Its not clear what effect the opening of tourism to mainlanders will be. What is clear from the tone of this question, however, is that Taiwan News view mainlanders as a second-class people.

I clasify Taiwannews as diehards. Any new innovation and iniatiative by MA's Government is wrong and do not benefit Taiwanese. Take this question as an example. Driving away Korean and Japanese? How so?. What about China Chinese travelling to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand (these 3 countries are the first allowed by the PRC Government to Chinese to travel outside for leisure and travel) since the days the the gate/window of BAMBOO CURTAIN was removed. You mean these 3 countries do not have a large number of Korean and Japanese visitors/tourists. Taiwannews posts question calculate to undermine by way of rumour mongering and gossiping to cause disrespect to appointees of Government Ministers, policies and Ma Presidency in particular. 46 days in the seat of Governing Taiwan and practically daily sent out negative write-ups and reports on hearsay and wipping hate against the new Governement. Tell me which new Government was able to show a 90 degree turnaround of the bad/difficulty days of the previous Government. Trying to destablish MA to create social disorder like what Koreans do to the new Government of President Lee Yon Bak. Taiwannews is run by Taiwanese (or is it run by Japanese or American?). Please write constructive reports/criticism to benefit Taiwanese at large.
