I thought Inoke should have been the starting QB going into Florida. I'm sure many fans will be disappointed if the coach doesn't make pertinent changes before the next game.. Loyalty in Hawaii is expected and Funaki is our Local boy and the best candidate for 1st string!! It was clear watching on tele, the JC's do not have the speed, experience, or mental toughness of IF and TG. Hopefully, we will have our act together and decisions made earlier this time. How can the coach sit on a crucial pick of starter for QB prior to game day? Put Funaki in as starter this week-JJ saw what most Hawaiians saw in IF>......Noot

I was under the impression Inoke did well because he was playing aginst 3rd string walkons. Even Graunke looked good at the end of the sugar bowl once the other teams starters were out.. Remember Colts first game against USC it wasnt outstanding either, neither was his last, I think Rausch deserves a chance to show what he can do when healthy and against a non top 10 school.

Hawaii coaches need to realize that you do not need the strongest arm or tallest qb or even the fastest runner when it comes to playing qb in the run and shoot. You only need good decision making, accuracy, an inate knowledge of defensive fronts and smarts on how to bait the free safeties into leaning one way and throwing the other. That is why Inoke did well. He understands the system. I knew that this game was doomed without Graunke and I blame him for letting us down. He now needs to man up and try and take this team to the promise land.

    Observation:

The 2 junior college quarterbacks need to be able to scramble. Look at every successful quarterback in the run and shoot has been able to scramble at UH. They both appear unable to. Timing of their passes behind usually due to the speed of the game. Only game experience can help overcome this. Accuracy cannot be taught it is an innate ability that one posses through one's brain and body. Just like speed you either got it or don't. One can get better but as they say Colt had "IT". Inoki deserving and Graunke can help when allowed to.
