Why is a man having more than one wife (polygamy) wrong?



Because it says so in the Bible

Because muslims do it.

Because mormons used to do it

It devalues women.

I see nothing wrong with polygamy.

Because it is against the law in the United States.

It causes promiscuity.

It is confusing to the children of the wives.

The men who wind up with no wives don't like it.

No man can keep 1 woman happy, let alone 2 or 3.

If the man dies, there are multiple widows to be taken care of.

It isn't wrong - many men in the Bible had more than one wife

It can cause inbreeding and genetic defects

True love requries one man, one women

The wives will be jealous of each other and hurt each other
