    outrageous art.

If 12% of crackers nationwide didn't believe that charicature is true to form, it would be far less 'outrageous' - and yes i get that that's the joke. But, yeah, as a long-time New Yorker subscriber and loyalist, I think it's outrageously funny.

Obama and followers should GROW UP! This is the grown ups world of politics and the constant whinning and screaming Racist is getting old.Once more if you can't stand the heat get OUT of the kitchen and the Race.IF he had waited to attempt this when he had EXPERIENCE and maturity the constant you're picking on me is just disgusting.Go home to corrupt Chicago and give the world RELIEF.We are OVER Obama!!!

It's just a cartoon on a magazine cover.

I don't have any problem with the cover but I think every poll you do has a really obvious false dilemma. I have the choice between calling a magazine cover art or outrageous and that is it. How many magazine covers are art? How does outrage preclude art. I think it is not a big deal and a not too interesting cover. I still think you need to at least talk to some one with a background in statistics and ask for advice with regards to poll design because you are terrible at it.

Uh-oh - Ambinder says he's tired of outrage. This must mean McCain is ready to give up on the "respectful" campaign.

    It's about to get ugly.

Art? It's a magazine cover; it's defiantly not art. I have a hard time planting "art" on a drawing.

Comments about Marc's weight? Are you kidding me? Grow the hell up, people.

False choice. It is of course art, and the decisions to create it and to publish it were both outrageous (in the offensive sense). However, they were also rather outrageous in the complimentary, snap-snap, "You go girl!" sense as well.

The cover is racist. It's not funny and it's not satire. This is just another distraction for the mainstream media so they do not have to tax their feeble brains attempting to cover the real issues.

Hey idiot, will there be a follow-up about whether the Video Professor clip was disrespectful to a war hero, or HIGHLY disrespectful of a war hero? Or perhaps a poll on how we can best use the comments section in your craptacular polls to tell you the things we would like to tell you in the comments section of your website, if you had the sack to enable one (namely, that you are pathetic McCain shill in the sheep's clothing of a journalist, which you no doubt had to purchase at the big and tall store).

    It's just satire.

Just like what obama's good buddy bernie mac would say: The New Yorker was just mess'n wit him.

Put you bigotry away and Get Over It.

I think it's outrageous, and art, and also pretty hilarious. I mean I'm pretty sure the point is to be outrageous, but people aren't quite getting at whom the outrage is intended to be directed.

  • goethean - 16 years ago

    Wort poll ever.

  • Gabriel - 16 years ago

Well, it's a balanced poll, I'll give you that. But shouldn't there be an option for people to put "Both"?
