My husband was in the Air Force for 11 years and was just chosen as one of the 40,000 Air Force Officers to be cut last year. We were so shocked as were his superiors as he was a wonderful officer with top rankings and respect. As far as we're concerned we'll always be active duty at heart.
As a former military spouse I liked them all but had to vote for the one that made me laugh. MRE's Not For Me. I also liked the sentimental Homemade on the homefront. I was there 4 years ago baking day in and day out for our troops in Europe on their last stop before dropping into Iraq. It felt so rewarding to be able to bring them one last homemade meal or brownie before they went into harms way. What an amazing thing to see all those planes, tents, men and women ready to support us and our country. Can you say Eye Opening, REALITY CHECK PLEASE!? I'm sure you're feeling similar things now.
I'm praying for you all as well as all of our National Guards men/women/police/search and rescue/EMTs and Drs. for the strength to get through this and make the right decisions for all involved. Keep us posted please.
