His performance, with the teleprompter, was just what I expected! Obama really wants to be the first president of the "free" world. He set out to wow them and he did by saying what they wanted to hear. When speaking with a teleprompter, he is an outstanding orator. However, when talking off the cuff, no teleprompter, he stutters, stammers and makes his share of gaffes. His lack of experience, and presidential history, will make him another Jimma Carter if he is elected. If you think you have it tough now, elect Obama, the 2nd term of Jimma Carter!

I have not had any confidence in Obama and the trip only added to that basic feeling.

With the way the Bush administration has phucked up, I will take my chances with Obama. I don't think it is risky. He ran this trip like he has run his campaign... like a well oiled machine. Then he came back home and put together a great team to deal with the economic issues here. That's who I will vote for. You can put out the same old BS that he is a radical Muslim, etc, etc., but NOTHING is stopping him from showing us HE GETS THINGS DONE!!! Old man McCain is back on the ropes dishing out that negative campaign stuff. If he could stand on his own record, he wouldn't have to go negative. McCain has stooped to an all time low with the accusations that Obama didn't want to visit the troops. That he would rather go to the gym. Dumb ass used video of Obama with the troops in Iraq as his 'gym' video. Overall, with a record deficit tanking the economy, I will vote for a change in how we do business.

REPLACE THE DO-NOTHING DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS!

THE JUNIOR SENATOR OBAMA SAYS HIS FOREIGN TOUR WILL "REASSURE" AMERICANS! BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA HAS FURTHER "REASSURED" ME THAT HE CANNOT BE TRUSTED --- HE IS A RADICAL ANTI-AMERICAN. HE WOULDN'T MEET WITH "WOUNDED" AMERICAN TROOPS BECAUSE HE COULDN’T TAKE HIS CAMERAS AND CAMPAIGN CAMP WITH HIM --- HE WOULDN'T AGREE TO MEET WITH "AMERICANS" IN A TOWN-HALL MEETING WITH McCAIN --- BUT HE WILL COST TAXPAYERS A TON OF MONEY SO HE CAN GO ON A WORLD TOUR! I DIDN'T NEED TO GO OVERSEAS WITH 300 ADVISORS AND THE BIASED MAINSTREAM MEDIA TO KNOW THE SURGE IS WORKING! Barack Hussein Obama is a rock star "DIVA" --- he's an Elton John "wanna be". WE NEED A PRESIDENT --- NOT A GOLDEN BOY BABY CREATED BY THE BIASED MEDIA. He took 300 advisors on a world tour. How does this affect the U.S. Economy? Why does he need 300 advisors? He is NOT presidential material. The DNC and biased media "selected" Barack Hussein Obama --- he was NOT "elected" by the people. Senator McCain is in his seventies - for a statesman, he's at his peak. Junior Senator Obama is in his forties - for a statesman, he's just a greenhorn. (BO people: look up the definition of "statesman" before you reply to this comment). McCain has given FIFTY YEARS of service to the United States before he was selected by his party to run for the Presidency. Junior Senator Obama gave only 140 DAYS of service to the United States Senate before he declared his candidacy. I’m still am unsure how he was “selected”. And now for something entirely different: CONGRESS is the vehicle for change in this country, NOT the presidency. When Bill Clinton was running for the first time and was calling for change, the Republicans had control of Congress. Well NOW it’s a Democratic Congress and this Congress has done NOTHING to curb oil price rises, stem job losses, stimulate the economy, ensure proper medical coverage, and stop Social Security bankruptcy. This Democratic majority may not be large enough to make a Bill veto-proof, or for that matter, filibuster-proof, but, they have NOT passed on a meaningful piece of legislation to the President for his affirmation or veto. IF THEY HAD, we'd have a right to blame everything on the President, or at minimum, on the Republicans. Obama's crying for hope and change. HE’S “HOPING” WE WON’T NOTICE HOW OFTEN HE “CHANGES” HIS MIND. Obama’s foreign policy experience is equal to his bowling talents --- NONE. It scares the bajesus out of me thinking this guy may make world affair decisions. My caution is: be careful who you vote for. Its time for Pelosi, Reid and Dean to go ! ! ! They are destroying the Democratic Party and AMERICA. VOTE COUNTRY --- NOT PARTY. JOHN McCAIN IS A TRUE AMERICAN PATRIOT.

Since the Bush Administration has kept us safe here at home, set freedon in motion in Iraq, and has done an excellant job at killing terrorists, I say .... ONE MORE BUSH/CHENEY TERM !!! There is no one on the horizon who could do the excellant job President Bush has done, especially with the media constantly making up lies about his administration, and telling the stupid that Bush has not done a good job. Bush Is GREAT ! ... ONE MORE BUSH/CHENEY TERM ... ONE MORE BUSH/CHENEY TERM !!!! brain tumor for Obama ... brain tumor for Obama ...

On one side we have McCain --- who served his country honarably, many years of service in the senate, POW, war veteran. Then we have Obama --- failed to serve his constituency for even one term --- spent more than half his time campaigning, attented a church where the gospel was "GOD DAMN AMERICA" --- of which he claims he never heard (yeah right). I wonder if this imbecile bothered to mention to the people of Indianna --- during his campaign for the senate --- that he planned on doing absolutely nothing for them if elected? Lets see --- who's is the logical choice??? OBAMA LOVERS --- LETS FACE IT --- ITS THE DO-NOTHING DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS THAT SCREWS EVERYTHING UP NOT BUSH. IT'S PELOSI, REID, DEAN AND ALL THE OTHER LIBERAL ASSHOLES OUT TO GET MORE OF YOUR MONEY FOR MORE SOCIAL PROGRAMS --- AT HARD-WORKING TAX-PAYER'S EXPENSE!

Living overseas as I do it is really sad at how this guy gets a bye from the media around the world. Granted he is a very good speaker and that attracts people to him but go below the surface I am hard pressed to see what if any values that I can support. He wants to raise taxes, he wants the US to be a liberal as the EU, he does not support commitments that the US had made, etc. I see Jimmy Carter all over again!

Senator Obama's trip to Europe did not make me feel warm and fuzzy about him or his foreign policy abilities. Germany was there by the thousands for the rock concert or for him? I am really not sure. That is not the first time his campaign has used that play. Obama has backtracked on all his prior statements and double speaks to say he doesn't. Why would I care that the Germans or the French like him? I don't like him and because of that I will not vote for him. Obama stands for higher social security taxes, higher income taxes, taxes when you sell a house, taxes if you buy a house that is bigger than 2400 square feet. He is not for drill here, drill now. He even wants higher gax taxes. He and his buddies Pelosi and Reid are selling us all up the river to the environmentalists that line their campaign coffers. Exactly where is all his internet money coming from? Does anyone really know? I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't coming from our enemies trying to throw our election to a neophyte.

I have ZERO confidence in him. He is over there acting as if he is already the President. He hasn't won SHIT. From everything I've read about him, he isn't even a good Senator. Name me one piece of legislation he has brought before the Senate. That's right, you can't. Obama is nothing but useless. He won't be my President. I can't believe how people have fallen for his smooth speaking line of crap. He is all talk but there won't be any action.

I have basically ONE statement about the impact of the overseas trip for BHO: BRING BACK SEN. HILLARY CLINTON --She won 18.4 million voters, MORE electoral votes. Clinton is the ELECTABLE nominee and the Democratic Party, delegates, and S.D.s need to vote for the ELECTABLE candidate and HER name is Hillary Clinton. We are living in a time where experience and wisdom is very important in fighting terrorism. We do NOT need a "beginner" in the White House. We need to have a STRONG leader who KNOWS how to be Commander-in-Chief, how to deal with Iran, Afghanistan, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, etc.-- Hillary FITS THE BILL on ALL accounts. JOIN PUMAPAC and get on the PROWL -- we want Senator Clinton's name on that Ballot for an out loud ROLL CALL VOTE in DENVER!

Obama is an absolute DISGRACE. He is NOT FIT to be Commander-in-Chief. He thumbed his nose at our wounded troups in the German hospital and didn't even visit them because he couldn't take his cameras--HE'S A TOTAL DISGRACE-- I can't say that enough!!!!!!!!! I hope that BHO's background about DUAL CITIZENSHIP and the Constitutional conflict it raises in being POTUS comes fully to light and that he does everyone a favor and STEP DOWN NOW!

There is NOTHING Obama could do to convince you narrow minded fools that he is any qualifications, but you thought Bush was qualified. FOOLS!!! Pure hate is when you can't find anything positive, you always have something bad to say about a person. You will ALWAYS find the negative... even when it doesn't exist. You would rather take someone like McCain, who you narrow minded idiots hated back years ago when you voted in the other idiot, Bush. I guess you plan to ignore McCain's record, but I will remind you again just in case you missed it: In mid 2007, he voted only 4 of 14 times the senate voted on Iraq. Apr 03 - Tabled $1 Billion for national reserve equipment. Oct 03 - Tabled amendment to provide $322 Million in safety equipment for the troops. Mar 04 - Voted against eliminating tax loopholes that would have increased veteran's medical care by $1.8 Billion. Mar 06 - Voted AGAINST eliminating corporate loopholes that would increase veteran's medical services by $1.5 Billion. Apr 06 - Voted against providing $430 Million for veteran outpatient care. May 06 - Voted against $20 Million for veteran care facilities. March 07 - Didn't even vote on a resolution to start re-deployment of troops from Iraq by 2008. Sep 07 - Voted against Sen. Webb's amendment to specify minimum rest periods between deployments. May 08 Spoke out against Sen. Webb's G.I. Bill and didn't show up to vote on it; then accepted Bush's praise when the bill ultimately passed. You can bash Obama all you want, but McCain isn't for the troops like he says he is. The grades show. Iraq/Afghan Veterans of America: McCain - D; Obama - B+. Disabled American Veterans: McCain - 20% approval rating compared to Obama's 80%. Finally, think about it. Then some of you will blame the Democrats in congress. How did the Democrats get the congress? BECAUSE YOU REPUBLICANS PHUCKED UP. Time to give a different approach to running this country. Not the ones that have gotten us so far into debt.

Do not be fooled by the charisma of this man Barack Hussein Obama --- he clearly resents America and wants to "change" it in the way anti-Americans want it to be shaped. Obama has no experience, judgment, credibility nor loyalty toward the USA. HE IS JUST A CYNICAL, ARROGANT POLITICAL OPPORTUNIST WITH NO WISDOM. For months, Barack Obama has been talking about fundamental "Change." READ HIS BOOKS. Most of us wonder what kind of change he wants? He has not been able to tell us. If we connect the dots --- we can get a pretty good idea of the kind of change Obama is talking about: He is being endorsed by anti-Americans and terrorists Ayers, Wright, Farrakhan, Rezko, and many other people who hate America. He is for the black supremacist and far-left anti-American ideology running things. His ideas of change are a combination of the ultimate liberal wet dream and America's worst nightmare. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! NO BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA!

I feel he needed a vacation and wanted his campaign money to pay for it. Sure he did very well looking presidential, but does appearance make a good leader or does his ability and knowledge. The President of the United States should be a person with very strong leadership and should make the American people proud to know that he has the their interest first. This has been a very troublesome year with all the changes our country is going through. So please tell me what other changes can there be.

Isn't it strange that no one can give even one achievement of Obama's - either while in the Illinois Senate or as a Congressional Senator? Yet some are evidently overwhelmed by his rhetoric. After listening to his overseas speeches, it is evident he doesn't want to be President of the USA, but of the world.

Beatrice Baer - Many need to understand that our war on terrorism MUST include out allies. That is what we have missed during the Bush administration when we didn't try to build relationships with them. Obama CLEARLY has paved the way for growing these important relationships. It is stranger that people choose to ONLY talk about negative myths about Obama instead of looking at his record... THAT is why you claim 'no one can give you an achievement'. So here you are: This information you may get from the Library of Congress at http://thomas.loc.gov/. Obama’s record: During the first - 8 - eight years of his elected service he sponsored over 820 bills. He introduced 233 regarding healthcare reform, 125 on poverty and public assistance, 112 crime fighting bills, 97 economic bills, 60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills, 21 ethics reform bills, 15 gun control, 6 veterans affairs and many others. His FIRST year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. These include the following: 1. The Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006 - became law, 2. The Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, - became law, 3. The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, passed the Senate, 4. The 2007 Government Ethics Bill, - became law, 5. The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill, In committee, and many more. In all, since entering the U.S. Senate, Senator Obama has written 890 bills and co-sponsored another 1096! THAT is why he gets the support he does. McCain's 'achievements' have been overstated. Check OBAMA 08 response above. Minus his obvious frustration, he/she outlines things people have missed about his record.

A soldier wrote home about Barack Obama's visit to Afghanistan. He said that BO did not even acknowledge them. Do you want this man to represent this country. A man who cannot give our men and women serving for our freedom the time of day. This should upset everyone who reads this. I am a Democrat and always have been, this is making me think about switching party lines. I do not care if this was just a political tour, these men and women deserved some kind of recognition from him.

Apr 03 - Tabled $1 Billion for national reserve equipment. Oct 03 - Tabled amendment to provide $322 Million in safety equipment for the troops. Obama 08 Get with the program. Military benefits should be based on years of service. Why should a 2-year soldier get the same benefits as a 10-year soldier. The Democrats just DON"T GET IT. All the crap that gets added on to a simple bill for special interests is why bills don't get passed. Please tell me this, WHY THE HECK DOES CONGRESS GET TO LEAVE FOR VACATION AND NOT VOTE ON THE OIL DRILLING BILL. THAT IS THE SINGLE BIGGEST REASON THAT THEY WILL LOSE AND LOSE BIG. AS A DEMOCRAT, I HAVE BECOME ASHAMED OF THE PARTY. BUNCH OF LOAFERS AND SPENDTHRIFTS. THEY WILL BE REPLACED. AMERICANS ARE NOT STUPID. OUR PAYCHECKS ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT THING WE HAVE AND WE ARE NOT GOING TO SIT BACK AND LET YOUR INEFFICIENT IDIOTS DRIVE US ALL TO THE POOR HOUSE. By the way, Rich people don't pay more taxes, they invest. That is why they are rich. Try it, you might like it. Leave it to FOX. Most of your readers are Republicans and as such, what did you think the outcome of your poll would be? "We report, you decide," is not just a myth, it's a lie. Obama will make a good president. McCain would be more of the same depletion of personal rights, dead soldiers, lousy economy, high gas prices, failed medical care system, stupid "No child left behind," and an imperial presidency that thinks they are above the law. We (not "we" I didn't vote for him)elected a Texas Oil Man to the presidency and we got Haliburton, high gas prices, soaring national debt, and the Texas Ranger mentality in foriegn relations. Monica seems mild in comparison. Dennis

Dennis C. Tidwell - YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!! I am pretty sick of the 'cowboy' politics. I remember when a reporter told Bush that the gas prices were going to go over $4/gal this summer. He acted like a deer in headlights. He is SO out of touch with the economy that a reporter had to tell him... and now look at what we have. An economy that is in serious debt. He shows his 'C student' status. McCain... well not the sharpest knife in the drawer either. At the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, his class rank was 894 of 899. He did well in academic subjects that interested him, such as literature and history, but studied only enough to pass subjects he disliked, such as math. Voting for him would REALLY have us going down the same road. Time for us to replace the president with someone smart like Obama. Because of his grades, he was president of the Harvard Law Review and graduated with a J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard in 1991. It is insane to believe people are comparing him with McCain and calling HIM stupid.

Vince
Jul 31, 2008 8:05pm ET

barbara - First of all, I said Obama's campaign ran like a well oiled machine. That was his itenerary. The PEOPLE run the campaign and they know how to be most effective. McCain is just doing the old decrepid style of politics. Your comments about Europe are dramatic, but lacks substance. I have been to Europe many times and discussed the health care system with Euorpeans. They don't complain about reusing thermometers. They talk about the many great things about some systems like in one country how mothers of new borns get a FULL YEAR off WITH PAY for them to care for their children. It is not sucking off the system as conservatives claim, it is allowing mothers to nurture their children which would REALLY help with the breakdown of the American family that is happening now. And about congress, ANY member of congress of ANY party should be accountable for performing their job. As OBAMA 08 said, democrats got in there because republicans messed up. We need someone who is going to bring all partys together to make critical decisions. Obama has proved to be able to do this. Rich people invest because they have the money. Them paying more taxes is them investing more in this country and the freedoms they enjoy like the rest of us. Your comments imply that I don't know investments. I do invest. My point is that raising taxes on the wealth will improve services to communities where they invest to buy property or open businesses. It will raise the quality of life for everyone. This small percentage of wealth Americans will always find a way to invest in new businesses. By the way, Obama did very well in school. I am sure he knows his economics. He may have done better than you, unless you are ALSO a Harvard magna cum laude.

Since the majority of college professors are as liberal as Hannity is Conservative, most Conservative students don't stand a chance against those Liberal "shit for brains" professors.

Goofy Vince --- How true. I think Vince thinks one is intelligent if one is able to memorize Liberal bullshit and parrot it back to an ignorant Liberal professor. After parroting it back to the ignorant Liberal professor, that ignorant Liberal professor gives the moronic Liberal student a good grade, and the moronic Liberal student gets to mistakenly think he is educated and intelligent. The reality is, just because an idiot Liberal professor gives you a good grade for memorizing stupid bullshit does not mean you are intelligent. It only means you are to stupid to see the ridiculous shit you were told by an asshole and you memorized was just Liberal moronic garbage.

Goofy and Dummy - You two would be the first to claim that liberals were making excuses if they blame someone else for their actions. What happened to your 'personal responsibility' when it comes to Bush. How hypocritical. If you spent any time in college you would know that you work for the grade you get. Bush was a slacker in college. He thought he was entitled to graduating no matter how hard he worked and he drank like a fish. Reality set in that you actually get what you work for, a 'C' average. If Obama had a 'C' average, you all would be all over him... actually, he probably wouldn’t be running for ANY office. What is your excuse for McCain's class rank of 894 of 899 at the US Naval Academy? You conservatives only use the accountability claim when it is convenient. Hypocrites!

Vince ... So, like all ignorant liberals, you avoid and dodge my question. You realize I am correct and you are not only wrong, but also stupid ... I WILL AGAIN ASK … If you and Rush Limbaugh both took a college course from Shawn Hannity, and you both spoke your mind, whom do you think Hannity would give the better grade? Answer the question DUMB FUCK!!! No more dodging, just answer the question honestly. Maybe I shouldn't have added, honestly, since you have never tried being honest before. Try it, you will like it.

The only place I could find that had the same McCain numbers Vince was talking about was the Huffington Post. The numbers were not verified, just posted by one of the nut bags that haunt the Huffington Post, a notorious far left wing, if not completely Communist sight. McCain’s actual ranking was 19th out of a class of 899.

Aug 2, 2008 8:54pm ET

polster - You would like that that to be true. Here's the link where I found the information. >>>> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_S._McCain%2C_III <<<< "He did not always obey the rules, and this contributed to a low class rank (894 of 899) that he did not aim to improve. McCain did well in academic subjects that interested him, such as literature and history, but studied only enough to pass subjects he disliked, such as math. McCain graduated in 1958." Where do YOU get your false information that he was 19 out of 899 some right wing BS source?

goofy - I avoided the question because it was a stupid one... and typical of a non-educated ass hole like yourself. One who gets all his info from Fox news. Through my profession, I've known MANY college professors and NONE would fit the profile of Sean Hanity. They actually ENCORAGE thought provoking opinion no matter left or right. I guess if you were a drunken ass, you wouldn't spend much time class anyway. Sensationalist media people like Hanity would NEVER be a college professor. Before you start spewing your right wing BS, people like Keith Ohlberman wouldn't be one either. Besides, Hanity is a college dropout if you didn't know. Dumb question that is pointless to answer further than how I have already addressed it!

Vince, You are not intelligent enough to make the decision of what questions to answer or not answer. Those decisions are left up to those of us with a functioning brain. JUST ANSWER THE FUCKEN QUESTION, you nose picking, booger eating moron. --- I AGAIN ASK … If you and Rush Limbaugh both took a college course from Shawn Hannity, and you both spoke your mind, whom do you think Hannity would give the better grade? Answer the question DUMB FUCK!!! No more dodging, just answer the question honestly if you are able to be honest.

Vince … Just as I expected. You make ridiculous statements that you can't back up. When questioned on your ridiculous statements, you dodge and avoid answering the questions because you know you are to stupid to answer and back up your ridiculous statements. Typical, ignorant, left wing loony Liberal. All bull shit and no brain. You are just another shit for brains Liberal, to cowardly and gutless to answer a question.

goofy vince, I understand your question to Vince, but to be honest, it is kinda lame. I am an educated conservative and I can say that your approach is embarrassing and shows you don't have much of an education. Your argument is out of your league so you need to back down.

Jean, I also am an educated Conservative, and must say you really don't seem to be very intelligent. The only reason I say that is because you seem to lack the ability to comprehension the question. It is very possible the same ignorant Liberal professors schooled you as Vince. If this is the case you aren't able to understand the difference between Liberals and Conservatives. If you did receive a degree, throw it away, because you don't deserve it.

William, I have to say, I agree with you. Jean sounds as silly and uniformed as Vince. Jean appears to be way to stupid to be a conservative. She appears, like Vince, to be exactly stupid enough to be a Liberal. They both seem so stupid; they could be the same piece of used Liberal bung wipe.

OBAMA IS SOOO INTO HIMSELF ITS LAUGHABLE
Aug 5, 2008 9:24pm ET

Hell No!!! His arrogance makes me want to vomit. Walking around with his nose in the air! No wonder his hip hurts! He probably tripped over his big head - his nose was so far in the air he probably didn't see a step or something! THAN, he doesn't visit the Soldiers in the hospital. Always an excuse. He's one of the biggest lying politicians out there. Nothing new in Washington is it? It still amazes me that people still believe things he says. They talk about John McCain and his age when anyone voting for obama has got to be totally senile!!!!!!!!!!!! If you believe Mr. Muslim Obama, I've got a bridge to sell you.

DUMB DUFUS - Any idiot, even you, could see that I was responding to the language directed at me. But I really don't expect what you say to make much sense… just pointless, thoughtless ranting as usual.

Obama, is the King of "Flip Flop" If he becomes President We will all be in major trouble. I am very devout christian. I do not like the USA split up into two parties. I wish we could eliminate the 2 political parties. What happened to this country. We use to be a Nation based on Biblical Principals. I am a conservative. But I do not like be rubber stamped Republican. I love the USA - I am a Son of the American Revolution. Every Grandfather since the American Revolution has fought in every war. I hope McCain wins.

What a BEAUTIFUL DAY in the USA. Now that people have finally started to find out what a corrupt, anti American, racist, liar Obama really, truly is, Obama is sinking in the latest polls faster than the Titanic went down. HooRay, HooRay for the USA, and good riddance to you Obama, you two faced, lying, corrupt, scum bag piece of shit.

His trip overseas was so self-indulgent. He took advantage of the entertainment that was booked there...then his camp made video to make it appear that all those people went there to see HIM SPEAK. And if that wasn't so bad, all Obama did was criticize the USA!! And he's running for our President???? Anyone who votes for this joke should be slapped into reality and sense.
