Yes, I believe Aggregate Industry is receiving a fair hearing. Their past history of heavy fines and numerous citations for violations of the regulations by which they are to function mandate a close monitoring and scrutiny of thier actions. Their history puts into question their trustworthiness, honesty and code of ethics by which they carry out their business. A thorough and complete study of Aggregat's activities must be satifactorily completed before the Chelmsofrd Board of Selectmen vote on Aggaregate's request for expansion. The impact of this deciision on the health and welfare of the residents of Chelmsford will be felt well into the future and must always be our elected officials top priority. A valid reason by which the residents of Chelmsford will benefit nust be be brought forth by the BOS before voting to grant this request and only after a long and thorough discussion of the pros and cons of the ramifications which will or may result.
