Do you agree with the decision to keep illegal immigrants out of community colleges?

Who are we to decide who gets educated? We are community colleges, serving the community. How do you expect people to learn English or become US citizens without the education that we provide. I work for a community college, and I find this ruling ridiculous and very discriminatory.

These people are illegally living and working in North Carolina. They are breaking the law. How can a state-run institution condone violating the law? If these illegal aliens are allowed to attend our community colleges, where will they work after graduation? They can't work in North Carolina because it is against the law for an employer to hire an illegal alien. I suppose that is yet another law we are supposed to ignore. As a society, if we choose which laws we will and will not obey, all of our laws are meaningless.

if they can break the law then why cant we,somebody needs to do something about all these illegal immigrants over here taking all the american jobs .while we cant work because they are working dirt cheap and taking all of our jobs.what are we supposed to do .they are taking over our country and bringing in illegal drugs and money.

How can an illegal immigrant meet the residency restrictions? My son went to school in NC from kindergarten through tenth grade...moved out of state of his last 2 yrs of high school...moved back to NC and is considered an out of state resident & must pay out of state tuition? How does an illegal immigrant prove their residency? They head North to take jobs, welfare, food stamps, and free health care while toting in illegal drugs...and those of us who work 50-60 hrs per week are paying for their freebies. I say absolutely NO WAY should they be allowed a free education too! When will the American people take a stand and say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!! If they need to learn to speak English, they should do that before they head for our border! I'm just sick and tired of watching our country catering to illegal immigrants. Does Mexico treat Americans with the same regard? Come on people, wake up and smell the coffee!!
