Yes, Yes, Yes, Absolutely a woman would enhance and elevate the McCain republican ticket. This is the opportunity for many women in the Republican party to stand up and be counted as well as reaching out there to former Clinton followers and independents

Boy, what a great idea and one that is needed. Plus the republicans would be the first major party to it. That's worth a lot of votes and quite smart. This election is one of firsts so lets go all the way to the white house. Yeh Yeh a woman now yes yes yes!

I think no. Why? The unhappy democrat women who voted for Mrs. Clinton are already going to vote for McCain ‘08 because they were dissed. Millions have said so. So it is the male vote that McCain lacks. America is too sexist for a female president/vice president at the current time. If Barack were a female, he would not have been the nominee! McCain needs to choose a male. I think this is sad, but sadly America is over the race problem, just not over the gender problem yet.

A woman VP would be great..but won't it look obvious and shallow of McCain that he's doing it for the votes only....rather than she is the Best Pick? Not sure.

STOP THE DRAMA - NO OBAMA.

GENDER AND RACE ARE NOT IMPORTANT. EXPERIENCE IS. McCAIN IS THE ONLY PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE WITH ENOUGH EXPERIENCE FOR THIS OFFICE. OBAMA IS SIMPLY SAYING, "I'M SPECIAL!" --- SORRY, BUT I DON'T AGREE. SO HE'S CONVINCED EVERYONE TO COME TO THE COLISEUM TO SEE THE GREEK GOD!? ARE THEY WEARING TOGAS AND LAUREL WREATHS ON THEIR HEADS? WILL THEY BOW DOWN AND WORSHIP HIM? WILL HE SPEAK ENGLISH? ARE HIS FOLLOWERS CRAZY? REMEMBER JIM JONES? NOW HE'S PASSING OUT BAMA KOOL-AID. WE NEED AN “ADULT” QUALIFIED PRESIDENT --- NOT SOME LOONEY TUNE WANNA-BE. THE CLINTONS ARE HOSTAGES OF THE DNC. THEY HAVE TO SUPPORT OBAMA ALL THE WAY --- IN ORDER TO GET HIM TO PAY OFF HILLARY’S CAMPAIGN DEBT AND PUT HER ON THE SUPREME COURT. YES, the Clinton's both gave good speeches. However, read between the speech lines people! What they are saying isn't close to what is happening, nor to what either of them believe! VOTE FOR THE HONORABLE JOHN McCAIN IN NOVEMBER.

I have been following the election very closely this year. As a lifelong democrat, I'm totally disgusted with how the DNC conducted their primary. With all of the voter fraud (caucus) and actually taking votes that were placed for one candidate and giving them to another candidate assuming that is really who the voter wanted to vote for has made me not only infuriated with their lack of democratic principles but determined to take a good long look before EVER voting for a Democrat candidate again! I'm not bitter or clinging to my guns. I'm a college graduate, upper middle class, professional woman who despised George Bush and his last 8 years as President. With that being said, I will be voting for John McCain. I believe he will not be GWB and we will not see another GWB term. However, if I were to vote for Obama, I believe this country will long for the days when GWB was President. I wish my fellow democrats would take a good long look at this man for his candidacy. Not be blind to the historic moment that he is an AA - take a look at this man's character! Please! I beg anyone considering a vote for Obama to look at his voting records, his affiliations, his background in politics in general. He has not been vetted for this job! If we thought GWB had little experience and no business in the White House - how can you argue effectively that Obama does have this experience? As far as McCain selecting a female VP. I think it would be a great idea - provided that candidate has the background, experience and ability to do the job well. It should not matter what gender or color the person has as long as they are QUALIFIED for the role. I do think from a strategic point, the dems have selected their 'attack dog' for VP to do the 'dirty work' - this would be difficult to do in debates against a female Republican candidate as I beleive it would come across and stir up all the negativity surrounding Hillary's run. If McCain were truly a maverick that wants to run from the center and embrace all sides, I think Olympia Snowe would be an excellent choice. I know conservatives will say no way because she is pro-choice. I can not believe one issue can make or break a candidate. Ms. Snowe has a record of reaching across the aisle and working with the dems.

No woman. It is Republican party. I want to say something -----in Philly if you are not a supporter of Obama1) If you are white then you are racist 2) If you are black then you are "uncle Tom" 3) If you are hispanic then you are stupid. If MLK was alive he will not approve. This event is more exiting than OJ. Simpson's verdct.

I'm so sick and tired of "strategy". It shouldn't be about color or the sex of a being. It should be about knowledge, love of country, morality, integrity, honesty and someone who doesn't believe the killing of babys is less important than almost anything else in this world. If we de-value life and value all thats material what does that say about us as a people. It shames me greatly. But anyway; just like on a job hire the person MOST qualified NOT affirmative action and other crap such as that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is. He has. It's a done deal and his ticket to the White House. She is awesome, more experienced as a Governor than Obama as a 3-year Senator who has been campaigning for President 2 of those 3-years, refreshing, honest, intelligent, a true American in spirit and practice. We have something to look forward to again- politics NOT AS USUAL. I'm eager in seeing the Capital Hill do-nothings get there tickets punched. Palin brooks no lobbyists, no special interest legislation and builds real bridges encompassing Democrats and Independents in her state of Alaska, rather than 'bridges to nowhere" which is SOP for the Hill gang. Her selection as VP renews hope that God is still listening to the prayers of desperate Americans who feared the Presidency of the USA would be taken over by a suspect candidate (selected by the Pro-Muslim, anti-Jewish, self-loathing Jew, and Nazi-collaborator, George Soros who is the money man behind the Democratic party and moveon.org.) claiming to be a patriotic American with a black segregationalist wife (has anyone read her Princeton thesis? I did) who considers America a mean country, and was never proud of 'her country' until now... What a couple!.. of what, we still haven't found out. We're not even sure if Obama is an American citizen. The Obama sneak-team will not provide his original birth certificate. There is only a copy of what is allegedly his Hawaiian birth certificate that can be viewed only via the web. What has happened to the Democratic Party, American savvy and that "I'm from Missouri," attitude that would demand proof of citizenship from a man who might not be an American at all and has been given free-reign to run for President of the USA without anyone verifying his authenticity? Here's hoping true Americans, whether they be Democrats, Republicans or Independents will wake up and shake off the lethargy and brain-washing of Obama's memerizing, well strategized speeches and think America first and foremost and vote for McCain/Palin who are true Americans, with undeniable credentials that we can trust. God Bless America!
