How would you like to hear about test results from your doctor?

My doctor sends a letter with the results, which I've appreciated because I've been tracking a health concern for awhile. She also says that she calls with bad results (so far, thankfully, I haven't tested that). However, her letters often only include the numbers without explanation for them, so I don't know if my number is high, low, or normal. A layperson's explanation of the numbers would be helpful.
