No, it is a normal reaction. When people start purchasing less, you lower the price to try to get them to purchase more.
When one gas station lowers the price, then the next one lowers it a penny less to get your business, then the next station a penny less.....it is basically a game of chess and we the consumers are the pawns. Enjoy the price drop while you can, because Labor Day is only 27 days away! You can bet the prices will be up again :(
The recent fall in pricing was just a ploy to get us to spend more for the tax free weekend. It's simple price fixing; a conspiracy that will be imposible to prove without a first hand witness. With the profits those characters are showing it's not likely that anyone will come forward for the sake of our nation. Miss Valorie is correct about the typical holiday increases, and it is getting closer to November. Maybe they are trying to divert some attention away from an investigation.
No,I do not see this as a turnaround. This is REFLECTION of the good sense dislayed by the Americans who are using common sense options, such as:
* Trading in gas hogs vehicles or buying additional vehicles that give much better gas mileage,
* Riding with a co-worker - or co-workers in cars
* No longer joy riding on Sunday afternoon or window shopping on Saturday
* Restaurants are feeling the pain also.. have you not noticed the decrease in their parking lots? Or maybe the customers have decided to double up and ride together to the restaurant - great idea!
We need to keep on hurting the big oil companies pocket books by NOT using the product when wh just can do without. Think before we crank up. Let them keep their extra .30 cents on the gallon. Wait until they give us back our $2.00 on the gallon! Buy those small cars and MoPeds and motorcycles (though I wish you would buy the less noiser ones). I'll watch out for you and help protect you on the highway! If I was young enough, I would buy me a "pink one" and be out there with you! "Keep Pedaling!" "Keep American Green and Clean"
