Thanks to all of the members and staff of Rails to Trails. Its the good fight, keep it up. Walk, bike and keep that carbon footprint as small as possible.
Rails to Trails is doing a great thing...the more you all do the better off cycling is as a whole
Before I go out of town with my bike, I check Rails to Trails first. I have had some wonderful rides utilizing the trails. Keep up the good work!
RTC does a great job! Unfortunately, there are not many rail-trails in Alaska at this point. However, the state does a fair job of using IS-TEA funds, and there are short to mid-length bike trails all over the state--including areas that are off the road "grid". (In Alaska the grid only connects Fairbanks to Homer, and some of our largest towns (Bethel, Barrow) and all of Southeast Alaska are isolated from the rest of the state through lack of highways.) We're retired now, and really looking forward to coming "Outside" to take advantage of the great railtrails in the Lower 48.
