Although I cannot understand how it is that Haymarket is able to offer such great prices for produce, I have stooped questioning it and get all my summer fruits and vegetables at this great outdoor market in downtown Boston.
Been spending a lot of time in Upstate NY lately. Enjoy stopping by the Amish road side stands to check out the produce and fresh baked goods. Got to hand it to them...they turn the soil with horse and plow and cultivate by hand. The whole family gets involved and of course they are all about organic. Typically good stuff at a good price...though course hand ground whole wheat bread can be an acquired taste.
