I adore David Archuleta and everything he stands for! I am not a teenager but I do agree with the writer that, obviously, the 17 year old girl lives within me still. He has the most beautiful and touching voice that I've ever heard and I never tire of hearing him sing. Every morning, while I sit in my living room and apply my make-up for work, I play back the finale night on my DVR and listen to his last three breathtaking performances and get chills every time! Quite honestly, he was the only reason I tuned in every week this season, not only to hear his wonderful, inspiring voice, but simply to see his smiling face. I don't really care what other people think of my obsession (my husband included)...I sometimes don't understand it myself, but I do know one thing for sure..and that is how he has touched my life. I pray for his tremendous success and his happiness throughout his lifetime.

From a Mary Lou to a Mary Lee: You expressed what I feel, absolutely. What is it about this young man? He has brought so much joy to our lives. It's mind-boggling. My grandchildren razz me all the time about my obsession with David. But I'm having so much fun that I don't care. I haven't felt this joy since I fell in love with Mario Lanza many, many years ago. Nice to see all the wonderful comments about David. Also nice to know we're not alone!

I am also not 17, but I new he was the ONE when he first auditioned. have been listening to all types of music all my life and ahve picked many a star. But, when I heard him and saw that smile, I knew. My family thinks I have lost it, but I know it is his inner soul that is in his music. He is beyond his years and so refreshing for me to see that the youth that cares is out there. His voice is so uplifting, I I know he will suceed in anything he ventures into. I hope it is music as I cannot think of a year without new songs from him. I too have watched and rewatched the idol season over and over. I have the album, his younger clips[which blew me away] and I will be going to see him perform in Chicago in March. I absolutely adore this young man. Praise to God and his family. Thanks David .
