Nice article. As a fellow windows to mac convert, I agree with all of the topics you touched upon. I'm still using a PC for some items, but grow frequently more frustrated with windows each time I use it.

this article sounds like an endless rambling about how great the Mac is. A good graphic designer doesn't require a Mac to do great work. I've used both systems and don't have a preference. For now XP is good enough.

I agree with OpenGraphicDesign, but I choose to avoid the Mac like the plague. It doesn't matter what operating system you use.

I'd have to say that it's not necessarily that Designers "need" a Mac, but they just work better and are a much higher quality machine and experience. I use both regularly and prefer the Mac a majority of the time. The user experience is consistent and great at that. Often times with many PC elements, Design seems secondary - sometimes even as an afterthought. Although I work for Microsoft, I still have a great respect for Apple.
