I'd like to see what happens if you correct the 'Sweden-number' for income, given that women are -sweeping generalisation- poorer then men. At least in my country (Holland) the best predictor of your ecological footprint is not your personal ideas about environmentalism, but your income. If you have more money, you have a larger house, a bigger car, and weekend trips to Barcelona. Weirdly, personal convictions about the environment seem to have very little impact on actual behavior.
