Absolutely, anything that chips away at Microsoft's near-monopoly in the space will be welcomed by many

Probably, Google and open source is a combination that shouldn't be underestimated

Maybe, but it's really too early in the game to tell

No way, Firefox's a great browser, but it has been around for years and its market share is still dwarfed by IE
