm response, build consensus, don't do anything rash) is more conservative than Gut Reaction MacCain. I think we will all be better off with him in the end, even Wall Street. As for MacCain, he seems out of touch and almost nihilistic.
Then next election we can vote for Romney.
Good night.
As a conservative I cannot vote for Obama, after this bailout and the lack of inclusion of Romney on the ticket, I am sitting this election out. In four years we fiscal conservatives need choose a capable candidate not two narratives.
As a conservative I will vote for Obama, he is calm, cerebral and pragmatic. I like McCain as a Secretary of Defense not President,. If my party gave me Romney, Obama would not have stood a chance. Time to vote for our children's future and not a Karl Rove narrative.
The last time we trusted the Rovian narratives the big box stores replaced the mom and pop stores in the neighborhood. Our manufacturing jobs have gone to communist nations like China. Today a 90 year old woman tried to kill herself because she lost her home of 38 years to foreclosure. Winks and you betchas aint gonna help my family.
I think Sarah is a delight and a natural speaker. I trust her and she is truly refreshing. I hope McCain will change his speeches and put some life into them. I do not understand why you people are so critical of her and her knowledge. Obama knows nothing about foreign politics. Why do you think he chose Biden, and that is not saying much. He made plenty of gaffes on foreign policy in the debate. For god sakes she is a governor. What has Obama ever done. Oh yes, his Present Votes. That says a lot!!!
Wake up People!!!
Joan God bless your heart, but please wake up 159,000 persons lost their jobs in September. John McCain response was to get rid of earmarks and pork barrel spending. He just does not have an acceptable understanding of economics and Sarah can't help him here. I am voting Obama, sadly not because he is a conservative but because he is smart. I need a smart pragmatic leader.
Too long we have been sheep to narratives like "tax and spend liberal", "hockey mom", "mavericks" and "country first". Americans dont need help they need opportunity to do what we do best, work hard. Bush and Cheney have nearly brought us to our knees. I am tired of of this crap.
thank you Sara .America needs the people that are responsible for the values and freedom. i am an Iranian and i am proud of you and John. Good bless.
When Joe Talks... It's Botox
definitelly, Sarah Palin was the best, very clear, was talking with very power.
The same TV stations that give us NFL sport shows and a tv series about housewives should not influence people in an election by hosting a serious debate.
Why can't we select people on their ability?
Candidates try to appeal to you by looking at your Hollywood movie stars and sure enough most people cant see the difference. Fooled by presentation, not content.
Right on Dr. Morrow. Biden's reputation is as a constitutional and foreign relations expert. He made errors in the debate that would have put Palin out of the running if she had said the same, but Biden gets away with it.
note to judex-- "Patricia, we are talking, responding, debating here. Should I simply bow my head and let you and YOUR CAPITAL LETTERs go unanswered."
judex, you seem to have an underlying problem! my comments were in capital letters for a very simple reason. i have a university degree, but it's not in typing. i simply left the cap lock key on, so now you know you aren't being yelled at. happy?? :o) it's simply so much easier than capitalizing when necessary. guess i just try to do things faster, so i have more time to read about the issues from all sources, liberal and conservation. you should try it.
you are obviously reading more into the debates than the other ones commenting here, as shown below;
JUDGMENT, A SHARP INTELLECT AND "We saw??? Don't get me started (dysfunctional family, tendancy to exaggerate, loony religiosity and an utter lack of curiousity about the world--- she's a wind-up ostrich."
your views are extreme to say the least.(erotic come on) yikes!!!
you did have one very good point. Romney should have been chosen for the presidental runner in this election.
hope you feel a little more secure now that you haven't been yelled at, look, no caps.
if palin's family is dysfunctional, as you say, then i'd like to see more like them. a family that has problems and deals with them in a loving way. our country was founded on the same ethics that this woman exhibits. she values her family, loves her country and isn't afraid to show it. good for her!! i never vowed to be her 100% supporter and will continue to read and generally educate myself in the next 30 some days. i believe in looking at all sides in an issue before making a final decision and dealing with facts rather than generalizations and stereo-typing.
PALIN WON. BUT THE BELLY CRAWLING SNAKES IN THE MEDIA WON/T ADMIT IT. OUT HERE IN THE FLY OVER COUNTRY SHE WON BIG YOU FOLKS IN THE EAST AND WEST COAST MIGHT NOT THINK SO. BUT THEN YOU HAVE SOMETHING BAD IN YOUR WATER. DAN
After viewing the results of the polls on CNN and FOX, it appears neither one is valid/reliable. Democrats dominate CNN's site and the Republicans, FOX. Each group's perception/bias dominates their responses: on CNN the clear winner was Biden, on FOX Palin was the winner. Eac side, in a delusional sort of way, is happy!
LET'S ALL JUST LOOK AT THE LAST EIGHT YEARS. DO WE REALLY WANT 4 MORE? COME ON. WAKE UP! YEAH PALIN GAVE A SPEECH.THATS IT. I JUST CANNOT BELIEVE PEOPLE WOULD VOTE FOR A SPEECH. DO PEOPLE THESE DAYS NOT TAKE ISSUES AND EXPERIENCE INTO CONSIDERATION. I CANNOT BELIEVE PEOPLE WOULD VOTE FOR MCCAIN PALIN BECAUSE, PALIN GAVE A GOOD SPEECH. WAKE UP....... SHE WAS MASSIVELY PREPPED. THE QUESTIONS THAT WERE ASKED ANYONE COULD HAVE ANSWERED IF YOU FOLLOW POLITICS. I GUESS.... MOST PEOPLE DO NOT UNTIL THE ELECTIONS ARE RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER. PRETTY SAD. WE HAVE HAD REPUBLICANS IN OFFICE NOW FOR 8 YEARS AND JUST LOOK WHAT THE BUS ADMINISTRATION HAS DONE TO OUR COUNTRY! I THINK IT IS ABOUT TIME TO GIVE THE DEMOCRATS A CHANCE. I AM SURE THEY COULD DO NO WORSE. WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!
Thanks NIKKI some middle america sanity is back on this forum. We don't need four more years of this crap. Enough
i bet half of these people are republicans and don't have a clue as to whats going on in this country. do any of you know tha alaska is a leach state feeding off the lower 48 states. palin as governer kets more tax money from the goverment then they give . do you get 2000 dollers from your state tohelp pay for your energy costs. plus an additional 1000. she taxes the big oil companies on there windfall profits yet downs obamas tax proposal. the only diff is that tax would help all americans not just one state
She is a conservative cause she taxes big oil to give everyone a $1,200 handout. Sounds like a liberal to me.
Okay my fellow Democrats. I hate to say it but I think we need to stop lying to ourselves. I cannot do it anymore. I thought if I said things enough I would start to believe them but it is not working. I kept telling myself that Palin sucked and memorized all her information for the debate, and that she was not qualified for the job, knowing that I was just denying the truth. It never worked, I could not brainwash myself. I even tried to ignore the obvious lies that Biden said and thought I would get over Obama standing next to that low life, and having him for a running mate after all of the things he said about Obama. I cannot do it anymore. The truth keeps getting exposed, and the doubt in my mind gets harder and harder to fight so, I am calling on all my fellow Democrats who feel the same way, and know damn well they are lying to themselves, to stand up, swallow your "PARTY" pride, and just go vote for the right persons for the job, McCain/Palin. I am, and I know my mom, sister and daughter are convinced too, and will vote McCain/Palin also. I am so sorry to my party, but I must vote for the lesser of 2 evils. I am not changing to Republican or Independant because I will forever be a Democrat, but I just can't vote Obama/Biden.
Based on last few debates, is Obama and Biden the better ticket? Well, it depends on what "is" means. If "is" is taken to mean what ever rationale human being, then NO they are not.
Sarah Palin has an actual record of experience to stand on. Let's not underestimate what a working mom can do! She has to juggle a lot of stuff. She has ACTUAL (not virtual) executive experience. Her records as mayor and governor reveal a tremendous amount of accomplishments. She is down to earth, sharp and sincere. She has dealt admirably and more than admirably with family issues, her privacy being invaded, the condescension of the press -especially the neo-libs of CBS-ala Couric, ABC-ala Gibson, the NY Times (no longer a credible journalistic source) and the other alphabits channels; having her name and credibility dragged through the mud by the likes of SNL, Jay Leno and David Letterman, not to mention the smears by the likes of Obama (the "lipstick on a pig" remark which, following on the heels of her comparison of a hockey mom and a pitbull, was so sexist and racist). All the far left knows how to do is be condescending, with an "I'm so much better than thou" attitude. Their candidates trash talk, rattling off soundbytes with no bite, proffering false info about their opposition, promise the moon and deliver nothing but limburger.
I say Palin is great and I'm voting for her and McCain in '08 and I hope she'll consider running in 2012, too.
The neo-liberal Democrats, real "far-left loons" (as O'Reilly calls them) have done so much disservice to our nation. It's time for a change, but NOT a Democratic change, especially if Obama and Biden are the best they can come up with. It's no wonder people are leaving that party. It's no longer the party of FDR or JFK. Jimmy Carter pushed it further into leftist territory and Bill Clinton sent it over a cliff with his disgusting antics in "the PEOPLE's Office" (Oval Office). WAKE UP, AMERICA!! The Democratic Party has become, in nearly everything but name, the SOCIALIST and/or COMMUNIST Party of the USA. Interesting how many European communists changed their party name in the 1990's to LEFTIST DEMOCRATS. And, believe me, they speak the same leftist dribble.
Sarah Baracuda, our nation needs you and our national hero, John McCain, if only to send a message to those Washington insiders with their heads in their navels that they NO longer represent the people of this great nation because they have been overcome with lust for greed, power, money, etc. Nancy Pelosi, you should step down NOW! Followed by that creep Barney Frank and others. John Kerry should be ashamed of himself for the remarks he made on Bill O'Reilly's show last week, wanting to assign blame anywhere but on the Democratic Party. Kerry and Murtha are turncoats for what they have done to our military people. But, make no mistake, the American people are alot smarter than you give them credit for and they are going to vote in the right people this November: McCain and Palin.
Senator Biden did well, he knew what he had to do and he did it. With all the hoopla about Governor Palin being a new fresh face in Washington, Senator Biden had to bit his tongue a bit. He could not come across as a bully. He had to make his points and adequately dismiss the false accusations of the McCain campaign. Gov. Palin could be aggressive and it would be dismissed since she was already characterized as the underdog. Among conservatives he was in a no win situation and a tie was the best he would be able to achieve.
Governor Palin was articulate and did a good job supporting the party line. She was obviously well coached and did what McCain needed most (My god please help separate me from Bush, he's killing us). She was well prepared and brought plenty of half truths to the debate. She is also onboard now with hijacking the "Campaign of Change" slogan which they adopted from the Obama campaign. Overall, I wish they just let her speak, because I trust her and I think she would have come across more sincere.
I wish she was the presidential nominee. We need some people who care about the people and getting jobs back into this country. She also seems to understand we are all on this rock we call America together and as such we all own the resources (oil, land, water, etc...) and in her state the profit of the oil resources are shared with all the people. This is money which was raised from taxes of our ancestors to buy Alaska. Hmmm! Maybe the rest of us should also be getting a little of that investment back, like Obama was saying.
Regarding taxes, the progressive tax structure was started because those in the position of making money were also those using the most resources. For example, they typically produce more trash; freeways are designed for heavy trucking, not lighter weight cars, etc... This is how we financed infrastructure improvement to improve commerce. Basically we are not using equally so we don't pay equally. Currently this is out of balance. The last 8 years we have decrease taxes under Bush and Cheney with the hopes that business and the wealthy would reinvest in new businesses and make more money as well as create new jobs and opportunities. Instead all we have seen is that money used to ship jobs offshore at a faster rate and more investment in infrastructure in other countries. Why do we as Americas have to put America first, but American company CEO's and board members can put the company and its growth first. Not its profitability which has been fine, but its growth and say screw America and Americas. Most of these companies continue to operate well in the black and yet getting rid of Americas in place of foreign workers.
This country will have a tough time with a repeat performance of the "Bush/Cheney administration" blunders. It would be a shotgun blast to all of our faces. For a negative change, vote McCain in 08!
Sarah Palin won hands down! Joe Biden Is a boldface lier and how anyone
can declare Biden the winner after using lies all through the debate is beyond
me.
I'll make it real simple...It was probably a tie but I would give the debate to Palin since she is fresh and inexperienced and still came out looking good. Since Congress passed the bail out I would prefer any U.S. citizen with a degree form their state university be representing me in Congress then any politician from Harvard or Yale. You or I would "keep it simple stupid". The less the government intervenes the better we all are. The Palin's made available their tax returns and by what I see she can relate to the majority of the people. McCain should wake up and turn on Congress and get tough now on the corruption in Washington. McCain and Palin need to walk the walk now! If McCain means business he needs to drop names and take on the corruption while he's campaigning. At 72 what does he have to lose? The way he's campaigning nw he's going to lose the election.
All bloggers - pro and con - should do a search about their subjects prior to spouting off. For exanple: Obama lies. Biden Lies. McCain lies. Palin lies.
Then look at the source of the material and if it is NYT - AP - NBC - Movon.org - Daily Kos - Huffington Post - Chris Matthews or Alan Combs to name a few you'll know they are nothing but democrat mouth pieces.
If it is the ACU - National Journal - National Review - Weekly Standard - New Republic - GOPUSA - Rush - Glen Beck - Michelle Malkin- Ann Coulter or Jonathan Gathwaite you are getting the conservative viewpoint. We need to support what is best for America.
