Now that vice presidential candidates have been announced, what do you think about the presidential election?

I don’t care as long as my candidate gets elected

I hate all the TV ads and mudslinging, and can’t wait until the election is over

It will be great either way to break down barriers – either the first African-American president or the first woman vice president

I love politics, and this will be an interesting race

I am a person who most often tends to vote along a certain party line; however, in the end I vote for the individuals who I think can best accomplish the goals I think are important for the country and the particular needs that I have. Senator McCain has certainly stirred up the pot a bit and made it even more interesting with his VP choice. This is a new time and these are groundbreaking choices we have to make. I try to watch the eyes, the body language as I am watching each convention and observing the candidates with the hopes of making the right decision. Sometimes I am making that decision ias I enter the voting booth. I don't like mudslinging but it has always been a part of politics so I take it with a grain of salt. I just spend a little more time researching the candidates. You should never not vote - your vote does count and it is a privilege.
