Should the media be allowed to photograph the flag draped coffins of our military dead returning home?

Yes, we need to see with our own eyes the consequences of war.

No, as a matter of respect to the families, this shouldn't be allowed.

As a parent of a United States Marine who successfully completed three active tours in Iraq and was award a purple heart, I have witnessed on several flights on commercial airlines, the young service men and women who must accompany the bodies of their deceased comrades and I have seen their solemn demeanors. I have been to funerals of the sons of friends and I feel their pain. I do not believe that I would want to have seen on the media. I know that the day I received the call that my son had injured was the worst day of my life. Some things should be private and respected. There are other ways to broadcast the consequences of war.
