Seems lame that the University won't go along with the city law, even if they are exempt.

OK, throwing feces is disgusting, but wasting a bunch of my tax dollars to go after some people protecting a tree disgusts me much much more. Just let the trees stand. Who would want to cut down a beautiful old oak tree anyway. And it really pisses me off that the university says they're exempt. If anything they should be an example for everyone else to follow instead of hiding behind their public status. I'm planning on cutting down a big tree in my back yard, but I going to replace it with about a dozen new ones. Maybe there's a compromise to be made. Can't people compromise anymore?
