A brain tumour as an excuse?? That is an insult to anyone that has ever had one. Groping and foul language to random women is not found in any medical journal for people suffering brain tumors-shame on you who suggest such a awful excuse........

Your poll is poorly designed. The question is too narrow and along the lines of "When did you stop beating your wife." How about a poll containing these options: After Senator Marzilli uses his accrued sick and personal days, should he resign? If Senator Marzilli is eligible pursuant to his diagnosed medical condition 9or conditions) and health plan, should he take a formal medical leave of absence? I note that "removal" is different from "resign" or "leave of absence" and, in fact, there are constitutional provisions covering removal such that this situation does not, in my opinion, fall within "removal" due to separation of powers issues and constitutional provisions. I am hesitant to recomment a legal action without all the pertinent information.

Deborah, I usually like your comments but you seem to be too educated to try and constantly defend him. How many days of sick time and personal days does on accrue in less that 6 months or one year on the job? Granted he needs help and maybe he is getting it. But let it run its course. Every time you respond some jack-ass thinks he/she is getting to you and in some bizarre way getting to him. So my suggestion is to zip your lip. Help your friend in any way you can privately and move on. You are starting to sound like that moron Bob Sprague mouthpiece of the stupid.

Thanks for declining to zip your lip, Deborah. Those who direct their anonymous opinions toward people rather than their ideas or to facts reveal a paucity of character as well as an ignorance about the rules for writing comments here. Bob Sprague

All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good folk to "zip their lip" - a grand paraphrase - thanks for the inspiration. Also, the full time as a state employee, including what is it - 17 years as a rep without any whiff of controversy - would be part of generating sick and vacation time. I also cannot claim that the Marzillis are friends. I have never eaten at their table, nor they at mine. I do not claim that James Marzilli OR Susan Shaer were ever more than acquaintances. If you were paying attention, you would know I am not "defending" Marzilli but rather the rule of law - and the recommendation of decency and good sense. But then, I have never engaged in "shooting fish in a barrel" and its derivatives [my mother used to call those past times "kicking someone who was already down."
