I absolutely feel pain for the folks who are directly affected by the Hurricane, but I don't think we need minute by minute reporting of the storm.
After having Fox News on all day and after hearing about nothing but Gustav all day, I would greatly prefer to have something, anthing, other than the hurricane on tonight. I feel for the people but enough is enough.
Do both! Go find McCain and the other RNC players and report on what they are doing because of Gustav. I am sure they are doing whatever they can to lessen the misery of our fellow Americans! Show us how they really care about our country and what they are actually doing to help. By covering them, you will be covering Gustav too.
I think the media covers both well. I would have liked to have had more news about the convention in MN though. (which I see happening now) Thanks FOX
I like Fox News, but twenty for seven of the hurricane is a bit much. Looks like our country is big enough that we could do two things at once. Maybe the men could go check on the hurricane and the ladies could cover the convention until they can get back.
Greta, This hurricane and threats of two or three more to follow is devastating. But, the Democrats had their day, and the 24/7 coverage of the hurricane along with many of the speakers who will not be attending due to the hurricane is a bit much. Then there are the Senators and Congressmen who are sending videos in lieu of appearing in person. Isn't it unfortunate the President Bush feels obligated to stay at the White House in case he gets a 3am call re: the Hurricane (As if he could raise his hand the winds and water would stop) Only Obamessiah thinks he can do that! If Bush flew in to the RNC , spoke, then flew out, he might be accused of not caring enough about Louisiana, again and blamed for this hurricane also. I see good old Governor Schwartzzeneger is not attending due to a tight budget in CA- no money. If that doesn't beat all? Maybe if the left -liberal California taxpayers money would stop supporting illegal aliens, the good governor could attend his own party's convention. Another alternative could be -why not "stick his hand in his pocket' and pay for the trip himself- afterall, its not like the Kennedy/Schwartzzeneger couple are poor, middle class folk without extra cash for a short domestic trip and hotel.
The hurricane, oh please, not more of it. I guess when you are a 24/7 "NEWS" show you have to do something to fill the time. Embarrassing to have it be so lackluster.
