What do you think of the School Department's proposal to end door-to-door bus service?

It's a great idea. There's nothing wrong with having students walk to a bus stop. It'll save gas and give the students a little exercise. The new plan should be permanent.

I don't want my children walking dangerous city streets. They should be picked up and dropped off at home.

It was a nice service, but realities are different now. Such wasteful practices have to be cut during tough economic times.

Answer 4Cut it for now, but when gas prices drop and times are better, it should be reimplemented.

some children are picked up as early as 6:10am and it's dark part of the the school year. I for one don't want my child walking....
