There are no losers at this particular time :D ...Unless someone is stupid enough to sell their stock while the price is down. :|

The ones who will lose if Yahoo! is bought up by some other entity (*especially* Icahn [crash TWA straight into the ground at Mach 10]), or worse yet, dies will be _*US*_, those of us who have used Yahoo! for many years for various things. :(

I think that Yang is the one for the job because if he's smart enough to achieve what he has he should be smart enough to look back and see what worked, implement it and see what didn't work and change it for the better.

As Yahoo backs into Google another ad avenue is taken off the table. Choices are gone, prices go up - Google will have control over much of the western on-line advertising industry. For the consumer I believe that a Microsoft/Yahoo partnership would have been better for everybody in the long run. Yahoo will die overtime with the ad/search market share going mainly to Google. Microsoft could still do better in the on-line search ad space by just implementing an Ad based system similar to that of Google. It is the content providers (web site builders) that are willing to take the time to try & earn cash from ads and implement what is required to make that happen on websites they build. And for advertises it means that the ads are more targeted as websites tend to be more community orientated. It would be a simple win/win for Microsoft and advertisers.
