I wouldn't get one because my dad got hit by a car and was in a coma for a week. These things are not safe among all the cars on the road. I think if people are going to use them to get around they should have to have insurance just like a car.

I would definitely get a scooter to save money on gas, but I have a 4 year old son that must be in a car seat in the back seat of a car, so it's just not feasible.

I use an electric bike. When the battery is exhausted, I continue pedaling. However, with a scooter, you have to push a heavy machine by hand.

If only I had the kind of lifestyle that went with a scooter. With two kids to drive to classes and a house way out in the burbs it just isn't practical.
