Even with the drinking age being 21, teenagers at the age of 18 still get the alcohol of their choice. The difference really is, they call it illegal at 18. Statistics are similar from back when the legal age was 18. MY POINT IS THE 18 YEAR-OLD GROUP DO IT ANYWAYS

I have a college student that will move in Fri. They should enforce the
rules they have now,,,they all talk a good game but until there is trouble
the school does not even check,,,,They know it is going on and choose to
look the other way, don't ask don't tell,,,There is the right way and then
the colleges way...and then there is football games,, a whole different world...
thank you,,,,
do not use my name my child already says I am the only parent that feels that
way and only hurts the student when the parent raises questions.....

Just think of the increase in auto and bike accidents there would be if it
was lower ..My point is,they haven't master driving yet and they don't need anymore hazards in doing so.....

Why lower the drinking age to 18. Because it's wast of money if you want to drink you will .And in our time and age you can get false ID . and walk into many stores and buy what you want and have a 70% chance of them never even asking for ID . You can fight for our country and possible die for it. SO I say yes you can buy a beer at 18.And how can anyone tell you NO . So raise your children to understand drinking and what it will do to you .

I think they should lower it if we are old enough to get married and get tattoos (not in this state) but I think it would cut back I am 19 married 2yrs and a mother of a 1year old my husband turned 21 and not he does not drink much be for he turned 21 he wanted to do it all the time I really think it would cut back on under age drinking coming from experience I think its a good idea!!
Thank you Kayla B.

I don't think the drinking age should be lowered at all. I know kids get alcohol at young ages as it is, but could you imagine what it would be like if the drinking age was lower? Kids would just start earlier trying to get alcohol and it would just become a bigger problem. I feel that the punishment needs to be increased right now to punish kids who do break the law and drink illegally. You don't have to drink to have fun and that is what people of all ages need to realize.

I am only 24 and think its a bad idea to lower the drinking age. If you drink or dont drink, that is your choice but, with the drinking age being 21 now, kids 16 and up are already trying to find ways to buy it..what next, lower it to 18 and have 13 and 14 year olds trying to get it. A lot of 21 year olds arent smart enough to know not to go out drinking and driving, dont give people even younger a chance to go do that. Alot more wrecks, deaths and innocent people getting hurt! I say no!

I'm much older than 18 but I feel like the drinking age should be lower. At 18 you are tried as an adult in the court of law, you also have the right to vote, marry and serve in the military. If at 18 your an adult why not have the rights to make your own choices. We will sent 18 year old adults to die for us but we don't respect them enough to let them make up their own minds on drinking.
