Do you think Christie Brinkley is using the media in her divorce?

I don't blame her one bit for wanting to be sure that the public, since she is a public figure, knows the facts surrounding the breakup. Otherwise there would just be rank speculation, most of which would otherwise have been incorrect.

Why shouldn't she use the media. The are both in the public eye, and it looks like she go the raw end of the deal. She should use whatever works!

How could this not be a form of using the media? If Christie Brinkley were not famous, nobody would even know who in the world she was.....because she is famous she is maxing out on the publicity. Why should she sit back as big of a celebrity as she is, it will be plastered all over the Star and Enquirer with out her control. This way she can take control of an already potential public subject as it will be, and give her side or the true side without the spin of the Star and Enquirer magizines false drama and spin to sell their magizine but to give her some sort of vendication that some day her children can see the real side. Star or the Enquirer does not care what the kids could potentiallly read they just want to sell their product not the truth.

I feel sorry for the children. Of course they will find out that their father did bad things on the webcam. Brinkley is not being a responsible parent by making all this disgusting stuff public. If she really cared about her kids, she would at all costs try to protect them from every finding any of this out. She is clearly angry and getting her revenge. We have a lot of good media that work hard to bring us anything that would be of interest to us and I think the media also tries to bring us news to make us aware of events or things that happen that would make us safer. I am not sure what Christie Brinkley's point is for having all of the media attention. I can't believe in my own mind that she is A+ perfect and at the end of the day, what does it all prove? After all, most of us do not know the man so why should we really care who he is or what he has done? The only reason the news is big (not newsworthy) is because of who she is of which I care nothing about. We should not really be focusing on her troubles. Christie is a beautiful woman who has always received good press. However she has been divorced two times previously. In every marriage and divorce there is always two sides to the story. Christie has now charged Peter with rough treatment of the two children by previous marriages. Why did she wait until she found out he was having an affair to bring this up. I would never stand for anyone to mistreat my children.

I used to like Christy. Now, I think she is a loser for airing her dirty laundry and using the media to get what she wants and all the sympathy that goes with it. Divorce with dignity, for god's sake.

I do not think she is using it maliciously though. I think the benefits are more affairs may come out of the word work, possible bad deeds against her personally, should details of her situation be in the media, and the children may experience additional protections instead of an absentee dead head in unhealthy control of their daily happiness, needs. Which, can make or break the happiness of children in the long run. I think he needs to be removed from the children and appears clearly not suitably mentally healthy. This type thing can make a child lonely, confused, empty. The guy would not even know how to fill the children's time productively with activities, good meals, love, as the proven mature mother would. I hope the judge will have some true mercy on the children. Really, I do for them.

I was thinking too, people can present a really good friendship at first. They can talk such a good talk getting to know you, come across really clear and sincere. Then, you have this other type of sociopathic or withdrawn odd nature come out. I don't think the marriages of Christie Brinkley in these times is actually her fault. I think she's using the media to protect herself from his ability to steal away her funds, which she will need to continue to support her children. I think she's making a good case for giving the children stability, and needing to continue that without the money thief. I think he is after the alimony and child support to keep funds going for years to keep his wicked lifestyle going for years. . . it is now all selfishly sought by him, even what he has not earned, in any way. I think she may have only had the public arena to launch the fierce campaign for keeping her assets she rightfully earned and supported everyone with, and will need to continue to protect and raise the kids with. I think she's going for obtaining the best and hopefully will likely pull just that off.

The man has an addiction issue with Porn, and that should be taken seriously when deciding custody and visitation for those minor children involved... Look that the case with the 12 year old, Brooke, and the porn in her home/uncles home

I don't have a problem as whether she uses the press or not. She married a jerk and skirt chaser and deserved better. I have been in her place and its not fun and was very paiful, unfortunatelly the woman always comes out on the short end which I did. I do not think that she needs to be protecting his behavior in anyway as far as her children. They DO deserve better than a dad who runs around chasing younger women. Excuse me, but I believe there are consequences to infidelity and unless one has been cheated on you will never know the humiliation, anger, depression, sadness or sense of loss that the betrayed spouse goes through! No, she just happens to be famous, which means she is preventing the invasion of her privacy from the media by making everything obvious. We all know that today many people are pigs and will take money to release private celeb information - she is beating them to it.
