I think Caylee was sleeping in her carseat in the car and suffocated in the Florida heat while her mother was off doing heaven knows what with heaven knows who. Hence the smell of decomposition. The mother had no visible means of support, no real job so why did she need a nanny? The grandmother is acting so bizarre because the truth of what her daughter has done is more than her conscious will allow her to acknowledge. She WANTS to believe that what her daughter told her is true. Why has it taken so long for this part of the story to come out? If it was a child abduction, why hasn't an amber alert been issued?

As a mother of a missing and murdered child myself- I am appalled at how both the grandmother and mother have conducted themselves throughout this investigation. Caylee's mother has had plenty of time to tell the truth- she should stay in jail where she is. The grandmother may not be far behind after the recent 911 phone calls where she said the car smelled like a dead body. The sad thing about this is that they are taking up useless air time giving no information in how to try and find Caylee- Some other parents out there would do anything to get the media attention to find their children.

I feel most parents and grand parents would be frantic in just a few hours if they could not locate their child. The only possible reason for a calm response would be they are in a catatonic state or have had enough time to accept their daughter's death.

My theory is based on the smell in the car and what the dogs discovered - The mother left her in the car in the heat where she died. She was probably drinking or getting high and forgot all about her. When she came back to check on the little girl, she was dead. Then Casey drove around for days, found a place to bury her and came back home. Thats what I think happened.

I know that you're "innocent until proven guilty", but this is crazy. You have a mother who is supposedly so close to her child yet she is so calm and collected. I have a feeling that the 911 conversations have revealed enough information to keep Casey behind bars for a long, long time. The grandmother is obviously distraught and she needs to encourage her daughter to talk to the officers. She was asked if she knew the father and she said that she had seen his name, ut couldn't remember it and that it wasn't on the birth certificate.The reporter then asked if she thought Caylee's father or his family was involved and she said that he was dead, she had seen an obituary. I think Casey is 22, which means she was 18 or 19 when she concieved. Mom's a registered nurse and saw the father's name of her unmarried daughter's child and she can't remember it? What's wrong with this picture?
I think something is "smelling bad" in this whole story. The mother doesn't notify anyone her daughter is missing, the grandparents who live with them, don't know the child is missing for weeks. Now, the mother has "lawyered up" and won't cooperate. What nonsense is this? If this child is alive, wouldn't she be fully cooperating with the police to find her precious baby girl? Such a beautiful child. How could the grandmother not know something was going on. I mean how could they all be living in the same house but yet her grandchild was not there for over a month. How on earth can that be explained? She was such a beautiful child and what ever happened she did not deserve this.
Obviously the grandmother is covering up for the daughter. If she was such a wonderful and caring grandmother, how come its been since June 7th since she seen her own granddaughter. At some point the grandmother should have caught on about the granddaughter missing. The mother was probably strung out on drugs/crack and neglected her daughter which could have resulted in the child's death (hopefully she is still alive). How the grandmother could say she was such a caring and loving mother is beyond me.
I think gramma has serious issues as well come on she goes off on Greta and and Gerldao then tries to down play her 911 call claiming the car smelled like a dead body to claiming it smelled like pizza come on if you drop or leave cooked anything in a car in hot Florida its dries up hard as a rock so it would not smell like a body seems the mother and daughter had some personal issues and the daughter bailed out of the home and only she knows what happened next. I adopted and fought to keep my 4 yr and 2 yr old grand daughters safe from my daughter seems this grand mother should of been doing the same. I only see her protecting her daughter , me I was hanging my daughter out to dry every chance i got to protect my grand daughters.God have mercy on them all cause they are all starting to look fishy to me.
One more question......... Why did the daughter ditch her car and why was she stealing money and her mom's car? I have a feeling she was needing "a fix" and couldn't bare the odor in her own car or maybe.......just maybe, Casey does have a conscious and it's too difficult to be in the car. Some have said that they think she was left in the car and died from heat exhaustion. Well, she must have been restrained because a 3 year old can take off a seat belt and open the car door. Just a hunch... maybe Caylee's mother went shopping and left Caylee in the car, came back and found her daughters lifeless body succombed to the heat index. Casey panics (because she can't believe she's done such a terrible thing). Disposes of the body and decides to make up a story. Eventually, this case will be solved. Casey will crack! I believe Cindy doesn't know the chain of events, but knows, in her heart, that her daughter had something to do with Caylee's disappearance. This case is just unbelievable. So, so very sad!!!

Cheryl I agree with you on that because I can tell you I drive with my minor pointed slightly down so I can see my girls cause they sliped that harness right off if I am not watching. Of course I use to have a neighbor who claimed to give her kids benadryl so they sleep while she is driving . The drug thing with young adults is pills. She looked to clean to be a crack head of course my daughter has done it all. Dr give her medone now. You never know what really goes on behind the closed door of your friends,neighbors or family unless you live in it but I ma willing to bet there was more going on then being told about that house hold from my experience.

I'm with Pat. The thought did go through my mind Casey may have sold little Caylee. Then with the news about the smell in the car I turned to she may have been left in the car & died. Very tragic. This is such a sad case and I cry everytime I see her beautiful angel like face. I pray this will have a happy ending but it doesn't seem to be heading that way. Two more things to ponder. I am a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and if one of my grandchildren were missing I would not be talking about how tired I am and how much sleep I've lost. The grandmother keeps saying keep the focus on Caylee but she puts her own two cents in and is very rude. I would answer all questions unless the police told me not to. I think they both know what happened. I feel the grandmother should be locked up for neglect and withholding information. I definitely feel they should hold the mother (if that's what you want to call her) until this beautiful little girl is found. This whole situation seems to be lies and deception from both these animals.
Every pregnant woman should HAVE to have parenting training. Every family member should keep check on how kids are doing. Where did grandma think her granddaughter was? Her daughter had no money and was stealing. I don't believe anything the grandma says.
It is inexcusable that any mother, who is really a mother would not give any and all information that she has no matter how slight to everyone that would listen and any one, that would come in contact with especially the police. Casey Anthony and her Cindy Anthony are both at fault. It is unconscionable that Casey is more worried about herself than Caylee, the 2 year old that will soon turn three on August 9, 2008. Cindy Anthony, if at all possible, also needs to be held as an accessory after the fact, for withholding every bit of information that she has no matter what the information is. Casey's Defense Attorney is quite frankly, "dumber than a box of rocks" to think that he as Casey's Attorney has any right to Appeal the Bond that the Court and The Judge in this matter has set at $500,000.00. What a waste of time and paper and resources, which could and should have been spent better towards assisting The Police in attaining every shred of information that they can to locate this missing toddler. The ALJ. Administrative Law Judge, in the Appeals Court when seeing these documents, if Casey's Attorney files them in the appropriate appeals court, should definitely deny Casey and higher the Bond rate from $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00 to start with. Casey, as Caylee's Mom, is definitely a huge flight risk. I have come to this conclusion that Casey is a huge flight risk on the plain and simple fact that this Mother let 31 days go by without contacting anyone, that could assist in locating Caylee and habitually lied to everyone she had access to. If I, as a mother to a child who has been missing for 48 hours, I would be inconsolable and I would go out of my way to do everything I could to locate my missing child. I would not make up stories, lie, and refuse to speak to the police or any other official persons that could assist me. Shame on Casey, to think more about herself than Caylee. Shame on Cindy for Assisting and Shielding Casey and not moving heaven and earth to giving the police all the information that she can to locate Caylee. In my opinion, Cindy as well as Casey needs to be arrested for obstructing the truth from the police and the Courts. I am appalled that Cindy, has aided and assisted Casey in continuing the chaos that exists regarding Caylee, the missing child. If I was the Mother-in-law or Mother to Casey, I would not be aiding and assisting her into believing that it is acceptable in any regard to be released. Casey definitely DOES NOT NEED TO BE RELEASED FROM JAIL.
I definitely think that the mother should remain in jail. If my two year old was gone for even an hour and I didn't know where she was, I would be panic stricken. I can't even imagine waiting 31 days. She definitely needs help and I think she is involved in Caley's disappearance.

I have been watching the news coverage of the missing toddler, Caylee Anthony. Something struck me as odd tonight. I listened to the 911 calls that were just released and Cynthia, Caylee's grandmother told the 911 operator that she "found" her daughter that had been missing for a month. Didn't Cynthia tell you and the rest of the media that she had talked to Casey (her daughter) everyday that she and Caylee had been away from home? This case is so strange to me. Too may lies on both Casey and her mother's part. So sad!

This mother is a flight risk. She obviously has no intention of trying to find her daughter because 1) she hasn't found her in 31 days on her own 2) she didn't even want to call the police and 3) she still is not helping the police by giving ANY information to help find her daughter. What makes anyone think that she'll do it upon leaving the jail? She won't. She'll just run and hide.
Absolutely Not. If she wanted to help, she would be talking to the police. I am pretty sure she is saying " I will not talk to the police, they need to let me out so I can help find my daughter" That's a CROCK, she wants out so she can RUN. I absolutely do not believe they should let her out. I believe that they will find the mother is involved in foul play in the disappearance of this beautiful little girl. I think that Caylee's mother knows exactly where her little girl is and that's why she's refuses to cooperate with the police. She obviously got tired of caring and paying for her daugther and decided to either give her to the, so called, nanny or killed that poor precious little baby girl. being a father of 4 , grandparent of 3 , i could not even speak to any media if my children or grandchild went missing ...i would only be coropating with the police and out looking for my family. and for none of them to not know where this child has been or not been even for a week. this smells to the high heavens. a reminder to the mother & grandmother, Jesus warns : if anyone harms the little children it is better for them to tie a stone around their neck and be dropped to the bottom of the sea, than deal with his wrath. Marlyn, On the very very slim chance the mother is innocent, do you believe that would warrant her release, Caylee has been missing for 31 days and the mother never came forward, wouldn't you think that she would have at least contacted her family if all was above board to ask for their help if this was true? Why does this young women have an attorney to protect her and this little girl doesn't have anyone protecting her? I am a grandmother with a daughter that was very diffucult also, she didn't bring the baby to me one day and it wasn't 30 mins before I was finding out where that baby was. I can't see any loving mother or grandmohter doing this. It is heartbreaking as each day goes on. I do hope someone steps up to protect this child.
yes I think she needs to be released from jail because, she knows where Caylee is and she will screw up when she gets out and lead every body right to her or end up telling someone. Someone asked about the car and cadaver dogs, I'd like to know the answer to that also. 3. Give the mother and grandparents a lie -dector test. 4. Who and where is the father? 5. Where has the mother been for the last 31 days. Make her retrace her steps and give names, addresses etc. This is very sad. Our hearts and prayers are for little Caylee.
Obviously there has been some tension with this mother and daughter in the past. She hasn't been able to hold a job, she lies all the time, and she stole money from her family and friends. I am also understanding that she stole her mom's credit card. Has the investigators checked those records to see where she went shopping during that month? She received a phone call the day her mom call 911 from the Nanny and spoke to Caylie for a moment yet that phone number was disconnected by the time her mom called 911. I think they ought to see what the daughter charged on the grandmother's charge cards and dates. Did she buy anything for the 3-year old? If not, she knew the little girl was gone forever.
The grandmother and mother argued about a month ago and the mother took Caylee and moved out. The grandmother had been attempting contact during this period and failed. She finally found the mother through a friend, but the granddaughter was not with her. The grandmother is in denial and in a lot of pain. She doesn't know what to do because she wants to find her granddaughter but she also wants her daughter to be innocent. She's trying to find a way for both of these things to happen. She is running out of possible scenarios. She knows it. She had nothing to do with this and never imagined her daughter could commit such a crime. She still can't imagine it. Let's give her a break; she is experiencing more pain than most of us will ever know. Hopefully, the mother will come clean soon so that this family can begin to heal.

Yes, the poor child is probably gone. Killed by neglect is my guess. The mom is a low life drug user. She steals money, cars, and most likely the life of her child. Has anyone heard anything about her car seat being in the car or not ? I have thought of the theory of her being left in the car as well, and as a recovering drug addict I will tell you that your intentions are always good and you mean to get to where you need to be but "one more" always plays a negative role. I have not heard about her being on drugs, but the theft of money from family and friends are not a good sign. You can tell too she has gained some weight since being in jail, her face is not as sunk in (also a sign of an addict, usually meth or crack). I will continue to pray for Caylee and the family. This has to be difficult. I pray the mother lets the truth set her free.
I am flabbergasted by the display of acting of the grandmother and daughter. It is apparent both individuals are not exposing the truth of the whereabouts of Casey Anthony. I study human interaction and human behavior and both individuals are foolishly performing a play of the ages in front of the media. I have no remorse for the lying mother and grandmother. I watched the grandmother on Larry King and she is not very convincing with her quick witted double talk reagarding her daughters innocence. She is making excuses for her daughter's irresponsible behavior something she has done her entire life. That is why her daughter is in jail. I believe one of two things, 1) .she sold the child either to someone in the US, or Europe, thus the sighting in the airport. (she wanted to be free, and single). and she knew the baby was in good hands, thus the care free attitude (parting, dancing etc..), or 2). by her gross neglect the daughter died, and she freaked out ,and is trying to cover it up.
