The old system of year round unrestricted transfers did not lead to the feeding frenzy we now get twice per season. Also the small window gives a big advantage to the bigger clubs with their large first team squads. What can the smaller Premier sides do when they have injury/suspension problems during the season when they don't have anything like the size of squad of the big sides. In the past they could go out and buy a replacement to fill in the gaps, but now they have to play reserves and youth team players.
Yeah true but if players could be bought and sold whenever this seriously disrupts the team athmosphere and the way they play as well. Plus younger players as you said get more chances to play
it should close the transfer window because evey team will be able to get players joring seasons and compotitions
