What is the most important issue facing the church? (Poll Closed)

According to Jesus, the most important issue facing the Church, was and is the Great Commission. That, my friends, will take care of all the other issues, or Jesus was wrong.

I believe the most important issue facing us today is maintaining Christianity in America. On a day-to-day basis, all references to God and Christianity are being removed. The most often reason sited is the fear of seeming intolerant of other religions/beliefs. This Country was founded on the belief in God and our Country has been blessed by God for this belief. If we allow the removal of God and Christianity from our Country, we will cease to experience his blessings. It is time for the silent majority to be heard. We need to press to keep "one nation under God" in our Pledge of Allegiance, we need to keep Christianity in our Country. In our court systems we are asked to swear on the bible that we are telling, the truth and the whole truth, so help us God; yet the 10 commandments cannot be displayed on courthouse property. Only with the blessings of God can we remain the great Country we are. Please one and all fight for your right of belief in Christianity and your right for this Christianity to continue to be a major part in our Country. May God Bless America and its People always. The most important issue facing the church today is the lack of the knowledge of God. We don't know that one whom we belong to and therefore we lack power and conviction in our daily lives. Eternal life is found in the knowledge of God (John 17:3) and without knowing the Father and Jesus we do not have the One Thing that we claim.

The critical issue among Christians today is the unequivacal acceptance of the Word of God. Far too many slants of Gospel truth are being taught such as New Age and modern evangelism that in many cases teaches that Jesus is our "Buddy" to the exclusion of Him as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Where is the fear of God? Along with many doctrines it is watered down to where it is barely recognizable. We must not change Gospel truth to meet the so called modern day environment. God, therefore His Word, never changes.

Lloyd Phipps is correct, saving souls witnessing of Jesus is what will solve problems. This coupled with living a Christ like life is what is necessary for people to change. We pay so little attention to witnessing that we like many other countries will soon find ourselves in a post Christian country. Though of course nothing happens outside of God's plan.
Knowledge doesn't lead to salvation, there are many men with a DDS behind their names who don't believe, my father was one. I have spent enough time on the activist side of faith to know few who are willing to give up days to protest, letter write, etc, pray for leaders or those in positions of leadership with whom they don't agree, except (maybe) in team prayer meetings. Preach Christ and the new heart will change the mind and bring it in submission to the laws of God.

The Church is facing numerous problems. Our great comission to save and disciple new beleivers has reach a point in which we have tried many different ways to evangelize and grow churches into mega churches, but we loss the really meaning of the Gospel and that is Living the Word of God according to the true revelation of Christ. We have learned to entertained, accept Jesus Christ every Harvest or every concert. We are paying rock bands, bands in general, christians artist to praise for us the Lord. We have let the world influence our service to God. We are really living the last days on earth... Isaac had two sons ... Jacob and Esau. Only one wanted to please God even with his mistakes... Jacob. We on the other hand are not doing enough to preach the true Gospel of Jesus Christ in churches. We are just entartaining people so they can support the offerings and tithes. The truth of the Word of God does not have to be compromised by fear of people leaving a church because they dont like the pastor or the sermon. Our main focus is in preaching the true Gospel of Jesus Christ and word of God with practical living. Please note that we are only listening to christian leaders talk about offerings and donations, prosperity when you give your donations, mega gatherings about miracles and wonders. Have you ever heard mega gatherings were the only focus will be The Word of God, the Gospel of Jesus Christ? I think folks would not come to such event because their favorite band would not attend or because they were only looking for signs. Do we know the true sign of Christ? This is the only sign Jesus Christ left for you to have eternal life: Death and Resurrection in Romans 10: 9 Because, if you say with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and have faith in your heart that God has made him come back from the dead, you will have salvation: For with the heart man has faith to get righteousness, and with the mouth he says that Jesus is Lord to get salvation. Our Goal is to Get to heaven by living the Word of God. Honestly... when was the last time you prayed for more that 10 minutes or 20 minutes? when was the last time you read the Word of God for more that 10 minutes or 20 minutes outside church? Many people would say that i was traditional or fanatic because i pray and read the Bible outside church? Our problem is this that we are only surrendering half or a quater of our lives to God and we are leaving the True Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Word of God on the side. Lets pray more, lets ask God more a better revelation of the Gospel of Christ and the Word of God. Please read the following verses:

The most important issue facing the church is gay marriage.
God intended man to marry woman when he wrote The Bible, and not other men, or goats even.
When a minister says "I now pronounce you man and wife" he goes on to say "and you may now kiss the bride" not "and you may now suck the bride's cock" or "you may now stick your prick up this bride's ass" depending on who's doing the batting.
Sex between sexually active sex partners of the same sex and sexual orientation is sexually not true sex at all, but a sin against God and God's sex-plan.
