Great idea, terrible name. Messages are called Tweets and people who Tweet are called Tweeple, Twitterati or Twitterers. So the awards should be called Tweeties (like "sweeties") not Twitties (like "titties"). The former is cute & fits while the latter just makes me groan.
I think you're trying to be funny but it isn't really very clever and doesn't fit the medium you're trying to give an award in.
