John made a great speach as usual. I think that the message would have been a lot more powerfull if he had some screens around the room with other locations around the world ie-- RTP, Europe... doing what he was saying. I think that would have made the speach. It may be a great ideal for next year to show where we are and what progress we have made toward John Chambers charge for this year. It will also show Cisco green initiative.

    Thanks

Real time video interaction across the internet never took off because there wasn't ever enough affordable bandwidth. I can't get the thought out of my mind of why Chambers didn't account for the fact that video has been around and codecs that were usable enough - but it's only until recently that an average small/medium business could afford or see options of bandwidth higher than a T1 w/o having a major impact on the financial burden of a company. The service providers and competition are certainly worth mentioning here of actually providing affordable - higher bandwidth options than 1.5Mb.

Transfers call by iPhone shaking was cool!

John it an amazing speaker and is second-to-none when it comes to clearly articulating complex topics. As long as John remains CEO, Cisco will continue to thrive under his leadership. John and his executive team at Cisco are visionaries and have consistently executed on their promise to deliver. I have the utmost confidence Cisco will successfully drive web 2.0 business-enabling technologies into all of the markets we heard about today. And on a personal note, I simply cannot wait for Telepresence in the home!

Are you sure I can't get one of those Cisco iPhones? Looking forward to the mobility.

The speech was good but he has given better speeches. The concept of DNA is a bit elusive. I felt the iPhone lacked a strong business use that has accompanied demos of the past.

I wonder how they are going to pull off TelePresence at Home......

It was a good presentation and some good fuel for speculation. What is the future of UC on iPhones? Did we just see the killer app that will bring iPhones into the enterprise?

I especially liked the part about a continued high demand for skilled IT engineers!

The speach was good, but not as great as the one last year. Why? A lot of things are being repeted this year again. Little has been done. I We do not yet see how inteligence in the network is being delivered by Cisco.

I love the vision. It's VERY modern and driven by change and innovation, however I'm not certain that all Cisco Senior Management buys it.

Amazing speech today by John Chambers - normally I'd be 5 yawns into a speech before they grab my attention (trully grab my attention). I was on the edge of my sit for nearly the entire speech today waiting for that next bit of information. John Chambers is an amazing speaker that is very good at showing he has a passion for his job - definately a comforting attitude in today's economy.

"Green" is about politics. Leave that out of technology.
