What effect will Ron Paul's endorsement of Chuck Baldwin have on the presidential race?

None.

It might take a few votes away from Bob Barr here and there.

It will ensure that Baldwin, not Barr, comes in 3rd place in the popular vote.

Baldwin could actually win some states.

Too early to tell.

Paul's endorsement of Baldwin will have to help the Baldwin campaign. I've heard of former Barr supporters and others talking of getting behind one candidate to send the strongest message to our unconstitutional government. Paul made the right choice in Baldwin as he is the best candidate to take about the most important freedom issues of the day.

I think PAFreedom is correct.

The failure of RPaul, the failure of his inner circle, the failure of the supporters of liberty and constitutional government, to convince him to compel him to continue the presidential campaign has resulted in a huge set back for the movement. To walk off the field when times demanded that we not back down prove we really dont have a real movement with a dedicated leader. Paul walked with millions and the hopes of millions more. Instead of standing and fighting and educating millions to the cause of liberty, we let Paul move to the shadows. Paul/Barr would have confounded the neocon bastards and re-altered the political center in our favor. To think we are going to turn this thing around with some rear-guard, plodding Campaign for Liberty, re-taking Congress one seat at a time is in a word, ludicruist (sp). Paul did not have the vision and opted for the warm womb of the back bench and minimal media coverage instead of the media megaphone available in the context of a presidential election. The country is now practically lost.

McCain made a big mistake by not taking up Ron Paul's MESSAGE! McCain should have, no bail out, close all bases overseas and return the troops home to work on our problems, no income tax on a man's labor, BACK TO THE CONSTITUTION! If Mcain had done that he would be 70% ahead by now. The trouble with McCain is he has one foot in the liberal camp and one foot in the Conservative camp with the river flowing under him. I will probably vote for him to keep obambi out, and I suggest a backlash against obambi and the demoncrts for buying the election!
