I actually don't knit at all. When I was around 11-years old, a friend tried to teach me and I just couldn't get the hang of it. I learned to crochet in my freshman year of high school many, many moons ago and now I've taught both of my daughters. They're the ones who turned me on to Craftster...life is just too cool sometimes.
I learned to knit when I was about 14. It was so difficult for me to learn, even though two of my three sisters picked it up quickly. Anyhow, my lack of success with knitting made me afraid to learn crochet, until my friend Andrea taught me (in about the span of a few hours), just last year. Yep. Crochet is sooo easy for me, but I still struggle with learning new stitches or techniques in knitting.
I learned how to knit when I was 5, and it still seemed easier than crochet. Then again, maybe I just like knitting a lot more...
I learned how to knit easily. I could never get the hang of crocheting. I always made triangles instead of squares! :)
I both knit and crochet, but I still find I am more likely to make mistakes in crochet. I also find it more difficult to read the crochet patterns.
