I voted "might" only because a week is too short a time for a normal bounce to dissipate (unless stepped on by new news, like the other party having their convention as happened here). If the first debate was in a week, then I'd vote a week.
"You disgust us all." You sir, are a tool of epic proportions. My vote: the bounce is mostly real. IE: McCain might not be up 3-4, but it's pretty much a dead heat.
depends on how the media decide to play palin. if they let the mccain camp off the hook on not subjecting palin to any serious inquiry, then this bounce may last. the media always loves a tight race.
I love that Ambinder and the commenters here refer to the "media" as if it were wholly separate from, and uninfluenced by, themselves. Undoubtedly Ambinder is an influential voice, and yet I wonder, when history passes judgment on our present era of journalism, whether this maggot will even warrant mention among those of his profession who abdicate their duties, remaining silent as American democracy rots from within. I suspect not.
The left-handed feature of it all is that it gives BHO the opportunity to demonstrate that he can deal with pressure from outside his own party.
