What factors influence your decision to purchase software?

I tried this program, fairly speaking, I was enjoied, at least, I can watch my movie in my iPod touch now. For the last tag, I got to say, please note, not everyone of us are tech experts! I don't even know what is open source or whatsoever. This program did statisfied me, at least I don't need to spend another 2 days to findout what is the 'opensource program.'
