Foodnetwork did not need another southern cooking show!!!!!!!!!! They already have Pioneer Woman, Trisha, and the Shed....can we please get some real chefs back on the network and stop with all the southern home cooks!? Very disappointed....

why did you cut stacy she was the best you judges oughta have your heads examined stacy was the best

I have read the comments made by others and agree with many of them.. I think FN made a major mistake in keeping both Rodney and Russell - they should have been gone weeks ago. If Viet could beat Bobby Flay on Iron Chef he must have had loads of ability as a chef or a major mistake has been made in having any shows with Bobby. Paula Deen was fired because she used the "N" word under horrible circumstances years ago, but we get to see Rodney's pilot and there is no problem with him using the word "Dego". I think that is just as offensive and he should not be considered for a show. Let him make pies where he wants. Stacy would have been the best out of everyone that started out. Mistakes have been made before and we no longer see any of those shows - it looks like FN has not learned from the past. Of course, I'm not sure why they are bothering to find another star because most of the time when I turn on the TV to watch FN all I see are shows not helping anyone learn anything about cooking. Among the shows that are on so often are Iron Chef, Restaurant Impossible, Diners Drive-ins and Dives, Chopped, Unwrapped, Cupcake Wars, Mystery Diners, Chef Wanted, Ace of Cakes, Food Network Challenge Food Truck Race, Restaurant Stakeout, Sweet Genius, and Cut Throat Kitchen. Not saying all of these shows are horrible, but enough is enough. If you want cooking tips these shows will not do it. Consideration should be given to returning to your old format and have a few more cooking shows. Hopefully the next time Food Network Star will bring in people that would be good to watch because 2 of the final 3 will never make it. I didn't like the Sandwich King and have only seen that show once. Rodney and Russell will probably not get that much time. Kelsey was an example of someone that was not given a chance and for some reason FN decided to give her a show on the Cooking Channel. I hope you have better luck on the next season.

  • Bootz - 11 years ago

I watch the Food Network to learn. With Russell and Rodney I would not learn anything. But Damaris drives me crazy. Her pilot reminded me of the way she was at the beginning. I would not be able to watch her for very long.. so my vote went to Stacey even though not in the final 3.

  • Lorraine - 11 years ago

Bottom line is I would learn the most from Stacy or Damaris. The pie thing wil definitely get old and repetitious and fatty, unhealthy foods can only go so far. I think you made a mistake in not including Stacy, she has experience, intuition and creativity with a purpose.

A suggestion for FN: allow viewers to vote on the contestants and give that vote at least 25% weight on your decision. This gives each mentor 25% and the viewers a consolidated vote. The goal is to select the 'Next Food Network Star', and since a significant reason one of your chefs is a 'star' is based on how many viewers will watch this star's show (in lends to revenue for your business). I believe the judges at this point are really off the mark in selecting what viewers want to watch or get out of a cooking show. We don't want an obnoxious side show for carnival entertainment. We want a congenial personality with credible culinary skills who can share their ideas for selecting and preparing food and entertaining.

I need to finally comment after last year's horrid selection of Justin (I've yet to see any show he is featured and I would avoid viewing anything he is on); AND this season's elimination of the better constestants: Viet (most viewers want to have in their kitchen a lovely chef who can show us some new twists in cooking); Stacy (a classy, elegant lady who has a terrific POV for those of us who want to keep it classic but with a modern take); Niki (with her POV right on the trend of cooking. What are you saying about not enough food authority? What food authority does 'Pie Man' have? Pie Man has not demonstrated any culinary authority and has 4 adjectives in his vocab: boss, rules, frickin, sucks. That alone should have sent him home on the first round. AND, his show would put FN on the censored list with my young children. Russell's persona, POV, and image does NOT belong anywhere on TV even with all the horrid reality shows.

The the judges at this point are really off target on what viewers watching the Food Network want to see. Quit searching for another Guy and let the viewers have some say.

  • Harriet - 11 years ago

I am a long time viewer of the Food Network and now the Cooking Channel. Damaris makes me embarrassed to be from the South - something I am extremely proud of. I AM a Southern lady, but she is NO lady. I would watch Russell every day. Rodney is to carnival like....he is not a good representative of the FN. I would never watch one of his shows.

  • diane - 11 years ago

If Stacie was already on RI - how'd she come to rate being a contestant here too? Fact of the matter she couldn't pitch her show.
Damaris is NO Paula Deen, southern cooking or not she is down right annoying - what dish did she make in the what, 11 weeks, that blew anyone's socks off? And hand her a drink and she is a flake! I just don't see credibility there. Russell needs to decide who he I and won't he eventually add bacon and his other 6 sins to all food, then what?
Pie man needs to get the pie out his hole so people can understand his speak before he gets a show but then - "Sandwich King" was chosen so what does that say about what the network wants?? I can have Food Network on all day on the weekend and never tire of repeats but I turn the tv off when his show is on!

  • K Spring - 11 years ago

I scanned most of the previous entries here to get a feel for others' opinions. I wanted to see if I was way off-base, regarding my feelings about the season's choices for contestants and my belief that SN totally missed the mark when Staci and Nikki were sent home... Guess I wasn't far off, after all!

Staci was watchable, quietly fun and upbeat. With better contacts (or classy glasses), a symmetrical haircut, and a coach (Robert Irvine ??), she would have evolved into a classy, classic Food Network show host with a credible style, talent, and a following.

Nikki was definitely on target with her 'meat on the side' ideas. That is the current trend in the average home kitchen today -- NOT duck fries or 'pie style' or culinary 'sins', a la Rodney!
Frankly, I think Demaris is being groomed to take Paula Deen's empty slot -- which immediately loses my vote.

In my humble opinion, Food Network has really slipped in both programming and spotting current trends in home food preparation. Conestants do get a show, it will mean far fewer hours of viewing for me and, from the looks of it, a lot of others who have posted above me. HOPE those wunderkind FN execs who were part of the judging on Star take a little time to read the comments here.

  • Marie - 11 years ago

Just as in a prior season, when the "Sandwich Guy" was chosen, the decision to send Stacy home was a wrong one. Stacy was the most normal of the group and the contestant I could most relate to.

Why is it that you are seeking someone who is over the top and not just a normal person, with great culinary skills? Stacy came across as warm and welcoming and not weird, unlike all the remaining contestants. Sometimes I wonder what is in the water at Food Network that the judges could be so off, when making their choices. Maybe you are just out of touch with the common man (or woman) who watches Food Network?

  • Molly H - 11 years ago

Damaris has been my favorite for most of the show....she is funny, likeable, she sparkles & makes you want to watch! I think she would bring a lot to Food Network: personality, great ideas, love Southern cooking (since we won't get to see any from Paula anymore). Stacy... I liked her idea of modernizing vintage cooking. Rodney....What were you THINKING, Food Network???? He's loud, annoying, sounds like he has a mouth full of food & can't understand his fast loud mumble. Russell...food sins?! What the heck!! You really missed the mark. Final 3 should have been Damaris, Nicki & Stacy.

  • ME - 11 years ago

ALL YOU STACEY FENS YOU NEED TO KNOCK SOME SENSE INTO YOU BECAUSE STACEY WAS KICKED OFF THE SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!! (DUMBIES)

  • Bill - 11 years ago

This show has jumped the shark. FN is desperately trying to find another Guy. Rodney & Russell are terrible. Would never watch their shows. Damaris is average at best. After last season's Justin disaster it may be time to end this series.

  • east2west - 11 years ago

I'm turning off my DVR recording of FNS. Boo on you Food Network for getting rid of Stacey. Pie Guy, really? Yuck! Can't understand a word he says and his food isn't very appealing. Rodney seems desperate and Damaris is just ok. Very disappointing.

  • Diane - 11 years ago

I agree with so many of the comments above. I would definitely have watched a show with Stacey, I would consider watching a show with Damaris. I could barely watch Rodney and Russell's segments of the Next Food Network Star. I would never watch an entire show with either of them, too sloppy, poor enunciation, no authority what-so-ever. I wish Stacey good luck.

  • ME - 11 years ago

GO DAMARIS!!!!!! Why are people still voting for Stacey? She was voted off. STOP VOTING FOR STACEY!!!!!! And I see that Rodney is moving down the line. Thank you all Damaris fans!!!! We pulled ahead to first. Stacey, Russell, and Rodney fans YOU SUCK. And yes the judges are stupid for sending voting Stacey off. They should have voted off Russell.

  • lucy - 11 years ago

The only one I wanted to see win is Stacy, she has class, not like those othe three morons. If given the chance she could have learned to be more relaxed in front of the camera, Giada, remember what you were like in the beginning? And you dod not go through what Stacy did Shame on Food Network

  • Erika - 11 years ago

I think the judges were wrong for sending Stacy home when they should have sent pie man, Rodney, home. I can't understand what he is talking about because he talks fast and mumbles. Plus who wants to see a show about pies every single week, boring. He's one dimensional and so is Russell. I still don't understand Russell's POV. What does sin have to do with food - does anyone know??? Why does he call it sin - lame!! My vote is for Damaris. She's not ditsy, she's quirky in a fun way. Good southern cook, funny and charming. I would watch her. Yeah, what is up with Giada not liking the girls. Gave all her attention to 2 morons. I won't watch FN anymore if one of those guys wins. I don't think they have what it takes to have their own show.

  • Mike - 11 years ago

Well FNS you really slipped in the butter this time, the only one that would have been great to watch, and learn from was Stacy, her idea was the best, worst mistake ever on your staff.
Ask us what we want (America) not what your judges want, they have their own shows, and some of those sink …

Damaris was the only vote from me, she was a very strong second too Stacy, your boys (Pie & Sins) what a joke, should have never made it to the final three.

  • Debra - 11 years ago

This was the worst season EVER for FNS, When you have 2 of the final 3 people I would never watch (Russell and pie guy) it is so sad.

  • ME - 11 years ago

Russell's 7 sins thing is so stupid. Thank you all Damaris fans!!!!!! Stacey and Russell fans, you stink.

  • ME - 11 years ago

YA!!!!!!! Damaris is in the lead. What is pie style? And Russell is not going to catch up fast enough.

  • Rosemary - 11 years ago

Dear Food Network, You have clearly lost touch with your viewers. Or perhaps you are worried that a win for Stacy would be a threat for some of your other so-called "stars". She was the only one who I felt drawn to watch right from the beginning, with an engaging smile, personal stories and real cooking ability. I loved her POV, which was evident from the earliest episodes. She didn't need to rely on schtick (like Rodney) or bravado (like Russell). Demaris may develop into someone I would watch, but she is a bit too 'ditsy' for my liking. Frankly, I am tired of TV personalities who assault me with a constant barrage of loud, fast, meaningless drivel. I miss the days of a solid, pleasant host, who welcomes me into her/his kitchen and invites me to stay for 30 minutes, engaging me and teaching me while I'm there. None of the 3 finalists do that for me.

Additional notes: Guy Fieri is over exposed (enough, already); Alton Brown is becoming less and less likable; you have waaaaay too many competition shows; you did Paula Deen dirty; the "network" is out of touch with its viewers.

  • joanie - 11 years ago

I wish they had kept Chris. He was the one I was watching most closely because he combined a humility with a real presence and lots of energy. I just liked him and he could cook.

I agree that Stacy seemed polished and not fake. She was disciplined but she never came off as fake on camera to me. She did seem the most professional and had the most to offer.

  • joanie - 11 years ago

Stacy would have had the best show. After watching all three, I didn't like any of their themes. Is Russell going to put bacon and lard into everything? Will we spend a whole season watching the pie guy who can't cook high five everybody and call them baby or man? And Demaris could be a real star but even she hasn't got an idea that works. I loved Stacy's idea. You'd think they were awarding a season of "pitches" to the winner. Look at ideas over pitches folks. Stacy's idea was a winner for many of us who really like to cook. I've got tons of old cookbooks and would have loved to see how she modernized the recipes. I have a feeling they all think the pie guy is the star but I gotta say, I'll watch him not. A little of Rodney goes a long, long way.

  • JB - 11 years ago

When I viewed all three pilots, one stood out as being so much better
than the other two. It had a flow to it, easy to understand and follow.
The pilot, I believe would add to the network a good idea...showing
the best of what others already have and then adding a special new
recipe that they could add to their menu. Also, the person doing this
pilot has come so far in developing his on screen presence and is
sincere in trying to do the best that they could. Before I watched the
pilots...I had someone else in mind...but my mind changed entirely
when I saw Russell do this one. He took his time, was very easy to
follow, was concise and to the point, looked at the camera often and
included the audience in what he was doing. It was natural with
no "look at me" kind of feeling and it was relaxed. I felt I was watching
a chef and not the person trying to get my attention by acting different.
Russell would get my vote, if I didn't have to use facebook in order
    to vote for him.

  • mafarf - 11 years ago

I will miss Stacy. Damaris is okay but Rodney, who can't cook and doesn't have anything to offer and Russell, who doesn't really know what his POV is, are worthless. No one can understand half of what Rodney says - he is so high on himself. Russell is annoying and is not star worthy. I would not watch either of them. If you can't learn something from the chefs on your network, what is the point in watching.

  • sensei ronald panlilio - 11 years ago

I also think you missed the boat on picking russell over stacey. I mean russell has a cool point of view, but it took him the whole season to figure it out. But for me I would rather watch stacey over russell any day. I know she got a lot of feedback about being guarded, but to me she prepared for what she wanted to say. And most of your other chef competitors were good cooks, but many had really bad attempts at hosting a show. Stacey told the best stories of any of your contestants consistently. I hope you bring her back to develop a show with her later. Damaris and Rodney are entertaining, and I think Russell has potential. But I really dont think he is there yet to be a food star. To be honest, after you cut Stacey I turned off the show. I didnt even watch the three pilots after that choice. Bummer.

  • Lana a - 11 years ago

I'm so so upset that Stacy got cut u guys are messed up voters!!! Who is interested in the stupid nasty looking pies anyway wth?? I'm not that for sure!! And russels dumb culinary sins so stupid go home! I agree with Jenny Robinson !
Stacy was sweet and had really good food ideas I would of loved to watch her! can't believe Giada didnt pick her but Russell! Really!!?!? I'm so mad right now don't wanna watch Another show

  • dana - 11 years ago

Damaris should be more humble. She is good looking and should not be so' sure of herself" or at least to show off. She should take example from Giada who is beautiful and does not have to brag about it. Her beauty comes out by Giada's cooking, the way she speaks etc.

Russel is the best cook and with acting coach should do very well.

  • Jeannette - 11 years ago

Food network execs, and the three judges: Are you out of your minds? Rodney is perhaps the weakest contest EVER. What the heck is Pie Style? I've never heard so much nonsense spouted by someone who is so incredibly UNWATCHABLE. He is so full of himself and over what? Doesn't cook well, as demonstrated week after week. What's with all the LOVE for him and Russell and none for Stacey who to me was someone I enjoyed watching and wanted to learn more about.

There is something clearly wrong when judges consistently favor someone like Rodney who they have even said doesn't meet the basic cooking standards. They think he's watchable? Well, guess what. A lot of us don't agree and I personally will never watch Russell or Rodney do anything.

Ugh. I am beyond disappointed that they offed Stacy and a few others who had far more potential and were more authentic. Sick Sick SICK to death of Rodney's STUPID and meaningless drivel and schtick.

Wake up food network execs. This game you're playing? It does not work.

very upset Stacy was not moved on to top 3, pie guy dropped out of my list of favorites a couple of weeks ago. Better coaching, other then we need to learn something about you. If she had know better what type of verbage that met she could have aced it, I'm not watching pie guy, his food hasn't cut it, or rodney, why would I ever cook his style of "sinful foods". very disappointed in your decisions.

Pie guy, give me a break, how many decent pies this guy made during the whole competition, maybe two?

  • MA Wilson - 11 years ago

Not pleased that they didn't put Stacy through to make a pilot. I agree with many people that the Pie Man is hard to understand and comes across as kinda dumb. Can't believe they picked Russell over Stacy. But, in the end, it will just net another Food Network show that no one will watch. Keep trying to put your pseudo "stars" on Chopped, etc. You're passing over personality and poise for flash in the pan. Did it last year and looks like the decision is the same for this year. Perhaps Demaris will win, but you've cut some of the best candidates way too early so you could go for unusual rather than someone people want to watch. Every year can't be a Guy Fieri, as much as you'd like it to be.

Food Network -- you totally missed it. Stacy's idea for a show that brings back granny's old recipes would have been a big hit. She could show the orginal recipe for those of us "back to basics" people that would love to replicate granny's cinnamon rolls plus show how it could be updated for today. She was more real an d a lot warmer than any of the three finalists. Why didn't you poll us to see which three pilots WE wanted? We're the ones you want to reach!

  • Kim McCormick - 11 years ago

I cannot stand the "pie guy" his posture, his personality ( if that is what you call it) and I would never watch it the show as it would be simply boring. Just like the Sandwich king... But Demaris oozes that southern charm and sex appeal and what's she gonna say next ability to capture the audience. Stacy has more charm, poise and polish than any of the other contestants. Her food was always better as were her presentations. Giada thought she did not 'connect'. It was her opinion that swayed the final vote. Stacey has more appeal than Giada could ever hope to generate. Her fake grin and petty smugness has never made her a 'star' in my book. • Barbara - 11 years ago

I am so disappointed in the judges of this show. Stacey was the only contestant that had star quality and was someone I felt had any authority in cooking that would make me watch their show. I will not watch a show created for any of the final three. I cry "foul" that Robert Irvine could/would judge Stacey after having to bail out her failing restaurant. She would NOT make a good host!

  • Paula - 11 years ago

P.S. someone please tell Giada to take off those horrible platform shoes. She's looking way out of proportion (and I think she's beautiful without stilts). Right now, she's looking like that TR in animated movie that has a "really big head and teeny little arms".

  • Paula - 11 years ago

Egads, who is paying people to vote for Rodney & Staci!? Staci is boring. She needs to run her restaurant & pay her dad back.
I think Damaris is absolutely fun to watch. She's fun and warm and real. Maybe she's getting the backlash from Paula D's seemingly unforgiveable sins because she's from the South.
Russel, I love that you have come a long way and you really can cook.
All are sweet, but Rodney can't cook (at least he hasn't demonstrated it yet) and he doesn't take direction.
We all have to take direction and learn. Can he really learn? I think Staci is really not fun to watch. She's sweet. period.

GET RID OF STACEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL I CAN SAY IS FAKE! FAKE ! FAKE!,,PREVIOUS POST ROBERT IRVINE BAILED HER OUT ONCE..WHAT WAS FN THINKING BRINGING HER ON..WHAT A WASTE .......

  • Bill - 11 years ago

Ok guys. After having watched Food Network almost full time for the past 2 years while going through tongue cancer, I can honestly say that I am sick of f'ing "pie style"...... Can this guy prepare anything else? Does everything have to be in a pie? I will admit that he is somewhat entertaining for a half wit. But FN will lose me as a viewer if "pie style" gets a show. Pair him with that Adam guy from the Travel Channel, and you might have something. It could be called.... Pie Style Half Wits

  • Marian - 11 years ago

All of my foodie friends are in their late 50s early 60s. We love Damaris. Don't know why anyone would think her appeal is only in the 30s age group. Stacy has possibilities and Russel has talent. Unfortunately, I agree with Seshu - Rodney is a loose cannon who thinks he knows more than those mentoring him. And his hat does look dirty, not jaunty.

  • Lisa - 11 years ago

I just cannot vote for Stacy..I can't see myself seeing her as any kind of food network expert when Robert Irvine had to help her bail out her own restaurant. Sorry, FN but having her on this season was just a gimmick. Russell still hasn't provide a clear vision of what he is all about. I like either Rodney or Damaris. I would accept either one of them as the winner.

  • Jennifer - 11 years ago

I am still so upset about Nikki being let go that I am having trouble caring about the finale at all. I like Stacy and Damaris and would probably give their shows a chance. I can't see myself caring about a show with either Russel or Rodney.

The judges keep giving Stacy a hard time about connecting with her audience but I think it's Rodney that doesn't connect. When you can't understand half of what he says or does how can you connect with him?

  • Andrew - 11 years ago

I think at this point they are all good. My vote is with Rodney though. I agree with 'Lets Get Real', I like FN stars who aren't middle of the road. Rodney brings flair to the station. I'd watch him for the entertainment, and bonus, he makes a mean pie when given enough time.

  • ed - 11 years ago

Demaris is good but shes just another generic blonde on tv. Nothing really unique and her personality doesnt appeal to people that arent 30 something new moms and shes not cute enough to appeal to men. Kinda homely.

Dennis is Dennis. Hes awkward and kinda boring. The wannabe punk look on a gentle guy just doesnt work.

Stacy is fake, she has that forced smile she learned is her community college acting class after she was on kitchen impossible when she decided to make a push into tv. she has insane crazy eyes that are a bit uncomfortable to look at and she grates nerves.

Rodney. well, hes a total trip. hes totally a goof and flighty but when hes in a POV with someone and just canning the over the top routine he really shines. Hes a real natural with people. Hes fairly unpolished but thats what editing is for. In a year of doing appearances and shows he will be as smooth as butter. Hes unique and genuine like it or not. He tops the fan polls which means one thing.. people like him. All the others dont really have that "it" factor. sure they would make good hosts but something about RH scream superstar.

  • Dan Terzo - 11 years ago

The difference between Damaris and the others is that they MIGHT be a show. She is a FRANCHISE!!

  • Why Pie? - 11 years ago

Damaris is adorable. She's also a good cook and great teacher. She has won several challenges and has improved her tv presentation style. She IS different from other food network personalities because she look like the pretty girl next door and is fun and zany. I live in Louisville and was able to catch a local new stations segment about her. Some of the senior culinary staff at her college were interviewed and they said Damaris was a creative and excellent student. That caused them to offer a teaching position and that her students absolutely love her as a teacher and mentor.

Perhaps part of my wish to have Damaris win is that I like listening to her and I can understand what she is saying.

I can't understand what Rodney is saying and the judges have repeatedly comment on that fact. We are in a world where morbid obesity is a problem and most dough is just full of empty carbs and calories. Why would Food Network wasn't to promote someone who will add to the obesity problem who can't even give you what ingredients he is using while he cooks? Maybe they should create a Pie Wars show to go with cupcake wars. Invite Rodney to host it. The he can play his guitar and make jokes while his commentator and judges discuss what is in the pies and how they taste.

The competition for Food Network Star includes cooking lots of different types of food and explaining the whys of the process. The winner should be a great teacher that you can understand, like the lovely Damaris!

  • Ruth - 11 years ago

I think the judges made a big mistake sending Nikki home. They should have gotten rid of the pie man. I will never watch a show with him on it. He seems phony, and can't cook . I also think it is a big mistake letting people vote for the winner. People vote for who is cute, not for who is best.

  • Timmy K. - 11 years ago

Stacey and Damaris are lovely and bright. They both seem talented and would no doubt make very good television (they already have) but there are already Staceys and Damarises on tv.
I'm ready for a food show that's real and fun. I'm ready for pie style.

  • Lets get real - 11 years ago

Stacy is phooooony. Food Network is already boring enough. Do we really need another stuck up snoozefest like Stacy and Russell...yawn. Damaris is adorable but Rodney actually has the chops. He's a refreshing change to the old stuffy fuddy duddy FN and their fuddy duddy fans. Lets have some fun for once! Rodney all the way.

  • Becalina - 11 years ago

Rodney is by far the most entertaining! PieStyle baby!!

  • Julius - 11 years ago

This season had such a diversely talented and memorable cast. Congratulations to the finalists! Rodney is best suited to host a new show because of his good heart, natural talent as a performer and creative artist, and his intuitive, fun-loving approach to cooking, teaching, and life. His mission to bring the modern pie to the forefront of American cuisine is only the beginning. Rodney has the appeal to attract an entirely new fanbase to the Food Network and inspire a new generation to roll up their sleeves and get started in the kitchen. Pie style!

  • SoBo Hon - 11 years ago

I think all of the final four are likable, but only one is lovable. Rodney's enthusiasm for pie style is captivating. I have tasted his pies & they are outstanding. It takes more than an hour to make a decent pie and that, so far, has been the longest time limit in the challenges, often leaving him at a disadvantage. It is terrific that he is unpredictable, as most creative minds are! He is the one I would tune in for every week because of that alone! I want to learn something, but I want to be entertained, too.

  • Michael - 11 years ago

How can Stacy win? She was on restaraunt impossible.

  • VendorBender - 11 years ago

Stacy reminds me of the female Gremlin. What I really wanna see is Rodney Henry ejecting seductively out of a giant pie. Pie-Style all the way.

  • VendorBender - 11 years ago

  • Christina - 11 years ago

Stacy is the best! Damaris could be annoying and the guys don't have it at all.

If Stacy comes across polished and is so perfect; so is Giada (SP) and most of the other Network Stars. I don't see them screwing up things in front of the camera.

Stacy is VERY likable, very knowledgeable, very sweet and sooooo beautiful. The camera really loves her and so do we in San Diego.

Stacy - you go girl!!! I would so watch your shows and tape them too; so that I can learn to be so inventive and "polished" just like you.

    Love you Chika!!!

  • Jeff - 11 years ago

Rodney FTW. I like me some Pie Style!

  • Annette - 11 years ago

I like Stacey the best and I agree with Dan and Bonnie. Sure she comes across polished, but I don't think she comes across fake. She seems sweet and endearing and she's someone I could trust. Also, she's been consistent for the whole season. I can't understand why they let Nicki go instead of Rodney. He served a dish with raw dough. He's been at the bottom several times and although I can't taste his food, the judges almost always never like it. Why would I want to watch someone that doesn't make good food? He says he's the pie guy. I haven't seen it. I'm not sure he could make a pie. (My grandma and great aunt were pie experts. Unfortunately, they didn't teach me the same skills.) Rodney seems too inconsistent to me. I'm not sure he still has a culinary point of view (at least not one that he can express). Damaris seems likeable and the judges usually like her food. I think this show sometimes makes the mistake of picking people who are just plain weird and account that for personality. Alright, they did that with last seasons winner and where is he? (Not that I would watch him anyway. I'm not going to look for cooking advice from someone who puts unwrapped candy in the microwave and then has to try to get the wrapping off after it's melted.

  • Dan Terzo - 11 years ago

The guys just don't have the charisma at all!! Stacy is a real sweetheart but she sounds like she is talking to kindergarteners, just doesn't come across genuine. Damaris has it all, great cook, charisma, knowledgeable, a great combination of expertise and southern charm. She is just being herself and it. You want to hear what she has to say and buy whatever she is selling. She is also in a niche where there is great demand.

  • Bonnie Metzler - 11 years ago

Week after week I hear the panel charging Stacy with not connecting. I have no idea where they get that. She is very watchable, knowledgeable, attractive, sweet and endearing. She is almost the only one who consistently thanks the panel and guests for their feedback - good or negative. Russell is a contender but it's taken him the entire season almost to come into himself, where Stacy has had "IT" from the start. It's just a no-brainer. Rodney is a turnoff with his "what's happening" and "sucker" comments. I am hopeful that when the professional network judges start deliberating they will see clearly the only winner should be Stacy. Go Stacy!

  • Sarah - 11 years ago

Damaris is highly entertaining and knows a lot. She has a fun personality and is one of the main reasons I have stayed tuned into the show. She has a good deal to offer and I would watch her on the food network. She should win!

  • Isabelle - 11 years ago

I like Russell because is different, interesting and can cook. I want to hear more about his food revolution b/c cooking should be fun. It appears that he will be able to demonstrate that fun on a show of his own!

  • Seshu - 11 years ago

    I like Stacy and Damaris.

Stacy is not guarded or unapproachable as they claim. I like her.
    Damaris is cute and fun.

Either of the ladies winning would be good.

Russell is pretty good, a nice man, but inconsistant.

Rodney is a loose cannon. I don't trust him.
If he is doing live TV you can not trust him to keep to what has been planned. He always thinks he knows much more than anyone else. The hat looks dirty and grubby. He is inside, men do not wear them inside... Dump him. Yes, he is funny and entertaining, a fun personality, but a LOOSE CANNON.
