The school committee (and all departments in town) need to watch and make cuts wherever possible. A savings of $200,000 can not be overlooked! The bus company will be watched carefully to be certain the special needs children are well taken care of. Yes, there will be a transition for the kids and it is more difficult for SPED children to adjust to change. It is the parents responsibility to help the children adjust to changes. We have great parents in town and they will do a fine job assisting the kids with the transition.
